281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency? on: September 30, 2021, 02:23:58 PM
For me Bitcoin is both an asset and currency. Bitcoin is a perfect example of digital asset like real estate or gold. Value goes up as time goes by. It is also fit to be called currency as you can encash it anytime or trade it for goods or services!
To me BTC acts as both a currency for a wide range of possible assets, and as a store for asset value. It is the best of both worlds  Grin

And considering the much attention BTC has been getting, with more retails money to go in, needless to say that I feel more optimistic than ever.

283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH adoption lately is high on: September 29, 2021, 10:12:25 PM
It seems like Ethereum will reach a new ATH the second time again, hours back I read news that whales are investing 500million dollars on ETH which is a good plan that they are preparing for PoS algorithm rewards, the adoption rate looks way higher than BTc or am I wrong?
It would be nice to see ETH really pumping, yes, the dominance has grown and the market has been on a rollercoaster.

BTC is still doing well relative to all the FUD that's been happening and it looks like we may soon be on an uptrend again, because while FUD is dropping here and there, there are also +ve news too. It's only a matter of time...
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to mine bitcoin using Volcanic energy on: September 29, 2021, 09:51:34 PM
Although mining and legislation on Bitcoin seem to me to be very good ideas, now it only remains for the price to take off for the people of El Salvador to get rid of their doubts.
Sure, mining and legislation are two different matters but the guys is getting through them both. The fact that he is looking at volcanic energy to power the mining of BTC is proof of that. I'm not sure how viable the idea actually is but it brings the positivity that this man has for his country and for BTC.

I suppose, all that's left is to wait patiently until the price soars...
285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Entering the trading market on: September 29, 2021, 05:23:50 PM
What is the best strategy to prepare oneself before entering the trading market?
Entering the market is not rocket science.

All you need is a sound knowledge of the markets, sound knowledge of how crypto works and most of all sound knowledge of common spam strategies which often involves giving money away to somebody.

Then need to start with an amount that you're happy to lose, and then use that to build experience. Once that's done and you see you can get profit you can get to the next level which typically involves moving more money.

But don't start any of this if you're one of those people who say they don't have time to learn.

286  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🍒 Yaybet.com - 🎰 Slots 🎩 Live Casino & more! |⚡️ Instant BTC/ETH/LTC Cashouts on: September 29, 2021, 04:14:33 PM
Most gambling are done from mobile phones these days... so I will suggest that you give a little bit more attention to the development of the mobile version (App) of this site.
Yes, due to more flexibility most gambling happens from mobiles. So the comment above is good feedback to include in future developlemts/updates

Also, I'm not sure where the casino has licence from but there are countries that I noticed don't have access to the the casino -  not a big deal - but helps to have your licence transparent.

As for the games, as long as you add in nice promos and bonuses you will not run short of users  Cheesy
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase to Allow US Users to Deposit Paychecks Directly in Crypto. on: September 29, 2021, 02:47:51 PM
The massive crypto exchange will enable its U.S. customers to deposit all or part of their paychecks in crypto or dollars without a fee.

VP of Product Max Branzburg quoted:

“Our goal is to enable everyone to get more out of their money with the power of crypto – from getting your paycheck in crypto, to generating yield on your assets, to spending your crypto and beyond – all from a single account.”

This is good news but it sort of amuses me to see how different countries take on a polar opposite approach on crypto.

China for instance is on the other side of the spectrum, and interestingly it is the only country with such a negative approach.

On the other hand, you have the US and European counties as well as Central America and Africa where you may see some negativity but still quite open-minded about crypto. Not even going to emphasise which country/ies are closer to the truth but hope that it is becoming obvious.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto dip today on: September 28, 2021, 08:52:05 PM
After the last events in the crypto industry like China banned cryptocurrencies, the market isn't in a good condition. Maybe the price didn't go down very seriously but I still have doubts about the possibility of it too. Or maybe we will see the prices getting stuck at the same levels for a long time period. We have been waiting for a golden cross also and if it happens, the market will most probably start going up at a fast pace.
These crashes will keep on happening all the time as long as there is no rally to keep it going up. This is how crypto reacts, we are talking about something that is bound to happen one way or another.
Exactly! The market is volatile and super reactive when it comes to FUD news, especially those China FUDs.

But history has shown that this is only temporary and that the market can't be suppressed for very long not when giants like Tweeter announce crypto backing. It looks to me that this is the start of the good news and this is only a temporary bump. We'll see but my optimism is running strong  Grin
289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: online course for trading on: September 28, 2021, 07:19:34 PM
What are the things to keep in mind when looking for an online course for trading?

Cost, content and transferability. There is no point being taught to do something if you can't try it yourself, and if it is not transparent enough fro you to do it.

Most importantly, try not to go for the paid ones first, get a feel of what's available first - you'll be surprised how much info is out there and for free. So do your research and be careful. Also, once you get some theory it is best to try it out yourself just to get a feel of it.
290  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to recover my account with my coins on: September 28, 2021, 02:08:48 PM
Honestly need help ,
I lost my phone bought a new phone recently
Installed trust wallet again
Since I had an account already I pressed recover account
I put in my recovery phrase my account was back but my bitcoin and bitcoin cash was no where to be found . anyone with help on what to do ?
After recovering the account, unless syncing doesn't happen automatically which by the sound of the issue it didn't happen you will need to add the tokens manually. Once you do this the respective amounts should show in your wallet.

This is be true only if you have any amount left though...

Still you can then check the addresses on the respective explorers to see if they ever got transferred out without you knowing.
291  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Crypto.Games ⭐ Biggest wagering contest...600.000$ ⭐ SOLANA added! ⭐ on: September 28, 2021, 09:27:44 AM
Since the decision to include Solana on here from the many requests received, people were eager to play and wager in their preferred crypto currency -

SOL - so much so that now there's a Jackpot up for grabs to be won as of today worth 20 SOL, and still accumulating.

To learn more about the Solana integration, read this article: https://beincrypto.com/cryptogames-becomes-the-forerunner-with-the-inclusion-of-solana/
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is solana? And can it run along Ethereum in long run? on: September 27, 2021, 09:31:55 PM
Solana cannot allow users to set up a node easily and neither can Cardano. So far, Solana's network has had two outages. Cardano still works well with the supernodes they create.

Apparently, the reason for Solana's recent outage for hours is that it's still running on it's test version - still not an excuse though.

To be fair, in my view both Cardano and Solana still have a long way to go to even come close to the activity performed on Ethereum. They are good alternatives but still in their early stages.

You can't say Cardano is ready when the upgrade for smart contract deployment has only just been launched. The proper stress test hasn't even began yet.

There's potential as much as there's work to do.
293  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: September 27, 2021, 09:25:29 PM
But for those who want to play anonymously, should read their kyc first as it seems submission of your kyc is mandatory here before withdrawal.

https://flush.com/kyc-policy

In this case, are they accepting deposit without KYC but they requires KYC upon withdrawal? If it is like this, it sounds bad for me as if KYC is mandatory then they should ask it before players make a deposit. So no one should be able to deposit if they do not complete the KYC first.

I think it's much better if they will ask KYC from the start or maybe have a warning, some people really don't read the T&C I know that it is their fault but some gambling sites take advantage to some users like those and probably won't be able to withdraw even their deposits.
Yes, I agree. Plus, having the KYC terms in such small print kinda make users feel cheated. Best to have this available and up front because it can be a real issue for some people.

Quote
Alternatively you can limit the withdrawal of the unverified users maybe $500 maximum overall withdrawal for unverified users and if their total withdrawal exceed that amount then they need to pass the KYC.
Sure, this method is used by many exchanges also. It is not to say that I particularly agree with the method but it is an option for sure. Now, it depends how necessary it is for the casino to implement such a restriction and if so then double checking the limits would be imperative!
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trader needs to be a full time trader to be successful? on: September 27, 2021, 05:14:16 PM
As the market is volatile and very technical, does it take full time to become successful in trading? or can some trade part time and still make real profit from the market?

Not necessarily. It’s gonna be a huge risk if you go full time in crypto trading. Most of us right here are just doing it part-time or occassionaly, depends on what kind of trader we are.
It is not a matter of being part/full time, it is all about the knowledge, skills and markets involved. Not everything suffers from massive volatility and in some cases it is the volatility that enables a good trader to enter low and sell high.

Sure, with more time one could increase their return if hits all of the above specs but you don't have to - it's all about what works for each individual.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elizabeth Warren claims on: September 27, 2021, 04:20:05 PM
She’s doing her job, she’s a government shill trying to protect the USD’s position as the world reserve currency.

She's on her own agenda which of course is not in favour of crypto. As most politicians, everyone will say whatever the majority wants to hear, it is what they're paid for.

There's almost no need to read into the words of politician (specially those that don't have the power to do anything) and regard all they say as FUD and nothing more.
296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legalization. In Ukraine and now Laos on: September 27, 2021, 11:24:33 AM
One by one & then they will all come. In 20 years any country refusing to adapt & adopt bitcoin will be left behind.
It’s only a matter of time, we must be patient.
In a way, I approve of the above. Crypto will be inevitable and for sure it is only a matter of time but before that comes we need to bring our focus to today and seeing all of these talks/promises it is great. But essentially we want to see it implemented, and not by Asian countries but also Europe as well as other continents.

For sure, Ukraine and Laos are a step up but more countries are needed for the wider adoption everyone is talking about. Though so far this is progress nonetheless.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worthy Airdrops on: September 26, 2021, 08:28:07 PM
No follow to tens of social links and other social media bs, didn't attach $ value, no sign up, no lucky winners, no referral shite, and oh, no KYC.

Yh, airdrops nowadays turned into a social spree with too many tweeter posts, telegram groups, discord etc, and in some cases after all this all you do is enlist for a lottery to the airdrop. Most of which are insignificant if even lucky enough to get it. To me most airdrops are a waste of time, with only very few holding true to what airdrops should be.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter to pay content creators in bitcoin on: September 26, 2021, 11:32:33 AM
this is good news for bitcoin. Social media giants like Twitter are starting to adopt bitcoin and implement it on their platforms.
Yes, Jack Dorsey is definitely taking a first approach to this and because of this it will make Tweeter the first social platform to embed with BTC payments via tipping. Content creators actually being rewarded right away- massive improvement and encouragement in the space.

This news is good for both parties as well as for the long term adoption of BTC. As such the +ve vibe around the whole crypto market should pick up again, following recovery from the China FUD.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype-Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be? on: September 25, 2021, 12:54:01 AM
It sounds ridiculous, which is exactly its charm.
For what I know, crypto behaves in strange and bizarre ways. First it was the ICO hype. Then came the "De-Fi" hype. And now it's the NFT hype. Who knows what the next big thing in crypto will be?
No one knows. Just try to spread your assets on different fields and who knows that could be the next generation hype. Nft still resides on defi hype which can be use to a lot of use cases.
The best thing is to keep your mind and option open and adapt to the market trends. Nobody can know what the next big thing is but with a flexible mind it should be possible to enter the new craze.

In my view, NFTs is only the beginning, their opportunity can literally be limitless. At the end of the day, people are all about exclusivity, ownership and non-fungibility.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto declared illegal in China!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: September 25, 2021, 12:30:35 AM
China's market regulators and the Ministry of Public Security said cryptocurrency is "disrupting the economic and financial order, breeding illegal and criminal activities such as gambling, illegal fund-raising, fraud, pyramid schemes, and money laundering, and seriously endangering the safety of people's property."
To be fair illegalities and crimes existed before crypto existed and it will not stop. Yes, crypto might provide yet another avenue but it also brings so many more benefits.

China is taking a harsh approach to crypto and it is possible that all this FUD is calculated and preparing the population for their own version of digital currency - it makes sense because it eliminates all direct competitors available in crypto and it would be interesting to see what stance they take on then.
