Can some one please explain me what is the hardfork and if is good or not to Bitcoin, and what will happened next week?
I'm also trying to wrap my head around it since I don't understand the technical details but basically we would end up with two different bitcoins. I'm not familiar with the blockchain but I suppose it would also split. The only worry I have is that this would also split miners which might affect how much the two bitcoin's transactions would be handled. There seem to be no clear time frame for the fork. It appears they're still trying to get more support. Last week it seemed that there will be no fork at all, because of the replay attack problem in BU. I don't know if it has been resolved or not, but the news was about that BU supporter nodes has decreased. Exchanges said that they'll treat BU coin as an alt. These things don't help BU and the fork. If you want to be on the safe side, move your coins from exchanges and from web wallets to a kind of wallet that let's you handle you your private key (or buy a hw wallet). This is only precaution. You won't know when the fork happens, if it will happen anytime. So nobody will tell to you when will be safe to transfer back your coins from the safe storage... |

If you just want to buy and sell bitcoin and use it offline (shops, etc) and don't want to use it online, it can be done anonymously, but it's really hard, and there are only a few merchants who accept bitcoin yet. If you want to buy something online, you need to ship it to you, and in this case, your ID will be connectable with your wallet. Or, you can ship it to a friends' place, but that is also not convinient.

Your system will have a central ledger and you only use the blockchain if you need to transfer outside your system? Or, every member will have their own wallet and you transfer the amounts to and from those wallets? Will you sign contracts with the members about the lendings and borrowings? How do you plan to handle the legal background? If someone fails to repay, will it be enforceable somehow? (just to protect the other members) |

I guess there will a dump and most likely BTU will fail if a hardfork happens. Well let's just wait and see.
It's OK to wait and see, but the problem is that the date and time of the fork is not known. I'm searching the forum for weeks now, but I haven't found any particular thread about the timing of the fork. I can have a look at nodes and can compare the charts of BU, Core, etc supporter nodes. but that say nothing about fork and timing. As I understood, it's not neccessary to do any communication before the fork, because it's just a software update on nodes. So it's possible that you will have only information that the fork has happened (but in that case all the bitcoin news sites will list it immediately) |

A kéthetes időszak az, ami most 2 Neked és ez növekszik majd 3-ra 28-án. Ezt számolja a rendszer, mindig figyeli, hogy hány kéthetes periódusban volt legalább 1 post. Ez most a 2, ez lesz 3 márc. 28-án, mert március 14 óta is volt már új post-od. De ez csak egy elméleti maximumát jelöli ki az activity-nek (amit úgy kell kiszámolni, hogy az aktív kéthetes periódusok számát, ami majd 3 lesz, meg kell szorozni 14-el), ez lesz 42. (és nem keverendő össze a Douglas Adams-es 42-vel, mert az a válasz az életre, a világmindenségre, meg mindenre ) Ez lehet az activity-d elméleti maxiuma a periódusváltás időpontjára. Az activity képlete: ((aktív periódus * 14) vagy (post-ok száma)) a kettő közül a kisebb érték Ha március 28-ig lesz 42 post-od, akkor 42-re változik majd 28-ról az activity-d (ha lesz 1000 post, akkor is csak 42 lesz az activity) Ha nem lesz meg, csak mondjuk 40, akkor 40 lesz az activity-d, majd ha még post-olsz 2-t, eléred a 42-t, ott megint megáll a két hetes időszak végéig. Nem csak az a lényeg, hogy post-okat gyárts, ha signature campaign-ban szeretnél részt venni, hanem hogy normális minőségű postok legyenek, különben be sem vesznak a kampányokba. people are indeed trying to scam with all this story about the hard fork, BU have no consensus and only 10% more than segwit why people still believe it will happen? People are just people (me too). If I'm not an expert (really expert) I usually belive what I read if the source is trustable (or seems trustable). If I see a new coin or token on an exchange, I belive it's real and working... I just started to read about the hard fork, BU and segwit for a week or two now, but now I search for the news every day, but it's really hard to decide if I can trust the news or not... |

Credit card have become a usual thing nowadays and most people are already using it. Even commoners or people that live in a not-so-developed place, they know the use of credit card and debit cards since it's not that hard to understand. Let's say that mass adoption has happened. The average joe will eventually adopt to that but there will always be those that don't really want to accept change. It will take generations before the new currency totally takes over and that's when the new currency has become the normal thing to the world. There was an closed test of NFC payment system in my country, and after the successfull test, 2 mobile service providers and 1 bank has launched the public NFC payment system. You had to have an NFC compatible phone, a compatible SIM card and the bank has loaded the virtual debit card to that SIM card, so you could used your phone as a PayPass debit card. Only a few thousands of people used the system in a 2-3 years time, so both parties decided to stop the whole thing. Technology is available, it was working fine, but the demand for this kind of fintech innovation was not enough to get it profitable on the long run... People needs more time for these kind of changes. |

Looks like Trezor has a contingency plan to add a BU back end if a fork happens and users will be able to transact either BTC or BTU from wallet.trezor.io Seems that it will be a only plan for a while... In the last days there were news about the failure of the BU, because of the replay problem. Meanwhile, Trezor had a long outage in shipments (because their stocks has depleted) from the beginning of February till now (nearly 2 months). Most of the people, who wanted a hw wallet immediately, bought ledger, so trezor needs to start to marketing heavily to regain it's position. Olvastam, hogy lehet meg signature kampanyokat is futtatni. Erre milyen szabalyok vannak? Reff link is mehet bele? Milyen dijazast lehet kerni, illetve hogyan? Koszi. Legutóbb 2017. március 14-én ugrott kategóriát, aki eléri a szintet, aznap regisztráltál, lehet, hogy pont előtte pár perccel. Utána mindig 14 nap múlva ugrik. Azt vizsgálja, hogy hány post-od van, adott időszakban. Alapból 14 activity-vel indulsz, ha van legalább 1 post-od. Utána azt figyeli a rendszer, hogy az adott 14 napos időszakban volt-e post-od és mennyi. A képlet: azon 14 napos időszakok száma, amikor volt post-od (most Neked épp 2, mert márc. 14-én még az ugrás előtt regisztrálhattál), ezt kell szorozni 14-el. Eredmény: 28. Ezt hasonlítja az aktuális post count-hoz, ha a post count eléri az előbb számolt activity számot, akkor megadja az activity-t, ha nem, akkor marad az előző időszaki activity. Neked most március 28 kedd-ig (mindig kedden vált kéthetente) kell összeszedned 42 post-ot, akkor ugrik majd az activity-d. De hiába lapátolsz össze két hét alatt 1000 post-ot, nem ugrik nagyobbat az activity, csak 14-et. Signature campaign-ról majd később írok. |

The countdown for paper money extinction is on. The foundation of this monetary policy is flawed and have to be fundamentally changed. Bitcoin offers good option though
i do not think that there is any countdown to paper money. paper is will exist for next few decades, actually majority of people are still depending on fiat currency because they still do not know anything about bitcoin so i cay say that for next few decades there is nothing wrong to fiat currency. may be in future when bitcoin will become more popular then people refuse using bitcoin. Yes, I am sure that people will not be able to live without paper money for at least another 50 years. Therefore, I am confident that the future has paper money. Not only in 50 years, I guess it will be forever because paper money will stay forever. The world is moving and people country moves as well but we cannot deny the fact that there are countries who are are really poor which a big population is still under poverty. In that situation, most of the population are not into technology and development because they are more concern on the food and shelter. Those poor countries are usually lack of electricity for 3-4 days a week, so they cannot depend on a payment method that requires electric power and network coverage (or internet connection). They can and will use bitcoin also, but just for little part of their daily transactions, or just for savings (if any). In the urbanized part of the world (where if you don't have electricity for 10-20 minutes can be called a disaster situation) using bitcoin or virtual currencies will be widespread, but because of the above mentioned things, paper money will allwas have it's function, so it will be needed. |
