181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name something you've actually BOUGHT with bitcoin on: December 03, 2013, 08:39:29 PM
I've purchased a lot of computer equipment from sites like btczone that let you shop off amazon. I haven't used it for a while though, I'm not sure who all is offering that service.
182  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL appears to actually be shipping Singles from stock on: December 03, 2013, 11:10:17 AM
I bought a couple of Singles during the Black Friday sale and they went "In Production" this morning and are now showing "Fulfilled" on my order page.  I haven't received a tracking number yet.  I hope this is for real and not some more shenanigans.

If true, this would make BFL the only current ASIC vendor instantly fulfilling new orders from stock.  Oh the irony!

My July jally has been fullfilled for over a week and in production for 2-3 weeks. You can't believe anything BF says. Wait until they actually do something.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / TC memory on: December 01, 2013, 09:45:29 AM
Does the TC memory buffer size come from ram or something else?
184  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open ***full prototype pics*** on: December 01, 2013, 09:23:19 AM
Mine ran for about 10 days before the m-board started failing. Only one slot that works on and off now. Hopefully I can get it replaced this week.
185  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA miner monitoring fanspeed RPC linux/win/osx/mip/arm/r-pi 3.8.4 on: December 01, 2013, 09:15:45 AM
Then again you always were a jerk.
Quoted for prosperity. Appreciated.

EDIT: I believe in bitcoin and I'm sorry but this is my thread for my software and I gave plenty of warning about GPU and scrypt being deprecated, and even helped and encouraged people to fork and take over the existing code. Amazing how quickly people turn to personal attacks when you don't support their cause (i.e. litecoin).

It's not hard to start a new thread. That's what everyone else does. Your assistance isn't needed to keep the thread going. Plenty of people still use cgminer for gpu mining. Not to mention the software still refers to this thread and is still downloaded from here. I don't really care if you think it's on topic or not.

My first rig runs r9 290's great with TC 30592. I have several other pc's which have the same cpu and ram and they just give memory buffer size errors. I tried lowering the TC and using 13 intensity but that gives HW errors. I'm not sure why the memory size is different on this one pc. Is there a solution for this?
GPU and scrypt mining is no longer supported by cgminer and offtopic on this thread.

It's still cgminer, so I would say that is on topic. What thread do you think I just downloaded it from. You should have renamed it and started a new thread. Then again you always were a jerk.
187  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL has Black Friday SALE!!! Be careful on: December 01, 2013, 07:30:05 AM
LIES!

My June order is not even shipped yet. They just marked everything as shipped. No tracking numbers. Just a lie to boost sales.
What was your order?  A Jalapeno or something bigger?  I just posted a pic of my 6/6 Jalapeno order hashing away yesterday, so you should get yours soon if it was a Jalapeno order.  No new blog last night... wonder if they took the weekend off for Thanksgiving.

Just a 6-28 jally. It's been marked as fulfilled for a week and in production a few weeks before that. I only ordered it because they were way ahead on Jally production. Soon as I ordered, the production line came to a crawl. Tried for a refund months ago.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Setting for R9 290 on: December 01, 2013, 06:47:33 AM
I'm getting 800/kh with TC 30592 and intensity 20 on one of my rigs. I've tried building near identical pc's to get the same result but with no luck. I just get memory buffer size errors with a TC that high. If I lower the TC and use intensity 13 it just puts out HW errors. What settings have you guys been using?

It's a miracle !!!

191  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's 'limted' supply lie on: November 29, 2013, 11:25:25 PM
Ok, tell me if I understand the question correctly paraphrased for fiat:

If I can buy a radio with a $20 bill and I go to the bank and break that $20 bill into twenty $1 bills, then can I buy 20 radios?

If I can buy a coke for $1 and go to the bank and turn that dollar into a hundred pennies, can I buy 100 cokes?

I think the OP wants you to explain how that's not correct. Have fun...
192  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [GUIDE] BitFury Miner Support/Tuning on: November 28, 2013, 08:25:10 PM
Mine worked great for about a week. The 4th slot on my unit has stopped working entirely and getting more then half the slots working at the same time is extremely difficult and very short lived. It doesn't take long before it's running at 150gh or turned off completely. Seems like a M-Board issue to me, anyone have the same problem?

Update: Now only the first 3 slots of bank 3 seem to work correctly. Bank 4 works sometimes.
193  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL has Black Friday SALE!!! Be careful on: November 27, 2013, 08:48:27 AM
This sale is a joke. They are just marking orders as shipped and not giving tracking numbers to push this sale. These guys have no ethical standards.  My June order has not even shipped yet.
194  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: KNCMiner Neptune 3TH miner $9,995 on: November 27, 2013, 12:31:09 AM
However, the power consumption is really a concern, only data center have that kind of capacity, special line have to be arranged for that rig in normal apartment, and the cable might catch fire if other electronic devices are also running

Did they say it's only one power supply? I would think it would just be two power supplies.
195  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: November 25, 2013, 02:47:13 AM
Wow, out of 45,000 units shipped, you managed to find... wait for it... 12 failures.

Now, I don't claim to be a math whiz or anything, but... I'm gonna say the failure rate is quite acceptable.

Lets be generous and say you found 1/100th of the actual failures, so that means there would be 1200 failures... a whopping... wait for it... 2.6% failure rate.

Holy hell batman!  Stop the presses!

The whole piss off customers to get attention tactic is past it's time. Find another line of work if you can't handle negative comments. Also, stop shipping units that are clearly under performing.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: November 21, 2013, 08:34:24 PM
I was getting 880 on the 290x. Then I added one of the normal 290's as second card and now I only get 800. Which is the same speed my 290 gets.

Do you have crossfire on? It may be limiting the X card to Non-X speeds to work better in games.

I don't see any difference between having crossfire on or off with my two 280x cards and 3.11 beta drivers.

I got the thread concurrency screwed up some how. Seems to be working now. I'm still hoping someone finds settings that get over 880 though. It should be possible.
197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Terrible Experience with Bets of Bitcoin / Bitbet on: November 21, 2013, 05:39:45 PM
There are way to many companies like this in Bitcoin. We need to stop supporting these crooked business practices if we want bitcoin to succeed.

You are roughly in the position of a Colorado bug on a potato plant discussing what "we" should be doing if "we" wish agriculture to succeed.

Shut the fuck up and get lost. You're not even part of Bitcoin in the first place. And the reason Bitcoin doth succeed has a way lot more to do with MP than you can begin to comprehend.

So basically, you don't even have a point to your argument. Another comparison that makes zero sense. According to you comparison, customer support is irreverent to business success.

You don't even have a clue who I am. You just presume as usual that you know everything. There's always a few people like you on the forum, self entitled know it all but lacking common sense. You may think your something special but your not. Why don't you stick to posting when you have something that makes sense. Every time I've seen you post anything, it's always swearing and spreading your crack pot ideas. Grow up, get out of your parents house and get a life.
198  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Terrible Experience with Bets of Bitcoin / Bitbet on: November 21, 2013, 02:43:59 PM
The service is GAMBLING.  GAMBLING is risky.

Keeping my 10 BTC is STEALING. STEALING is wrong.

Sending $9,000 to a random gambling site without reading the rules is stupid.  Blaming others is childish.

Stealing is going in the night while you sleep and breaking into a safe.

This is you gouging out your eyes and running into a casino and slapping down $9,000 on a roullete machine and then demanding your money back because you didn't know how it worked.

In your roullete comparison, he would be the guy who walked into the casino and handed the dealer $9000 dollars without reading the fine print. Then the dealer turns around and says. "Sorry, you don't get a turn the last spin was 5 mins ago. Tuff luck." If you think that's how normal business works. Your either a crook or delusional.

There are laws to protect customers from these types of scams. Businesses are not allowed to just take your money and not provide the item or service. They can write whatever they like in the rules, it doesn't change that.

There are way to many companies like this in Bitcoin. We need to stop supporting these crooked business practices if we want bitcoin to succeed.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at the US Senate on: November 21, 2013, 02:24:12 PM
That redhead was really annoying. I do think that someone could build a system on top of bitcoin that allowed people to register accounts and link them to there wallets That would open up a lot of possibilities for bitcoin and help with adoption. It needs to be done if we ever want to have a charge back option available for bitcoin transactions. Until it happens I don't see bitcoin gaining much traction with large companies. Paypal would be the perfect entity to do it but I doubt that will happen any time soon.
