81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: November 25, 2021, 08:16:48 PM
Bitcoin has made good progress today compared to last three days today Bitcoin almost touched $60k ($59,390) as a result we have seen decent progress in other altcoins as well. Either this is a breakout point wherein bitcoin will proceed towards new ATH or a bull trap but I don't think it would be a bull trap as market just went through correction phase. What's your opinion on bitcoin at the moment?
It might just be setting the momentum for December. Historically, December has always been a time where the markets were in green, of course now it's a little different since adoption went the way since same time last year but these patterns tend to repeat themselves.

Let's see how it plays out, hopefully reaching that new ATH and BTC closing in on that 100K. It is not all that crazy Cheesy could easily happen

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great coins to invest in? on: November 24, 2021, 09:48:44 PM
If you are looking for a low cap project, you should search for gameFi and metaverse.
These are not so much the safe haven, with so many project throwing the words 'gaming PvP, PvE' and 'Metaverse' around DYOR still applies of course. One must also be mindful of the overall market sentiment, and use that as factor in the decision making process.

Not insinuating anything but it is generally good to be aware of all that's happening before putting down your life savings on a Metaverse game will have its MVP two years in the future.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: November 24, 2021, 07:53:05 PM
It is a proof that fiat based poker site is still popular compared to crypto poker sites.

The same we can say about any type of crypto activity compared to offline counterpart. Maybe except drug selling  Grin

I have no idea why the traffic of crypto poker sites is not able to increase or at least compete with fiat poker site.

Traffic could increase, but there is no such poker crypto sites. And this is weird. There a lot of slots and dice plus crypto books, but there is no good poker lounge.
ChipStars is a nice place for poker, rather relaxing.

Their payout as far as I tried and know of is on time and never had any issues. At the beginning they used to advertise for free where people could join the rooms for free and get the reward, it might have changed slightly now but still something to check out for sure Wink
85  Economy / Gambling / Re: Asianconnect88 - premiere sports betting brokerage (official Thread) on: November 24, 2021, 06:35:00 PM
The concept of this Asianconnect88 online casino shows good potential to be known in Asia. However, I agree that there should a more comprehensive website with all necessary information.
KYC procedures should also be cleared to the future players as I can see that many here in the forum are concerned about this.
Agreed, the potential for a wide market reach is there for sure.

Now it's up to the casino to ensure they are up to standards on all fronts, and considering how local governments want to crack down on regulation having the KYC details in black + white will certainly help beyond the trust building phase.
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Passive vs seasonal trading on: November 24, 2021, 03:44:18 PM
Lately trading have become a such of livelihood for some traders as some have turned to cryptocurrency trading to meet they daily needs and pay their bills, but have been wondering which is more profitable and less stressful since trading is base on quality decision. Should one trade passively or just trade once in a while for both emotional and physical well being.
Trading isn't for everyone - and that's a fact. Whether somebody is able to deal with the market volatility and make a good, profitable living out of trading is up to the individual. There are plenty who do btw.

At the same time, not everyone has the same abilities, and so there are others that take trading more lightly but that's fine too. I think this is all a personal choice and everyone uses the tools at their disposal how they see fit. Nothing wrong with that, and also nothing wrong with asking but it will be wrong to impose something on others.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Tax holding back bitcoin from going to the Moon on: November 24, 2021, 12:51:27 PM
Lets the math, what is the possibility of the whales and all parties that are affected by the capital gains which will attract this tax in having a hand to control(manipulate) price just so they stay below the tax threshold and buy time to take out their profits?
The possibility of whale manipulating the market just so that they don't go above their tax threshold is something I don't buy. From my view, with this argument business owners will never grow their business to stay under the tax bracket, investors will never maximise their investing potential and so on.

There are always ways to reduce these burdens, it is not a matter of keeping something low level on the contrary...
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India plans law that will prohibit ‘all private cryptocurrencies’ on: November 23, 2021, 10:27:25 PM
Keyword, ladies and gents: "plans"
Exactly, many are capable of planning things but only very few actually execute their plans.

India planning to prohibit all cryptos is something that will cause great torment to the country and because India is not oppressing people, this action will inevitably end worse than the China FUD/Ban. Though we can be understanding why the Indian government would think of such an approach - obviously to pave the way to its own governmentally governed digital currency.

For now these might just be speculations and this is what this response has been based on.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop lose trading feature on: November 23, 2021, 08:44:01 PM
It is undeniable that the value of cryptocurrencies is highly unstable. You have no way of thinking that what the price will be. As a result the newbies frequently utilize stop losses. It is a tool that a person uses to overcome the risk of losing money in trading. However. how the user uses this tool is entirely up to him. This tool has the potential to be good but  it has also the potential to be dangerous.
As you say, the stop-loss function can act in both ways, and it is up to each user to ensure they utilise it to maximise their position. It is not that the tool itself is not a good thing, by all means it is great in keeping your assets safe and your mind at peace, and so as with most things in trading or otherwise it is about its use. Many traders I know take advantage of this feature, and I too agree it shouldn't be overlooked.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and usdt exchange on: November 23, 2021, 04:01:28 PM
I live in singaporr and i use huobi global to buy usdt and sell bitcoin, but the exchange is closing all singaporean accounts by 31 march 2022, does anyone know which other exchange sells usdt and buys bitcoin in large quantity like usd 500,000

I guess every well-known exchange can accept a $500k deposit and be tradeable. The only thing is that in order to trade such amounts, you will probably need to pass more than their "simple" KYC verification. In any case, create an account in another exchange, pass their (mandatory now) KYC procedure, and talk with their support about their volumes/ tiers/ levels.
Before you do this, make sure that they accept people from your country/ region...
That's all good advice and if I may add, whichever platform you end up in make sure you spread your buy/sell order. This is very important to avoid large market moves. Either way, there isn't a way out of KYC which is a shame but can always shop around and even split across multiple platforms if can fall under the KYC bracket? Idk - just a thought
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 23, 2021, 09:30:20 AM
Hold is a suggestion for us to get bigger profits, the opportunity for bitcoin to rise is very clear especially at the end of the year like now, if we sell then we will regret it because the next day's price is very expensive, there have been many stories of people regretting being in a hurry to sell bitcoin and not patiently waiting so you have to start investing bitcoin at an expensive price, hold is an option, if you can't wait then sell it immediately.
HODL is for people who believe that by holding they are better off than selling. It is for those believers that can take a few dumps without panicking, and stay firm. It is also for those who bought so low that sudden dumps don't affect them anymore.

HODLing is also for those that were not early adopters but believe in its future and despite the contrary still hold. This is only made easier if these people don't need that money and can go by without it. And Bitcoin can be sold if one sees the right opportunity.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin logo on: November 22, 2021, 09:20:57 PM
The current BTC logo is already widespread and famous enough that most people will already know that it's Bitcoin's logo when they see that orange circle with the BTC. Changing it right now would most definitely just do damage on Bitcoin's logo. It's not like the orange circle logo is outdated or anything, it's actually timeless as it's pretty simple and straight-to-the-point.
And what's the point of a logo? Ahh, that's right - to become known and widespread and so far I'd say that the current logo worked just fine. There is really not a need to change it. Some things are timeless and don't need upgrades to appeal to more people, that's Bitcoin. People just know what that means anywayBTC
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 22, 2021, 06:26:10 PM
This will never happen to Bitcoin and governments won't waste time mining and taking control over Bitcoin that is 90% mined already,
they can just create their own centralized digital junk currencies with infinite supply and with shutdown button for anyone who is not obedient.
Look what is happening in the world now and you will see that is the way they are going.
Yup, exactly. These reasons alone are sufficient to argue that centralization is not going to work. It will not work and it is because of exactly this that the cryptocurrency that drives away from centralization was born.

With such a large market demand and already setting off as a decentralized example, Bitcoin will never be controlled in a centralized manner no matter what governments try.
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 22, 2021, 03:58:59 PM
I'm not going to miss this match, there are so many delays on this match and I'm sure it's worth it after these delays, Lopez has many plans in the future and so is Kambosos both fighters are with great potential this has the making of a great fight and if the match is close there could be rematch it's only 6 days to go, let's see if this will become a fight of the year candidate.

We have witnessed some good fights this year already, so let's hope this fight will not disappoint us. In order for this fight to be a candidate of the fight of the year, it has to be competitive, and it would be nicer if the fans will be surprised that the underdog will upset the favorite which is Lopez.
We are so close to seeing this fight Grin

Super excited to watch the intensity of the game. The odds order books will shortly be getting ready, and would be ready to place my bets for sure. Lopez almost has this - that's my prediction, yes the fight will be a strong one, but still Lopez has that experience that will blow Kambosos, or will he?
95  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and it uncertainties on: November 22, 2021, 03:44:13 PM
This thread is primarily directed to discuss how traders manage trading uncertainties how do you manage to decide on your trading in a volatile market such as cryptocurrency where price can change within some seconds.
Your questions goes beyond a dedicated thread!!! Crypto trading is and has been in full swing for years.

How do you manage the volatility? You pay attention to the markets, and you adjust and devise your strategies accordingly. To top it all up with the same layer of obscurity (because is something each trader learns for themselves and in their own time) it is all determined by experience with the lows and highs that it comes.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin City Rising in El Salvador on: November 22, 2021, 01:45:58 PM
All eyes on Salvador right now. Things have escalated rather quickly in the country under the leadership of Nayib Bukele. Just a few years ago it was only just a small community who adopted Bitcoin and then it quickly went national with the declaration of Bitcoin as a legal tender. From then on, there were many things that happened. There was the Bitcoin mining development using volcanic energy, the purchasing of Bitcoin, and now the development of a Bitcoin City.

The success or failure of this big experiment will affect the decision of other countries.
Yes, I agree with you. El Salvador is really pushing for Bitcoin and I find that as a good thing. The country is embracing the opportunities of crypto and manly that of Bitcoin like not any other country, and whether this is the beginning of a new record for them in turning the city into a Bitcoin City for is something to see, but what I'd fine even more pressing is seeing how all other countries react to these developments.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice regarding buying on: November 22, 2021, 12:50:18 PM
From my believe I think Bitcoin is still very cheap of you are holding for long term, if you are holding for long term you don't have to be scared of buying bitcon you don't have to be scared of drop in price that's happening currently just buy and hold but if you are short trader you have to study the chart carefully.

Well it is cheap from the point of view that it has not yet reached $ 100k, but if we take into account that BTC can have a very strong correction, the statement can be counterproductive, if I buy BTC at $ 62k and then it falls to about $ 30k or even more (could happen) would be losing a lot of money, and as the market has a lot of volatility it is very likely to happen, it is very difficult to predict a movement, however many are waiting for the bullish movement, but you have to be careful because the market sometimes it does the opposite of what the masses think.

Well, the above is true. While many expect the trajectory line to be similar to most of the prediction of Bitcoin reaching 100K there is also the fact that the market can move in the opposite direction by the same degree. It is not that's likely but the possibility should never be countered.

At the same time, for those who believe Bitcoin will reach greater/higher milestones can think that now they can buy Bitcoin at a discount. So in the end os about the long term vision of the investor
98  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: November 19, 2021, 11:29:46 PM
Now that the price of bitcoin is about to decrease to $30 it will be better you sell now that the price is still $59k to enable you prepare more for the future.
Decreased to $30?

Anyone who don't have a long term vision to bitcoin would be thinking about selling as it won't recover anymore.

If you sell your coins right now, you have no regret about such decision than to be part of those investors that will be thanking God for the great opportunity.
That's if you're needing the money and use it for some meaningful things. But what if you've sold and you say that you're in profit and lately, you kept the money while watching bitcoin recovers back to its former price.
Selling Bitcoin now is not the best move. This is because you're likely to be gaining 50$ profit now, at the risk of losing >$100 profit as the price recovers, and even more of that profit loss in the long-term.

BTC has been bouncing back several times, and it's normal and necessary to be doing that before it shows a strong uptrend. With the season as it is now the likelihood that the market will turn green again is (in my view) high. Having said that, the long-term hold is definitely the best option where we're talking years not weeks from now.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They are starting to get really worried! on: November 19, 2021, 04:24:40 PM
Quote from: Blawpaw

Apparently, Hillary and her "friends" are getting worried about Bitcoin's disruptive potential.
In my view, Hillary and her friends are being rationale and don't hide away from reality. Crypto will rise to replace the economy we know today. It is but a matter of time.

People will realise this is the future as soon as they're being asked if they'd rather keep their fiat in a bank account as opposed to in a DeFi smart contract protocol and compare the APY from both options
100  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: November 19, 2021, 02:40:54 PM
After becoming undisputed champion at super middleweight Canelo is now prepared for his next challenge. He will be moving up two weight classes to face WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu. This opponent is not very well known but he has a high knockout percentage with 25 KOs in 28 victories and he has not had a loss in over 5 years. It will be an impressive feat if Canelo can become champion at cruiserweight after starting his career fighting in the jr. welterweight division.

The upgrade in weight class will surely make it difficult for Canelo to compete at the home level of Ilunga. But then this guy seems to be pushing himself, he is a beast within his own devision but I don't know if this will be enough to go against Illunga who's fighting in his comfort zone.

The fight will sure be interesting to watch and although I side with Canelo (knowing him and his fighting style) but if the tables turn I wouldn't be that surprised.
