1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store most of your coins for long term storage? on: May 21, 2013, 10:50:07 PM
JPEG photos of a paper wallet, hidden amongst family and pet photo album archives. Even if you were staring the photo it wouldn't be immediately obvious there was a private key on it. I guess this could be regarded as steganography in its most basic form.

This is a really cool idea for a backup!
haha yea i thought it would be neat

Just to put everyones fears to ease. my main use in this poll is a few reasons
  • figuring out where I should store my personal coins
  • am looking into opening a service that will store users coins for them
  • figuring out stats for the amout of users who would use my service

A neat idea would be a wallet privitekey in a picture of colors. for example the types of pictures where you have the green line, then the black line, and so on. Cant think of what its called tho.
1303  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL 1500GH/s Mini-Rig Pre-order on: May 20, 2013, 10:11:23 PM
so because the usd/btc rate went up we should pay you more?

Also yes it is true that you cant buy one now currently. you can buy avalon asic chips below
http://store.avalon-asics.com/?product=avalon-asic-chips-10000

which if you bought just one batch you would have 2820000Mhashs which is almost double the minirig and is only 780BTC about 94380USD.  which is still alot cheaper. You would still need to pay for setting them up and such but still if it costs 144k you would be getting a better hash rate anyways.
1304  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC deposit accountsbearing interest? on: May 20, 2013, 11:20:16 AM
i belive tradefortress offered something along those lines. Nothing close to that 7% a week tho
1305  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL 1500GH/s Mini-Rig Pre-order on: May 20, 2013, 11:04:45 AM
yea 144000USD for a 30k mini rig doesnt quite seem a bit crazy to you? I cant verifiy but I belive the unit costs 30k. BFL site seems to allow you to go to any page but the product price pages.

I pursue a mixed strategy. Checkboxes would be better.

I think it would be nice if we could add a way so that when I hover over the volume I can see howmuch exactly it was.

i dont want to laugh at you, but you are basically blaming the community for your problem which makes no sense. Because your computer wasnt protected well enough you blame others?

1316  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 50GH/s Miner from BFL (Contest Winner, Shipping in first batch) on: May 14, 2013, 05:39:17 PM
Wow, looks like the ASICminer blades were snapped up quickly. Looking at the price per GH/s on this auction I am lowering my final price to match.

ASICminer blades (10GH/s) sold for 49.99BTC each.

My "perpetually soon to be shipped" BFL Single SC is 50GH/s, so I'm setting the price at 249.95BTC (adjusted as mtgox usd price moves to ~29,500USD)

If this price isn't met I'll be re-listing on ebay once shipping is finalized.

no offense but there is a few major differences. First off, the asic will be gotten in a week max. Second off the power and specs are all finalized unlike BFL which has already changed the power/ghash
