101  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: up to 800GH/s on: March 19, 2014, 09:48:44 PM
Received a email from some scammers at echosign.com today claiming to be from hashfast. So not only do they not delivery anything or return emails but our personal info has been leaked.
102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 19, 2014, 09:40:10 PM
I had a batch 2 order. I emailed them a few times, no response. They have apparently let my email address fall into the hands of hackers. I received some email today from echosign.com that is clearly not legit, but claims to be some refund form for hashfast.
103  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: March 18, 2014, 02:09:26 AM
Has anyone else with a higher order than 2211 received their order yet or some notification that is even being dispatched?
this isn't a rhetorical question, i'm actually asking all members reading this if they can throw some light on this subject and let us know whats going on as hashfast is giving us nothing. we need to work together here.

They don't even return my emails.

How much energy was used to create this thread? Can we ever get it back?
105  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos is taking illegal ads from a ponzi scheme - MakeBtc.org on: March 15, 2014, 05:21:04 AM
Hard to believe the mods could be this foolish.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: campaign to get Amazon to accept Bitcoin on: March 14, 2014, 01:13:16 AM
Just make amazon orders through btczone.com for now.
107  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE - Underclocking Memory to 150MHz on a 6990 running Linux on: March 13, 2014, 05:33:51 AM
Not really related but I have a 6990 and a 6970 with ek waterblocks just collecting dust atm. I can't run them without tripping the breaker so if anyone is looking.
108  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mt.Gox Multi-plaintiff Suit on: March 12, 2014, 11:41:50 AM
I had 53k saved on gox. As a result of trying to transfer out what I could in btc, all I ended up with was 23goxcoins and $700goxdollars. I would like to join in with someone serious about taking action.
109  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: March 11, 2014, 08:49:51 AM
So I used putty to change the following line on my saturn.

L61   0x86,0x%02X,0x02,0x11

Then , esc, :wq, reboot.

Nothing ever happens though and the settings just revert back when it reboots.

I've been having a lot of trouble with unit in the browser, sometimes even incognito browser will not show the advanced tab, or the proper firmware version or let me upgrade the firmware. Could be related. I could be missing something though. This thread is nothing but a jumble with no clear directions.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Andreas Antonopolous raising funds for Dorian Nakamoto on: March 09, 2014, 02:58:39 AM
Nice work guys. That's a lot of free lunches.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Facts: Is Dorian the real Satoshi or Not? on: March 08, 2014, 01:46:28 PM

#4 theory: Satoshi is a a cyborg from the future.

This must be the right thing.  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

Locutus is my guess.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leah McGrath Goodman offers more details on conversation with Dorian S. Nakamoto on: March 08, 2014, 04:08:05 AM
Dorian may have been unfamiliar with the term "bitcoin" but assumed that the reporter was using it as a reference to some other classified work.

Who says Bitcoin wasn't some classified project at one point in time and that he did indeed work on it, hence he couldn't speak about it?

~BCX~

Alternatively it is possible he misheard he. She said Bitcoin and he heard _______ (the name of a project he worked on that was under NDA).  The guy is 68, had a stroke recently and English isn't his first language.  In the video he did make references to "BitCom" even after the reported said Bitcoin.

There are several telecommunications companies named bitcom. He probably though some work he did could have been associated that. He was just trying not to say anything that could breach any past disclosure agreements.

She should have found a Satoshi with Alzheimer's and gone for a full confession on record.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **Breaking news** Satoshi Nakamotos identity revealed on: March 06, 2014, 11:15:10 PM
Whoever he is - I sure hope he'e encrypted and backed up his wallet.
I hope he has a backup identity and money for facial surgery... he lives in great threat now regardless if he is the real Satoshi or not.

No he doesn't this is ridiculous bullshit people saying this.

Does Bill Gates live in great threat?  How about Warren Buffet?

Dude's a billionaire so he can easily afford to move to a safe, gated community where no one will touch him.

You think you could break into Bill Gates house and torture the money out of him? I doubt he has piles of cash lying around. This guy on the other hand, is completely vulnerable to that kind of thing.

Looks like he lives in a nice suburb in California.  This isn't mexico dude.  You don't see entrepreneurs/celebritites getting kidnapped and tortured for their money.

Ridiculous bullshit saying he's in any sort of danger.

He's at risk for being mobbed by the media, supporters, groupies, but physical danger?  Nah, very unlikely.

No violent criminal is going to give a fuck about a geeky internet guy with a bunch of bitcoins.  Let alone try to kidnap and torture someone who is surrounded by cameras and witnesses.

Members of my family have been robbed by gunmen in the middle of the night in their home. That was just because someone thought there was a few thousand dollars in the house. What fairy tale land do you come from.

115  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: March 05, 2014, 11:12:26 PM
I just got mine today. It was getting only 1.3th, some of the temps were high 80c. I set it up outside to see if it would help. Now it's getting 1.6TH. Anyone know how low the temps need to be? Also, will a standard cpu cooler mount correctly on these?

117  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox class action lawsuit? on: February 25, 2014, 01:58:10 PM
the short answer?  no.

no one is successfully going to class action Gox.  Bitcoins aren't real.  What are they going to cry to the government about, a missing computer hash?

not to mention, the governments have been warning people not to buy it for a long time.  Bitcoins don't exist, they're not recognized as currency, so nothing was stolen when you bought "air" with your real money.

 Cool

I had 60k on there and transferred funds to btc to withdraw them. I got about 25% out and the rest ended up stuck in btc while the value dropped. They could not have planned it better for people like me. Now I don't have any amount of usd worth suing over. If you had enough btc tied up I would think legal action would be possible. It's still theft like anything else.

KNC is over
neptune never cover ROI
Yeah, everyone said that about Jupiter, and under worse diffchanges.
What if they give us 5Th/s hosted in mid April?
How can you even say that before knowing what the offer is?
There simply isn't enough information to make that determination IMHO.

Exactly... if you've been a KnCminer client previously this is the sentiment.
Not true.

Who else was shipping (major suppliers) in October last year?
None.

Who was building massive cloud hashing farms in October last year?
None.

How many companies are doing that right now?

We know there is a massive amount of hashing power going onto the network daily, so you have plenty information if you've done your research, to know things are going to be awful in April onwards. The situation is nothing like October last year.

There's no convincing some people. When you look at cex.io and ebay prices it's hard to believe they even use math to make these decisions. I don't see these as even coming close to making a ROI.

I upgraded to the new 1.00 firmware today and now my login is not working. I never changed it from the default login.
