381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be more effective in the future on: September 02, 2021, 07:37:10 PM
Of course. I also believe that Bitcoin will be at a much higher level than this. Bitcoin adoption is going on really good. More people get to know Bitcoin as time goes on and it leaves a positive effect on the adoption. And this helps Bitcoin's future to be brighter than before. As Bitcoin continues to gain strength, there will be more governments to accept or make it legal tender in the future.

Now, i can say that even through the test of time, bitcoin is still standing straight and is even more effective.
Bitcoin dominance and interest from all over the world has never been so high. This is to say that most people have their eyes on BTC and for good reasons too. BTC is becoming the new store of value asset, and with almost all industries making changes to enable crypto payments is saying to the rest of the world that we are getting closer to a digital payment system, and that BTC will not be falling short from the center of this revolution.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto P2P Scam on: September 02, 2021, 09:44:01 AM
I read a story, on this very forum, of a Pakistani Guy, who was picked up by authorities for trading in crypto. I also had gone through such a time where i almost landed in trouble. So let me share my story so that you guys can avoid such mistakes.

Note: Pakistan, don't allows banks to do crypto related transactions, so its P2P.

It was around August 2020, i posted buying/selling ads on a few trading exchanges. And in that i also posted my contact Number(mistake 1). A person(probably Nigerian) contacted me from an international number using watsapp on my cell and asked me that he wanted to trade with me and that he has some kind of business, and that his team would send me payments and i would have to pay him in bitcoin/ethereum against that payments.
I without much investigation, agreed to work with him, as i was just considering my commissions. As it was decided 10%, which is quiet good for me so i didn't wanted to investigate his line of work.

People used to submit money in my account, and then sent him the receipts, he then watsapp me those receipts and i believing that as he has the receipt, that guy who has sent money actually works with him. So it was good for me.

Soon, i start getting payments in PKR rupees from all over Pakistan, and i kept sending bitcoin to this guy. But i got suspicious and started to worry as i wasn't much aware of his busines but kept doing it for around 2 weeks.

But will all this, i discussed it with my brother, and he told me to stop doing this Bitcoin stuff as he is not much aware of it and also not interested.

Anyway, i told this guy that i dont want to work, and i asked him about his business and some other details.. Things starting heating up between us.
The next day, i got a call from a person, and he said that he is going to FIA as he sent money in my account(which he had) and that my other partner who had a deal to send IPHONES to him against the payment(that he sent in my account) is now not receiving his calls and not responding. He said that me and that guy are a scam and we both have done fraud and that he is going to take me to courts. I talked to Nigerian guy and asked him to send me the Bitcoin back so that i can refund that guy and avoid going behind the bars but he replied that its ur and his matter. Do whatever you want..

What actually happened was, This Nigerian guy, was doing online scams, making people believe that he'll send cheap products. So people when talked to him, he gave them the banking accounts of their local countries, of people like me. through which, he got the payments and never sent any thing to the people he promised. And it was between me and the people who sent payments to my accounts to deal with each other.

The victims were,
1. the people who by greed believed in him as the products he showcased were pretty cheap. And
2. Crypto traders like me, who by greed and better trading profits, didn't investigated much. and started paying him for the money received from third person.

Suggestion: Don't do trade for 3rd person. Only send bitcoin to the person who send you payment in your account.
What a scammy scheme to say the least.

Thanks for sharing the story - quite scary, I'm positive it will help others avoid similar traps.

There were a few points that you could have become suspicious about but maybe didn't think it at the time, right?
1. Guy did not explain what his business was - your mistake for not asking about it
2. You was getting fiat which is traceable while sending him BTC equivalent (non-traceable)

Without the details, these two alone is a big no no - so regardless of the circumstance if the two, especially the second point is part of your collaboration/business than don't go that path.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 sites for cryptocurrency lovers on: September 01, 2021, 10:13:43 PM
Top sites that I use for cryptocurrencies are
  • Bitcointalk.org
  • CoinMarketCap
  • Cointelegraph

I like these options and certainly are the ones many of us use on hourly basis even. But I'd also like to add Coingecko - yes, it may not show news per se but it gives you quick and real time market view of coins you happen to read about, or want to check price, contract etc

I typically, would consider coinmarketcap as trustworthy, though with this forum you need to be carful because sometimes there are people who like to spread FUD. These are usually pointed out but you only get to learn that if you scroll through sometimes various comments.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 01, 2021, 07:26:38 PM
Every day the market gives us the opportunity to make a profit, so we do not need to dwell on our past failures.
Exactly!!!

Opportunities are there and if you fail once better start again by learning from what went wrong the first time.

There's no point feeling down about something that 'could' have happened/had just get on with it and next time give the trade more thought.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 01, 2021, 04:05:19 PM
We all keep listening reading every where hold bitcoin as it will keep growing in future as well.

But my question is how much maximum a bitcoin can worth and when ??
What is its max potential and when its price would stop increasing??

I know nothing can be predicted but I just want to hear your views about it.
Sure, the question is intriguing and many are having similar questions either out-loud or internally.

To be fair, you're right nobody can really tell but my view is to HODL until the next halving event and reassess then. So far, history proved the market to be bullish around the halving event so for this reason my thinking is taken in yearly quarters. If that makes sense?

I believe BTC will deliver again, so for now I'm going with this core principle. BTW this comment is almost BTC exclusively
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble to make money or for FUN? on: September 01, 2021, 01:11:33 PM
What started off as fun a long time ago, and playing with friends sort of transposed itself into more of a side thing where now is more about the gains rather than pure fun. I still do it for pure fun but more rare now, as the idea is to get monetary value out of my time when playing online.

I suppose, in a society where everything is valued and comes down to monetary incentive it is no surprise that most of us are only enjoying the gaming experience more from a money stand point...
387  Economy / Gambling / Re: NASCRASH - Grand Opening 50 μŁ Signup Bonus no deposit required on: September 01, 2021, 09:43:34 AM
In time, they can gain loyal players here if they will keep up with improving their site and listen to what people here suggest. Some suggestions are actually good for the site to further attract players and start trusting them.
Definitely, they will be able to keep some patrons even especially if they make a really good service and a satisfying customer care which is neglected nowadays by many sites. I might try them some time, there's some bonus hopefully.

That's how everything gained interest. If the site owners know how to deal well with the gamblers and they are not stopping to find the right advertisement and promotions, eventually they'll get patrons that will help them bring clients to play inside their house.
Treating your clients with respect and honesty can only benefit the business in the long-run. Back in the day, most businesses used to rely purely on word-of-mouth and the power of this method is still viable.

If you do a good job, do what you say you'll do then there's few points people will falter you on (there will always be a few complaining ones), as a new casino having this open and honest approach will be good in the long-term Wink
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and interest rates and defi yielding gains on: September 01, 2021, 06:51:40 AM
So not only is btc a good store of value u can earn interest on your bitcoin holdings. I'm holding btc and eth and gaining daily interest 3.8% apr on the exchange. Hotbit.io I am also doing defi farming on these holdings. So Additional gains about 9% apr.
Let's say I'm holding 500k usd of btc n eth I will earn about 17k$ interest a year.
There is risk involve at how exchanges can exit scam or hack exchanges.

But it is truly amazing to be gaining interest nowadays. When I first started 3 yrs ago there was none of this interest or defi farming.
I couldn't agree with you more on this.

Unlike, traditional investments where you can't get anything close to the APY you get in crypto is the main reason why some people (who understand finance) choose crypto over stock and shares, or just keeping money in cash.

This way of passive income earning is truly amazing!
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the “good” fees for buying crypto on Market ? on: September 01, 2021, 06:16:31 AM
What would be considered to be an acceptable fees to pay % commissions on p2p market?
I see some sellers place up to 20% interests… do really people pay that much?
Seems like some people are prepared to pay that much - not me though - why pay those ridiculous fees when there are options else where. Also, it depends on which exchanges are used, DEX or CEX.

I can see, that Binance has got the best deals… but what if One is located in country that is in Binance’s excluded list of regions? Are there any work arounds?
I agree, Binance does have the most competitive rates around. As for gaining access perhaps use a VPN. I didn't test this it myself so I'm not sure if it will work but worth a go.
390  Economy / Gambling / Re: Tothemoon.casino: List of Crypto Casino’s with Live MoonTravel/BTC Calc. 🚀🌕 on: August 31, 2021, 11:00:41 PM
Hi Everyone,🚀🌕

At our new website https://tothemoon.casino/ we listed 20 crypto casinos with their major features. We have separate listings for Bitcoin Casinos, Crash, Dice, Sports Betting and Free Spins. We hope to expand this list soon.

We also added an active calculator for moon travel which costs 1300+ BTC for now. Maybe there are people who are saving bitcoin for moon travel, like us!  Smiley 🚀🌕
This is an interesting site, and the list of casinos even more interesting. I wonder what parameters you used to include when deciding which casinos to add on your list?

I'm asking this as I can see a few casinos that support BTC fully that are not listed - sure you had to use a cut-off as you can't include all of them - but it will be nice to get an idea of what factors you use.

Anyway, I really like the trip to the Moon idea  Smiley
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Can XRP Achieve $5? on: August 31, 2021, 10:19:56 PM
That's a higher price and to see if XRP can achieve $5, possible it can buy maybe when bitcoin is more than $100k.

XRP reaching $5 will mean that the rest of the market will have to increase beyond the current $2 trillion market cap to something higher than $10 trillion. This is the likelihood of XRP reaching to such a price.

The reason for this is because while being a surprisingly popular coin, XRP is not even coming close to the utility provided by such top coins like ADA, BNB, ETH. And the story with SEC also doesn't help. So, currently, quite unlikely but possible in the distant future!
392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: August 31, 2021, 08:44:03 PM
I think children are entitled to have their childhood for as long as possible. The idea of trading to make a profit is something only adults with responsibility think about - let them be children while possible.

In my view, it depends on the interest of the child and their age, as well as their reason for learning such skill. For instance, rather than having them work as a morning-paper delivery you might want to say that there's a different way to make money etc.

It is important for them to understand the value of money as well as the process of making it, and only exposure and experience will equip them for what's to come in their adulthood.

In a nutshell, it all depends on the parental-child relationship, interest and age of the child.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: August 31, 2021, 01:06:29 PM
It depends on who you're speaking to. Each have their own pros and cons. Bitcoin can be better than fiat but it lacks the infrastructure to enable mass adoption and even after that's sorted we'd still have to worry about its limited supply.

Fiat is not an option considering how it has worked until now but it is what people use so adoption is there, infrastructure there it just misses the core function that BTC provides - transparency and immutability.

It really is a can of warms, none is yet perfect but we're leaning towards the next best alternative - and this may not be either of them BTC or fiat for some of the reasons above.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: August 30, 2021, 10:59:55 PM
Plant is going to get his god damn ass beat.

He's always talking smack on YouTube about how he's got a similar resume to Canelo, and that Canelo has never fought anybody like him lol.

Meanwhile, Canelo is out there destroying light heavyweights and embarrassing the UK's great hope against him (Saunders).

Can't wait to see Plant faceplant the canvas.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: August 30, 2021, 10:09:53 PM
When i flashbacks far 2013 and 2014, within that range far back i remember how people were castigating bitcoin as a means of extortion of money, and also a means of scamming peoples money, but today everyone is interested to invest in cryptocurrency and more especially in bitcoin, because from what i observed from little bitcoin seminar program i hosted in my geographical domain even a nursing mother that is approximately forty to forty eight (40-48) years is interested to invest with bitcoin and children in school is already knows what is bitcoin, so with this length of bitcoin awareness in my society i think BTC can stay till infinity.
I don't think BTC can stay till infinity (if I understand you correctly) but it will for sure mark an important part of our history and technological evolution.

BTC is where blockchain came from and it is fair to say that the technology itself will be adapted and adopted by many industries.

We can already see today how this is being used by medical, financial and marketing fields, to name a few.

It is only a matte of time until we see most things on chain.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am tired of IDOs on: August 30, 2021, 07:43:18 PM
My advice is that you better focus on a few platforms that you can really trust like BSCpad I think the platform is pretty good and use a BSC platform like pancakeswap besides you can buy tokens cheaply when IDO you can also stake the token because usually it will into pancakeswap.
There's some merit to going on platforms with the highest tier.

BSCPad (and a couple more) rather than a lottery system provide you with guaranteed allocation and obviously the higher the tier the more of the pool you get. That will eliminate launchpads with lottery systems which I agree with you are unfair, and why play that system when there are alternatives.
397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future vs Spot Trading on: August 30, 2021, 01:57:28 PM
What is better and which one would you guys prefer. I have been doing spot trading but i haven't made much money, so i was kind of making up my mind to jump in future trading but a lot of my friends are asking me not to as they think that i can loose big. So what you experienced traders prefer?
Interesting question.

But what I think is most interesting is why you have not made much money from spot-trading. Playing with more risk using future trading is not going to help you if what you lack is fundamental skills. What I recommend you do is go back and find the pattern that did not allow you to come out with the profit you wanted and start from there...
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Always pump after sold holdings. on: August 29, 2021, 10:32:04 PM
As the title says, does it happen with you as well? Or just it has been happening with me? Not most of the time, but every time it has been happening with me. Although I sold my holding in profits somehow after sold it start to pump more and more. It's not happening with altcoin only. It's happening also in the Bitcoin trade. I do not regret but it's somehow surprising to me. Either I don't have enough patience or I don't have enough experience.

Does it happen with you? Or just it's happening with me?
This have happened to me alot of times, I've missed out on a lot of profits due to this same issue, but right now, I've learnt from that experience and am never allowing such to happen to me again..

But how can we possibly prevent this from happening when we sure lack the power to actually tell what happens after selling?

1 is to set a realistic sell target price for yours self and discipline yourself not to sell below your set target price, even if it's taking like a year, 2 or 3 to hit, as long as you trust the project you invested in, keep holding

2 is ones your sell target is reached, see if the coin still have strength to go up more, if yes,, then keep holding, but if not, then sell and if possible, delete every thing about that coin and proceed to the next one.
As said above, there are many people who have felt at times that they sold right before a pump - we've all been there, but as discussed above the best we can do is learn from past mistakes and continue to improve.

Studying the past might make you realise where you went wrong, what you read wrong and help you build that confidence so that when you do sell you are content.

Let's face it, we can't always catch the top of every investment but it's the average that counts Wink
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Say Bitcoin is scam on: August 29, 2021, 08:35:50 PM
Let's just it is scam
How Long from Today we have left until Bitcoin will be done?
Let's say its scam we know today so how long we have time until it collpse?
Just humble speculation Let's play out the worse case scenario hope for the best prepare for the worse!
If bitcoin is scam this will not last for long like now, 11 years and still being supported?

698 billion market capitalization ? is this not enough to prove the legitimacy of coin?

Blockchain is the general trend. Just like the Internet ten years ago, it is a gold mine, but there are also many scams. This is a stage that the industry must go through. Therefore, identify scams and actively participate in the development of blockchain to obtain wealth through blockchain.
So this is not a Scam right?

Why is there even a need for such a post???

Makes no sense to speculate about something that we all on here know is not true. There are other theoretical, and more important things to ask about in this forum like what will happen to BTC in x amount of time, who is going to be the next big investors, why are people not believing in it, or what we can do as a community to help spread the crypto awareness...

Blackjack.fun

Wow, I'm definitely looking forward to this!

Been playing with small amounts at your site for a while now and love the atmosphere.

I actually don't mind the current selection of games, I think that the focus around blackjack is unique and brings a lot of niche players. But if you feel the need to expand outside of blackjack I guess it doesn't hurt - best of luck!

The plan is to keep the main focus on blackjack. In house unique Blackjack with low house edge. In house blackjack Tournaments, Freerolls, Sit and Go´s and all the other providers Live Blackjack and so on.
Given how pervasive the industry is doing one thing and doing well sometimes is all that matters, and seems that's what you're been getting good at. Just wondering if anybody on here stress-tested withdrawal limits/timeframe, and if we can get feedback on it?

Quote
Second focus is other games.
Good luck! Considering the current user-base coming up with ways for more entertainment should bring a positive sentiment around the casino, and help acquire new customers.
