181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoiners from 2012: What are you doing now? on: June 01, 2015, 04:47:30 AM
I'm still holding, even though the price just keeps going down. I believe in bitcoin -- I'm heavily against modern monetary theory.

Thanks for no longer power tripping here! Grin

184  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roshpit.ca | World's first ESPORTS bitcoin gambling exclusively for DOTA2 | on: May 28, 2015, 07:07:26 PM
So pretty much a lounge analog but with the ability to bet with BTC i assume.

Unfortunately i had to immediately pass after seeing that you use "drifting odds" (odds not locking up after a bet). Kind of a shame, given that ladders/factions and stuff look somewhat fun.

Dota2lounge uses drifting odds too.
185  Other / Meta / Re: Is my forum registration IP address stored? on: May 28, 2015, 06:57:52 PM
Yes, your registration IP is stored along with the IP used to make any post / topic. Other actions also log your IP address.

Probably the most unimaginative idea with the least potential for success I've ever seen on here.
189  Other / Meta / Re: VIP account with a single space as a Username on: May 26, 2015, 11:00:55 PM
Quickseller is the scammer. Don't be fooled.

His unabashed business of selling hacked and stolen accounts is booming bigger than ever right now.

Have you no sense of decency, sir? Have you no shame at all?
She doesn't sell hacked or stolen accounts.
190  Other / Meta / Re: Delete my account on: May 26, 2015, 03:47:20 PM
Delete your forum account? You can't. Just delete the posts and change the pass and abandon it.
As this forum lacks an IP-transferring ToS and privacy policy, you might have legal merit in demanding deletion of your account (which may vary based on your jurisdiction; eg EU's right to be forgotten).

Probably not worth the effort tho.
191  Other / Meta / Re: Was TF finally given a scammer tag? on: May 26, 2015, 02:28:40 AM
<--

Best regards.

It's best to assume that the display name, title, and personal text, are all set by the holder of the account as scammer tags have been all phased out.
192  Other / Meta / Re: Are these attacks preventable? on: May 26, 2015, 02:08:19 AM
Bitcointalk is pretty important to the crypto community.  Were these attacks preventable?

It's hard if not impossible to protect against social engineering.

Not _that_ hard.

Time for social engineering to be added as a valid attack?
195  Other / Meta / Re: theymos is a government agent | do not use this forum it is honeypot on: May 26, 2015, 01:44:47 AM
Some of you really have an unhealthy obsession with theymos and this forum.
Another hacked / modified account... was the DB even checked?
196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / It is time to raise the blockchain size. on: May 26, 2015, 12:16:58 AM
Bitcoin was never designed to limit transactions to 3 tps. The 1 MB hard limit was only intended as a temporary stopgap while typical bitcoin blocks were many orders of magnitudes smaller.

Bitcoin was designed to handle transactions without a financial intermediary. It is intended for all transactions to take place on chain, not off-chain using a centralized service. It is time to raise the blockchain size.
197  Other / Meta / Re: theymos is a government agent | do not use this forum it is honeypot on: May 25, 2015, 11:20:29 PM
I am disappointed in theymos. I have stepped away from the forum, but I believe it is time to find a more competent administrator.

200  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: May 20, 2015, 12:31:24 AM
So how is this service going?? haven't heard much either way yet. Great Possibilities though!! Any options in the future for a iOS/Android app with communications built in/order tracking etc. or accepting other crypto??

I just signed up, but I don't see any active spend or buy orders.. So it might not be as active as before.

I think it's a quite nice service of which I only just heard. However, it should be quite active to be usefull.

There are plenty... I have one.
