Why do you keep changing your name?

It's fun.
302  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domain name: SatoshiFaucet.com on: December 01, 2014, 08:36:26 AM
I already tried, I think that faucet names don't go for really anything at all.

But good luck anyways.
U tried what?
Faucet makes more money then any other kind of website.
People come as they want BTC, so every day visits and some clicks can make you nice money with Google.
Anyway - not because it is mine, it's just cause Satoshi Nakamoto is famous name in Bitcoin world (#1) + faucet as a faucet = logic.
And - it's .com

You're clueless.

Facuets violate Google AdSense's program policies, as well as ad placement policies. You can enjoy having your account suspended when they perform a manual review (and no, they pretty much pay no attention to both initial registration reviews).

If you'd like to get yourself banned from AdSense permanently, go place it on faucet sites!

By the way, I reported your faucet with AdSense.

Anyone interested in creating something like gawscam.com?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=41911

His trust explains enough, he makes random assumptions.

He is doing a terrible job. He shall be removed. It's like putting a 5 year old in front of a big red button that says "Blow up the world". Not the best idea, right?

I am asking for justice and for the best of the forum.

Thanks,
Candy

You act like a 5 year old.

Go away.
305  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: The Bitcoin Address with Andreas M. Antonopoulos on: November 23, 2014, 12:49:40 PM
Unfortunately i will probabl not be able to attend now, i was really looking foward to this.  Cry
Now that i won't be going someone could take my spot. There is 200 places already fully booked and heaps of people on the waiting list.

This is a big avent on the Melbourne bitcoin calender, its on tomorrow night 24/11/14.
Offers are welcome of course but at this stage i don't know if this is something im even aloud to sell. I will update when i find out.
Let me know if your interested.
It's a free even. Considering selling it for money is outlandish. If you don't have a friend to give it to, just let someone on the waitlist take it. That's what the waitlist is for.
306  Other / Meta / Re: Who are the most trustworthy Bitcointalk users? on: November 20, 2014, 08:48:55 AM
Does nobody remember TF? Huh
And do not trust the staff just because of their titles, keep in mind that they are regular users that were recruited by theymos because of their helpfulness in posts, not because of their worthiness.  There was a staff member that was a lier, got demoted back to a regular user... Darkwingx or something, I can't remember.

xDeathwing didn't really scam anyone, some newbie posted a very suspiciously looking exe, he said something like "I'll bet you 5 BTC it's a virus".

Apparently it wasn't a virus, but back then edit history wasn't saved. So the OP could have swapped out the malware exe with a non-virus exe and then tried to claim the 5 BTC.
307  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: November 19, 2014, 11:55:57 AM
No and maybe.

All theoretical profits of AMHash units sold at IPO are distributed as dividends. AM had better have received sales proceeds for the miners supporting the AMHash units sold at IPO.

As for the AMHash units that did not sell at IPO, there is no information as to the operational concept.

What you just said is completely wrong. AMHash is a 5 Ph/s mine created by AM using AM hardware. AMHash is simply a service of AM just like the Prisma is a product of AM. The profit from selling AMHash units are not distributed as dividends to AMHash holders at all. That profit goes to AM. What gets distributed as dividends to AMHash holders is the proceeds form mining, just like someone who bought a miner would get BTC from mining. As for the units that don't sell, they mine for AM, because it's an AM service.

AMHash is created by rockminer, not ASICMINER.

While I have questioned the forums rules in the past I have come to the conclusion that the mods/admins have acted in a proper manner whether you like it or not. Try to look at everything from another angle than yours.
Try posting a link to Theymos' dox located at blockchain.info and see how quickly your opinion changes.
Yep. Seriously, RoadStress, go post theymos' dox (google and you'll find it) and see what happens.
What will happen? I thought the policy was not to remove dox? If the info is out there or on google what would it matter anyhow?
If it's an indication, I was banned for 45 days for doing so.

Fact: Joshua "Inaba" / "Nitrowolf" Zerlan of Butterfly Labs made it part of his career to dox and intimidate vocal people in the community that spoke out against them.

Fact: Josh Zerlan of Butterfly Labs paid Michael "Theymos" Marquardt significant advertising funds over the course of perpetuating their fraud[1].

Fact: Michael Marquardt did nothing to remove the dox that Joshua Zerlan posted despite protestations of his victims.

Fact: Michael Marquardt bans people that post his dox, and removes the offending posts while allowing Butterfly Labs' intimidation dox to remain.

Ergo, Michael Marquardt is a profiteering hypocrite who materially benefitted from Butterfly Labs and others that defrauded this community, while taking their advertising monies, looking the other way, and allows them to continue their bad behavior while he bans others for the same bad behavior.

Finally, I need to again call attention to the fact Michael Marquardt is paying out, by his own admission, an absolutely asinine sum of $100,000[2] per month for development of new forums software.

What "reason" did theymos give you?

It's quite funny how the OP of this thread, PuertoLibre (iirc) was one of those that Josh Zerlan dox'd..

It seems that this community views anonymity as a sacred right, and discovering the real identity of ("doxxing") of someone as a mortal sin.  Sorry, I don't buy that.

While it may be OK for people to use pseudonyms, it is also OK for people to blow them.  In any significant personal interaction each party has the right to know the identity of the other.  In commercial business, in particular, it is foolish to make a deal without knowing the other party's real name and photo, and the address where the police can be sent to; and without checking his professional history and legal record.  That applies not only to the principals of companies, but also to key employees.  The "right to dox" also applies to anyone who accuses or insults someone.

In particular, I think it is quite appropriate for BFL clients to try to uncover the identity of the "SLoK" who managed the BFL forum (under a deal that has not been clarified) and may hold assets that should be surrendered to the receiver.

We basically all agree with that. We're talking about theymos banning anyone that posts his dox.

You can put TradeFortress on there as well, probably just a link to his profile will do the trick.
Ok..
311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet Hashcoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: November 18, 2014, 09:19:25 AM
@jimmothy

The thing is GAW has been a legit business in mining equipment for quite a while, and the Garza won't get a slap on his wrist if this blows up in his face.

No they haven't. They resold dropshipped stuff.

It literally costed them $0 in capital. You buy something from GAW's store, Zeus ships it to them. They didn't buy hardware from Zeus, they just resold it getting a % of every sale with their own branded miners.

@$username:

If he fails to back up his claims, he is commiting fraud and illegal profiteering on a mass scale.  It is unethical to mislead with false implications, it is illegal to mislead with explicitly false claims.

Read their terms of service first. They explicitly state that their hardware doesn't cover their miners and they 'may not' be mining. A 'may not' is always a negative inference.

WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED WARNING / UNRESOLVED

I have been playing on PD for over 2 years and many hundreds of bitcoin wagered. Not a whale of anything of that nature but a liked to gamble some extra money in my spare time. Well, like most, my luck ran out and I ended up losing a bit in the end. Alright.

Recently it came to my attention that (quote) "it was found that the house edge was actually higher than 1% because of the rounding they placed on all rolls. At least 1 in 20,000 bets were marked as losing bets when they should of been a winning bet. All bets had a 1.05% to 50% house edge. It may seem small, but when there have been 781,000,000 bets for a total of 408,000B wagered, it is actually very meaningful."
ref to topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=208986.7880

So, out of pure interest I went to look at the published list of users affected and would you believe it, I happened to be on the list twice. Once for a .01btc bet and once for a .02 btc bet, both on 2x payout.
I had my 'strategy' figured out on primedice Wink I would pre-roll 5 reds then start to martingale at .01 hope to bloody hell it goes green soon Smiley I did pretty well in the beginning but eventually I hit that streak that we fear and we are in a loss. 'Those' streaks only happened about 2/3 times to me as I am not a millionaire and cannot afford to double up much at all from such a high base bet.

So I learn that I have been a 'victim' (for lack of a better word) of the flaw that was on PD and consequently lost my beloved .03 btc. Well, at least the site is being kind enough to publish the list of users effected. I personally am amazed that my luck was so bad that I am on that list but there you go. There is now a glimmer of hope however, lets see what PD support says. The guy who replied was super fast, glad to help you -after verifying that I was indeed the user claiming to be affected he said 'sure -what's new PD addy and I'll send you the .03btc now!' Nooooow, just hang on a wee moment there buddy, I BET .02 & .01 with a 2x payout -since it's now been 'proven' that I won, then I WON. You at LEAST owe me the wager + winnings. He/she/it said 'I will double check' and shortly came back to confirm that indeed I am right.

Secondly, and all along, I had been asking to see the subsequent bets after these affected bets, because, if I wagered .02 and lost, I would have doubled up and perhaps lost again, and again -it it might have been this streak that killed me. There were not too many so I have a damn good reason to think it's possible. I pointed this out again to support, who said although the do not agree with my theory they can look into the matter but it would take 'significant' time and I may end up getting nothing back. What he could do was offer me a few pennies worth of btc as a consultation. I told him I am not interested in a meager handout from his back pocket of a few satoshi - I bet hundreds of dollars and may have been duped from the ineptness of the sites ability to process a simple bet on 2x. IF I had won that 2x bet, instead of being a couple btc in arears, I would have been in profit. YOU'RE site FUCKED me out out my BTC. Sorry for the french but I am not some decrepit lowlife playing from faucet, I was/am a serious customer of PD. Even on PD3 I was excited and I am lv25 or something.

I did not have a answer now for 2 days from support. They said the dev's would have to find the results and they would get back to me. I am hoping they do as I still have faith in PD but it wears thin now. I don't know what to make of this error except that I am sad I fell victim to it. I hope PD steps up to the plate on this one, show the people they are a decent bunch and pay back a customer IN FULL when there has frankly been a heinous breach of trust.

WTF is this? I have been asking for the bet ID's for ages but the refuse to help any further. What kind of website advertises being fair then sends me this bullshit response? I must just 'beleive' this unofficial reponse from admin? WHERE THE HELL ARE THE BET ID'S -SURLEY IF THE DEVOLPER WENT THROUGH THE TROUBLE TO FIND MY BET HE WOULD ALSO INCLUDE THE BET ID'S IN THE REPLY -EVEN MORE SO SINCE I SPECIFICALLY STATED I REQUIRED THAT INFORMATION?!

On another note: PD advertised that I would increase my faucet if I wagered / chatted etc and built up my level. Now twice they have HALVED MY FAUCET- their stupid argument is why am I complaining about 'free money' HAHAHA what a pile of shite -I WAGERED OVER 4 BITCOIN (NOT TO MENTIONS HUDREDS ON PD2) IN THE BELIEF I COULD INCREASE MY FAUCET -THIS WAS NOT FREE I TOOK RISK RISK RISK AND NOW THEY JUST CLAIM THE FAUCET BACK?!

I ALREADY ANTICIPATE THE SLEW OF REPONSES FROM PD BACKERS TELLING ME I AM UNGRATEFUL ETC FOR 'FREE MONEY' BLABLABLA. MOST OF THESE PEOPLE ARE SPOTTY TEENAGERS WITH LITTLE TO NO MONEY WHILE I HAVE GAMBLED THOUSANDS WORTH OF BITCOIN ON PD -YET THIS IS THE SHITTY SERVICE I GET?

I WILL POST THIS ON THE PD THREAD AS OFTEN AS I CAN UNTIL I GET SOME REAL ANSWERS. THESE SCUMBAGS TAKE MY BITCOIN BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE AND THEN WONT PROVIDE ME WITH PROOF REGARDING MY AFFECTED BETS? SOUNDS LIKE A BLOODY SCAM TO ME

PEACE

Reported.

Altcoin threads do not belong in the Bitcoin sections. We don't want to see any of that, and you won't get any responses.

I cannot stand the Garza for the life of me, if I see :grinning: one more time I might puke, but I don't see "the red flags" in the same light you do I guess.  He has leaked more information than I would expect, but I do think that marketing stunts are part of business.  It strikes me as far fetched for the company to go so far if it is all smoke and mirrors, and I haven't heard anything about GAW employees or associates jumping ship.  I can't say I believe in the company 100% either, I can't stand their spokesperson, I just think it is worth the risk to put my money where my mouth is in this case.

Unethical != illegal.

GAW isn't going to run away and take your coins. You're just not going to earn a profit, except for token profits to get people to continue investing. See: ZenPool.

About GAW, I don't think their pics/endorsement should count as evidence they are legit.

They claimed to have ~750-1000 GH/s worth of hashlets mining scrypt in Oct 2. At that time the entire litecoin network was 1037 GH/s.

I find it hard to believe the litecoin/altcoin network could sustain such massive dumping, and on top of that GAW found some mysterious way to make their payouts higher than normal the conversion rate from ltc to btc.

All the pics of GAW's hardware combined only account for a few % of what they are claiming. Someone counted ~300 x 40 MH/s units which is only 12 GH/s.

I could be wrong but I think you're considering the new Bitmain 5ph/s order as an endorsement but that is long after GAW claimed to be running several MW worth of hardware.

Yeah, there is no way in hell GAW is not running fractional reserve hashing.

TheButterZone, no your reputation has not been irreparably damaged. It wasn't damaged at all until you started making a fool out of yourself in this very thread.

319  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Bouny Hunter: Bitalo DDOS attacker discussion on: November 17, 2014, 03:52:47 AM
It is a "private" bounty from one of the Bitalo founders, as he considers it a key objective to show that extortion and blackmail will not be tolerated and to remove malicious idiots from the net that could slow down the progress of Bitcoin as technology as soon as possible.

But how would you guys go about proving, that he was reponsible for the DDOs attacks on those sites?

I've already expressed this to Martin earlier. You can spoof an IP but you can't spoof stupid.

@dd4bc, I'm pretty sure you are wrong and that he will pay the bounty. If he didn't, his reputation would be completely ruined and that would defeat the original purpose of his bounty. If he didn't want to protect his entity and reputation, he would not give a rats ass about you, nor care to pay someone else to find you.

You are a little cocky dd4bc, as if you thought of yourself to be some type of invisible virtual god, or something. Weird.

Yep looks like Theymos read it and fixed it
Neutral will just exist for non-impact ratings I guess where one won't receive positive trust or negative trust.
But agree that a suspect categorization would work better

Or "bought something from this user with escrow".
