One of the temps on my s3 is showing 248 which is keeping the fans at full speed. Otherwise it seems to be working. Anyone else have this problem?
What are you baking in there? It should shut off at 80C. Both of mine are no higher than 41C. Either the temperature gauge is way off or you've got thermal paste spread all over it like peanut butter.

It's still set to shut off at 80c, it never has though. Now it's reporting 1c for the temp and the fans are running slower then my other units.

one interesting tidbit...  My brother was able to sign into his Imac at home in maui from about 4000 miles away to access the Neppies web GUI through remote desktop.... using his iphone!  lol. He can flash firmware, reboot, all of it right from his iphone.

ya not that hard with teamviewer...i use the same thing Wink course i don't have a fancy neppy and really don't need it for the jups since they are highly stable...almost shockingly stable coming from knc :O

My jups are overclocked and it's 106 degrees in the room. They don't miss a beat.

65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talked someone into bitcoin only to bail because his bank saying its a scam on: July 09, 2014, 01:04:39 AM
I sold some bitcoin rigs and transferred the money to the bank. It took a several days to clear, then I still waited a month or so before going down to make a withdrawal. They refused to give me my money until they could further research it. They wouldn't disclose any specific time frame to release the funds, other then they could hold it a few days or even 6 months. Apparently when I left the bank they froze all my accounts without telling me. They also refused to give me any reason, even after I researched and found they had no legal right to put a hold my account. I spoke to several other bank mangers from other banks who said they didn't have any legal right to freeze accounts without evidence of fraud. I did a little digging and got the number for the regional manager, they unfroze my accounts shorty after. Screw Wells Fargo. They act like your asking for a hand out when you go to get your own damn money.

Can I get my refund now? I've been waiting 2 years already ffs.
67  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra Hardware Support **Unofficial on: July 04, 2014, 03:22:59 AM
My unit stopped mining and was not showing up on the LAN yesterday. Just the ctr1 showing red. I rebooted it and after running a few mins it did the same thing. Now, when I boot it up ctr1 shows orange-red for a few seconds then off. After about 5 minutes the light comes on and turns red. The unit never shows up on the LAN so I can't access it. I was able to access it a few times when it first started doing this, I tried re flashing the firmware. Didn't seem to make a difference. It's not really making a lot of sense to me that it's not showing up on the LAN. I would think reflashing the sd card would be a place to start but I don't see any image's for that.
68  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The war on drugs killed my daughter on: June 27, 2014, 09:38:04 PM
Ok, so you legalize, control % of purity, and they still take too much, because they can pay less, for a product, that are less pure, and they overdose, because they took too much in quantity {Who counts, when you stoned out of your head?}

People overdose on prescription drugs every day, they simply take more, than what was prescribed. {And they buy it on the black market, not from a pharmacy}

Or they mix it with other substances, that make it lethal, like alcohol.

No way to stop it, but to ban it, and stop people from killing themselves.

The idea is that you would at least know what your taking. If you kill yourself at that point it's your own fault. I don't know why some people think it's any of their business to tell others, what risks they can take. Almost all crime stems from this problem. Heroin addicts have to get it, there not interested in being criminals. They end up broke paying ridiculous prices.

70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GHash.IO is standing at 51% on: June 14, 2014, 01:29:28 PM
When will miners figure out they are losing profits by mining at Ghash. Seems pretty obvious it's effecting the btc price.
71  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What good things has Obama had since he is elected ? on: June 14, 2014, 01:20:45 PM
The fact that he basically ended our ability to purchase healthcare makes everything else pretty insignificant. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Many people don't seem to realize what we've actually lost because they don't purchase healthcare. I used to pay $215 a month and my visits and meds were all covered with $15 co pays. Now I pay $300 month for insurance and $1200 a month for visits and meds. I'm only 30, most people my age would be struggling with this. The only reason I'm not is because I'm a early btc investor.

So with the new healthcare, your either poor and get your healthcare for free or middle class and made to be poor. Now that premiums are way up and health insurance is only allowed to cover catastrophic events you would think it would at least do a good job of that. The reality is they hardly cover any more in those situations then past insurance plans. All the extra money is just going towards handouts for people who don't care about getting jobs and why should they. Who doesn't like handouts, I wish I could stay at home and play all day.

Giving credit for capturing Osama is ridiculous. All he did was approve the mission. How could he not?

More recently, he's empowered terrorists by doing open trades. He also removed the need for congress on these issues.

He also ended NASA. A socialist County does not need the kind of innovation and sights on the future that NASA brings to the table.

Obama's goal is to removed the middle class and get everyone relying on the government. I think he's actually made a pretty impressive amount of progress towards that goal.

His wife is a real god send too. “For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country …"

As in, now that Obama's socialist liberal pro muslim agenda is moving forward.

If you're mining with the 90mh unit on Ghash, do you need to set a difficulty?
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: We're not going anywhere, until the 51% question is answered on: June 11, 2014, 01:19:41 AM
The 51% question *is* answered for those who care to understand its true ramifications

can you link me or summarize what you're implying?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Weaknesses#Attacker_has_a_lot_of_computing_power

From the wiki:

"Since this attack doesn't permit all that much power over the network, it is expected that no one will attempt it. A profit-seeking person will always gain more by just following the rules, and even someone trying to destroy the system will probably find other attacks more attractive."

That assumes they are in control of their pool and not some third party.
74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 05, 2014, 03:00:11 AM
The noise complaints are numerous. So why doesn't Spondoolies address this issue and make an alternate version in a 2U rack size? I'm sure they would sell more units if they weren't so loud.

I thought my cointerra was obnoxious. Unless you have a room at the far end of your basement, this is not for you. I was really hoping to let it vent out the window. It's just to damn loud.
75  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 05, 2014, 02:39:37 AM
Hey, I've been unable to get 2 SP10 to hash at 1.4. The highest has always been 1.35. It is running off a 120V and turbo mode has been selected. I have not made any changes or messed around with voltage since I don't want to thermally seize the miner, since I'm remote to it, that would be a bad thing. Are there any SAFE settings I can try in advanced voltage settings to try and get it to 1.4 as advertised?

Thanks.

You're limited by your power.  At 120V, that PSU caps at 1100W.  1.35 is the best you're going to see.

I was looking into a DS1200 to solve the problem. It looks like it doesn't perform any better on a 120v if I'm reading the specs correctly.
76  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: June 01, 2014, 10:55:11 AM
Agreed DIY Kits are more for the RMA shipping problems because of the s2 design/architecture of unit.   Not necessarily for increased sales.

They are between the road of clearing out farms of s1 and reorganizing the chips on new boards.

s2 was an experiment in increased power efficiency with wattage, BUT needed more chips.

s3 should be new and better chip design.

I agree they probably have the new chips going into there S2's in the farm so there selling the guts of them to the community then once they use them all at the new 2TH speed for a while they will open up a board upgrade sale to the community for us to do a self upgrade of our units with a new board and or Power Supply as Bitmain had suggested in the next month or 2 but my gut tells me he has them now and is using them all in his farm

Try using sentences.

I ordered the LA90M on Sunday, still no tracking. I thought they were shipping straight away.

Do the LA75 and LA90M come with everything including the controller? Such little information on the website. I don't even see the proper speed posted for these units. 75 and 90 MH, I've seen no evidence of them reaching that speed.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calling all Bitcoiners: SPEAK OUT against CIRCLE! on: May 18, 2014, 12:10:36 AM
Circle is the exact OPPOSITE of what Bitcoin needs. Instead, people should be endorsing something like BitGo which offers multisig wallets, ensuring that not even the website owner can withdraw a user's cold storage funds.  Multi-sig is definitely the future of online wallets.

Which do you think is more trustworthy? A multi-sig wallet or a Bitcoin central bank like Circle which won't even provide the private keys to YOUR Bitcoin holdings?

If you don't know the answer, then you need to learn more about Bitcoin ...

I enjoy watching you squirm. This is exactly what bitcoin needs. No one is forcing you to use.

In this respect at least, he has higher morals than our leaders. The first amendment was intended to protect political speech, not filth. But like everything good, it has been twisted and perverted to let evil men do as they please.

It was intended to protect us from ignorant fools like you. Just move to North Korea if freedom doesn't suit you.
