1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin classified as a currency. No VAT for BTC also in Switzerland. on: October 09, 2015, 10:35:58 PM
Switzerland was always independent, even in the world wars. This is why money likes Switzerland, but since the major countries agreed to share the details of the secret bank accounts, it's shine had fade a bit.
But if Switzerland likes Bitcoin, I'm really happy and looking forward for it's positive effects
1922  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: October 09, 2015, 10:19:11 PM
If I buy a pizza for that amount, it will be cold by the time the payment get processed in blockchain... My last payment was pending for 2 days. If you pay more to get your payment processed quicker, the price of the pizza will be higher, even if there is no free delivery

OK but how can bitcoin save me from crisis if it's not accepted by the merchants in my country? (OK, there are bitcoin based debit cards but if the crisis will hit in there can be a problem with the acceptance of them as well, e.g. higher rates for merchants to accept those kind of cards, etc)
Is there any country where I can do my regural living and pay only with bitcoin (at least, buying in webshops, where they accept bitcoin) for the milk an bread...
1924  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: October 09, 2015, 09:47:09 PM
Acceptance can be OK with the bitcoin backed debit cards. Most of the merchants won't notice that you payed with bitcoins, they only see the VISA logo.
On the long run they will accept bitcoins via phone NFC payment but it's really long term I think.

Maybe they are only collecting email addresses? Now I will wait a bit if it's a temporary problem that the requests are rejected or maybe the project is over.
I understand that if something is cheap (even free) it makes people suspect some scam because there is no free lunch at all
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 09, 2015, 09:20:48 PM
So guys if I understand it well, dice and slots are pure luck based and only blackjack and poker are based on skills that can be learned?
Sporting bets are based on information you can collect (and some expectations) that's totally different from the above mentioned ones.
So if I don't want to spend a lot of time to learn poker or blackjack, I should try dice to start gambling?
Or should I wait and learn to play poker, if I want to improve my profit?

Blackjack and Pokers are ONLY based on skill if played in a real casino. Playing those games online is not the same thing.

Like you can't count cards online but you can in a real casino.
Sorry I don't catch the point. Why I can not count the cards online? Are there any restrictions (time limit or anything) that makes it impossiblexto count them online or why?

Has anyone tried these kind of cards at automatic gas stations? With a normal embossed card you will have an amount of 50-100 USD (or equivalent in the card's currency) on hold and been released after payment has cleared later on.
Does anyone faced this kind of problem (or not problem) with the bitcoin cards as well?

What kind of game would you recommend to start with on your site? If I register on your site and post my username in your giveaway thread, and if I get the 5.000 satoshi reward, can I start to play with it in any of your games? Sorry for the beginner question, I'm new to gambling, but learning fast Smiley

You can register free xyz domain locally if I understand it right. Why does it make sense to register it with this provider? Does it give any extra thing to you to use it's service instead of your local one?

So this was only a fake story with a strange bitcoin address involved or I have missed the point?
Helpneeded101 has not needed help at all, was only entertaining us thats nice Smiley

Is there a kind of risk management strategy that works in connection with gambling? E.g. if you speculate in the real market on the price of a stock you can define entry points and stoploss points. Even you can decide to risk only predefined % of your capital in one transaction.
Is there a kind of similar thing in gambling or is it needed anyway?
1933  Economy / Services / Re: FREE top level domain .xyz on: October 06, 2015, 07:57:54 PM
Have you managed to start using your new domain yet or you have just registered them?
I'm planning to start a bitcoin related website, so a free domain would be nice for me to start with.
Another thing is that if I manage to start and get a new website working, I would be happy to know if after a year I have to pay twice or third the price of a normal renewal or not.
1934  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: selling bitcoin in uk on: October 06, 2015, 07:48:43 PM
I won't accept PayPal as a payment method, you can be scammed really quickly. It's reversible as mentioned and PayPay doesn't like bitcoin so they will surely decide against you in most cases.
I'm not 100% sure that debit card transactions are reversible (on POS, but might be on web transactions), but credit card transactions are surely as dangerous for you as PayPal.
If you accept bank transfer, tax authority will ask you a bit later about the income possibly.
How do you plan to accept cash online?
1935  Economy / Services / Re: 100[btc] Bounty on: October 05, 2015, 10:50:56 PM
If you payed with bank transfer, you should know at least the real name of the guy. If you are in a same country you could maybe find a lawyer and try to force him to pay it back.
OK, you set the 2FA on that account. Is it a web account or more secure one?
Is it possible that he continues to scam others and this is why BTC is still being sent to that account?

1936  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have you tried XAPO debit card? on: October 05, 2015, 10:01:49 PM
Really useful for using your bitcoins for everyday purchases, saves you having to answer stupid questions from coinbase, or risk your bank account getting flagged if you're using LocalBitcoins to cash out.
Please let me know a bit more about this flagging because of LocalBitcoins. I have never tried it yet but as I have imagined it is just a help for the seller and the buyer to find each other. I thought that the phisical transaction uses only the bitcoin wallets and phisical money (bank notes, etc) at a personal meeting but not bank account.
Do you mean that if you want to exchange your BTC to money you need to provide a bank account to receive the money?
Sorry for noob questions, I'm new to the world of BTC, but I'm about to educate myself on the subject Smiley
1937  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have you tried XAPO debit card? on: October 04, 2015, 09:31:13 PM
It's interesting, because when I have used my card the first time, I checked the transaction log immediately. It showed that a Coke was 0.81 EUR roughly, the BTC amount was specified. I have checked back several times and later on the EUR amount changed to 0.84 EUR, with the same BTC amount.
This only makes sense for me if the transaction log shows the EUR amount based on the actual exchange rate and not on the historic one before the transaction completes on the bitcoin chain. So it has changed a bit, but after the transaction status has changed to "sent" instead of "pending" the EUR amount has not changed anymore.
Does anyone have similar experience?

There is none in my country as well.
I have used the xapo card in normal everyday shops, restaurant, chains, etc.
They just checked that the card is VISA and that was all.
I can use it like a normal bank card, the normal payment is arranged between the shop (gas station, restaurant, etc) and VISA, the bitcoin part is arranged between VISA and XAPO meanwhile.
1940  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Have you tried XAPO debit card? on: September 30, 2015, 08:54:55 PM
I have tried that but without success.
I have managed to check the prices on coindesk, but in the xapo wallet you can't find the price for selling bitcoin.
Xapo FAQ says:
"
Can I sell my bitcoins through Xapo?
We currently do not have this functionality. In order to spend the bitcoins in your Xapo Wallet we recommend signing up for the Xapo Debit Card.
"
So it seems you can buy bitcoins with xapo but then you should transfer them or spend them with the debit card.
