261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: All Bitcoind / Bitcoin-qt nodes failing to come up. Workaround inside! on: September 15, 2013, 03:23:58 AM
I upgraded to 0.8.5 and tried to -checklevel=2 method. It's still asking to rebuild.
If your database is actually corrupted then thats an unrelated issue. Database corruption can happen for many reasons unrelated to this.

Shouldn't it only need to rebuild it once though? What do you suggest? Just delete the program and reinstall?

hydrosee  dont bother Sad

I think this experiment has gone far enough

After 3 weeks I am down over 10% on straight LTC mining ....there where times when the payout should have been more & nothing

Dont know exactly what game u are up to but I think I would prefer to know what I am mining and also what my payout is going to be....3 days above avergae payouts do not make up for the 10 days well below

if you are going to have a SECRET method the only verification that we have are the results and the results are not good at all

I am not really sure how you can claim this since LTC it down to 1 LTC = 2.38 USD and BTC is at $140 USD..

But if you can show me the math to prove what you are saying I might believe you then..

I'm not sure why you think exchange rates have anything to do with determining whether or not this pool is more profitable then a ltc pool.

Please return your seats and fasten your seat-belts.

All Bitcoin-qt / Bitcoind nodes will currently fail to come back up
after a restart, reporting

": *** coin database inconsistencies found"
and
"Do you want to rebuild the block database now?"

Reindexing _will not_ correct the problem.  In Bitcoin-qt you should
say no to this reindex prompt as it will not help for this problem and
will only waste your time.

To workaround:

Please specify the command-line or configuration file argument
-checklevel=2  to Bitcoind or Bitcoin-qt.

The issue appears to have been introduced by 0.8.0 and is only a local
issue, beyond the annoyance restarting nodes it appears to be harmless
and carries no forking risk but will take a software update to fix
completely.

This problem will persist until no more than 288 blocks after 256818,
unless another trigger transaction is added to the blockchain (which
may well happen).

More information will be forthcoming once a patch is available.

This fix is not working for me. I'm sure I did it correctly. This sucks.
265  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Long PCIE extenders on: September 14, 2013, 12:16:46 PM
Longer than what?  Huh

I got two 12" ones for £2 each off eBay.

There's normally about 7 1/2 inches. I bought some in the past that where longer but I don't remember the brand or anything.
266  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Rebuilding the Block Chain Issue on: September 14, 2013, 11:56:19 AM
I keep getting the message that I need to rebuild the block chain when I start my wallet. It happened twice today, and I have not even restarted the pc. It's done it 4-5 times in the past week now. I downloaded the latest version hoping that would fix it. Guess not. Anyone have any ideas? Also, anyone know if this takes a lot of bandwidth? I'm usually pretty close to my monthly download limit already.
267  Bitcoin / Mining support / Long PCIE extenders on: September 14, 2013, 11:36:04 AM
Amazon never shows the length of the extenders. Does anyone know where to get the longer extenders at? A extra 2 inches makes a world of difference on these. It rarely allows me to use two extenders together. Anyone know the limiting factor on that?

I'm trying to set up my friends new 60gh bfl unit remotely. It connects fine to the pool  but I don't get any accepted, rejected shares. No HW errors either. I've tried it on two of his pc's. A windows 7 and a windows 8. The speed just sits at zero. I tried easyminer as well. Anyone seen something similar or have time to login and try to fix it? The only thing else out of the ordinary is a device that was showing up like another miner, called MMQ. I had to use -s COM4 so it would stop picking up the other device. He said there was nothing else hooked to the pc though.
269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: September 10, 2013, 01:07:17 PM
So do the back panels allow you to power them without the molex cables and from normal power supplies?

The link to the stratum proxy does not seem to be working.

Little of everything in here now.

What's the point of the OP? I don't see any prices posted.

I would like to buy some if the price is right.
274  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB - Overclocking/ hacking ? on: September 01, 2013, 12:50:39 PM
I'm still waiting for the "Erupter Overlocking for Noobs" book to come out.
275  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: August 28, 2013, 05:20:29 AM
850 is plenty for a 3 module doing 350
You could probably get by with it. He's talking about 4 modules though.
276  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Honoring Pay Dates? on: August 25, 2013, 09:37:53 PM
How are they doing with Honoring the Pay Dates now?

I think everyone knows how it's going. If you ordered the wrong product line you can kiss your money good bye. Looks like there still not shipping the Singles with power supplies either.
you never got your single?
My order from the first day was filled. They're on July 7th or something now with the Singles. At least if you don't want a power supply.

850 is not really enough for even 3 modules. Mine was making some horrible noises. I was able to fit a 1350 watt psu in it. Most of my power supplies did not want to fit in the case.  I would get something big enough that your not over 80% load. You get a better efficiency the closer you get to 50-60% load.

Are you using a power meter?  1350W is insane overkill for a 3 module avalon.  Buy a power meter and see how much it's actually using.

I have one, I have not checked it though. It should be near 800 watts. I would run at least a 1000 watt psu.

I run 4 modules on my batch #3 .

850W Seasonic Gold Modular Power Supply.  Its been running almost 2 weeks straight now.

355-358 frequency.

doing 111 to 113GH/s  (it has hashed faster and faster over the days).

It's not uncommon for power supplies to burn up under normal circumstances. Even if it doesn't start a fire, it's lifespan is not going to be very long. I doubt you will end up saving money from doing that. I learned my lesson early on with regards to being cheap with power supplies.

What model PSU?

Same model is sold on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Enermax-MaxRevo-Multiple-Modular-EMR1350EWT/dp/B0051VVU6G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376952554&sr=8-2&keywords=enermax+1350w
I couldn't find anything else that would fit. Enermax power supplies are all pretty short, even they barely fit though.
