I'm more than happy to offer proof to anyone after purchase.
After purchase? Are you insane? "sure trust me I'm legit, I'll give proof after you hand me money" SRSLY? ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give vm1990 negative trust (fraud - pretends to be a 'reseller' but OVH doesn't have resellers[/ur])

Yep not to mention the 50p charge for PayPal plus the fact they ask for 2 forms of I'd... Ah I see you forget to mention the important stuff.
Yeah, because you totally want your VPS suddenly down when another person runs a botnet C&C server and OP gets his whole account shut down In that case they simply email me give me 48 hours to sort it and if I dont they suspend that vps. They very rarely suspend reseller accounts as they loose money to. LOL. Liar. We do not have any official resellers, all the resellers that do operate do so unofficially and order off the OVH Website, they do not have any special agreements -OVH employee.

The post had nothing to do with perceived competition; I also don't consider you competitive. I wrote what I wrote because it seems highly irresponsible to market something as "secure and private" when it is impossible to audit the source—we're in the post-Snowden era here, are we not? I don't mean to pick on you guys in particular, you seem like a nice, well-intentioned bunch. But if you truly care about privacy and security, then I don't see how you can disagree with my premise. The old way of doing things has had its day.
"Any person can invent a security system so clever that she or he can't think of how to break it." —Bruce Schneier
Anyway it's your company and you are of course free to do as you like, but I will continue to encourage you to re-think this strategy, and likewise discourage anyone I know from using Gliph until a different direction is taken.
PS- Can you explain to me why "startup" and "open source" are at odds? I don't really follow.
This is an especially good point. Here's something from 2008, regarding backdoors in Skype and why you cannot (no exceptions) trust closed source software: It is antics like this that should make us think twice about trusting proprietary, closed-source software. It demonstrates the inherent value of free and open source code: Backdoors and hidden activities such as this don't have a chance. They will be discovered and removed. With proprietary software you can never know what you get. This is not just limited to software that hails from a heavily monitored society. Even in the west, the most reputable software vendors have had moments where the mere opportunity to capture more data than they really needed about you was just too tempting to pass.
Free and open source is the answer to a world written in code. Our data, our thoughts, our privacy should be worth enough to us that we want to protect them. We have seen here again that you cannot do that with proprietary software. http://www.geekzone.co.nz/foobar/5823How true that was, as we've learned in 2013. For those that don't know, Skype originally started with end to end encryption and the promise 'We do not have access to communication data' right in their privacy policy. Today, we know Skype is a PRISM partner. Security and privacy is fundamentally incompatible with closed source software. There are no exceptions. PS: Hive, I liked your wallet until you added altcoin crap. But nice to see it open source, though what is it licensed under? Source code published != open source.Posted from Firefox on Ubuntu

We do not have plans to open source Gliph.
Gliph has zero actual security or privacy. Period. You are absolutely throwing your coins, and your privacy away. Also: http://www.wired.com/2013/11/inputs/

It would be nice if you could please forward to me your PGP key via PM, so we can get in-synch for a chat as a better option to refine details and to clear-out doubts...! Cheers! -akw- * Free hugs! ♥ hugs anykeywhy for using GPG But, take care - datz is a untrustworthy ripple shill, and the Peercover brand is a liability.

lol Anyway, OP is reselling OVH France / OVH Canada VPSes for a hefty markup. http://www.ovh.com/us/vps/vps-classic.xml$2.99/month (nearly half of what he charges) 1 vCore 1 GB 10 GB Raid 10 100mbps (up to 10TB) then limited to 1mbps Just go buy it from OVH.

Please explain why your wallet creation code is obfuscated (not just minified). Are you hiding something, like the code secretly sending back the password?

Where are server locations (City/Country?), and who is the provider (Datacenter for example)? Posted from Bitcointa.lk - #imyX9PWpPHwvNFX5
Northern France And I'm not willing to give out datacenter details. Or company details. Then do not trade - the VPSes most likely are hacked/rooted boxes. If they're not, then post the provider - you have no excuse not to Especially since the user has a landofbitcoin (LOL) referral link in their signature.

IMO the blockchain.info web wallet is probably the best as long as you use the proper security procedures. There is an argument to even not have any email associated with your account but instead set it up to backup your encrypted wallet to your dropbox
'Proper security procedures' is impossible for a web wallet. If you're not running the code locally, it isn't secure, period.

Seriously, just make a new account. You're wasting time you could be using to build your new account.

Not sure if this is the right section to ask or not. sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section.
Are there any faucets that work? or other ways to make BTC? Small investments or such? could use some advice. Thanks
If by 'work' you mean 'worth the time', no there are no faucets that are worth the time.

I have requested a refund after taking legal advice in the UK, might need a CRN ( crime reference number ) that way it escalates, also intend to take my single PSU to Trading standards who do safety checks on consumer kit in the UK to see if its legal
In the UK, they're legally obliged to give a full refund (so no admin costs etc) within 7 days as per the Distance Selling Act and the Consumer Protection Act. You can get a full refund for upto 7 days AFTER you have received the goods (yes, you have to send them back obviously). IIRC BFL offer refunds with 30-45 days (which would be illegal in the UK as is their 'All sales are final' policy). Yep, the UK has some pretty good consumer protection. Unlike the US, where you generally give up the right to sue in court as part of the terms of service

My experience with gawminers hasnt been good. I ordered a week 4 fury miner in june and it was expected to be delivered before 21st june but it didnt. I wasnt provided any tracking number so i also couldnt track where my package was stuck. After contacting gawminers 4 times, i was told that the package has returned to the workshop due to a bad address moreover last time when they sent a package to india it got stuck in custom and i should better get a refund instead of trying to get the miner being sent again. I got the refund but it was a complete waste of time for me. If they cannot ship to india they should have told me earlier.
It's a complete waste of time for them too.. At least they refunded you, look at how well BFL refunds are going

Are you interested in this for it as website content, or are you actually interested in setting up a reverse proxy?

Removing personal information is a pointless reduction in freedom. If someone found your personal information to post it, then anyone can find it (probably very easily).
A thread in scammer accusations with dox claiming to be yours appears to have been deleted. Does this policy not apply when the dox is yours?
|
|
|
Did you post Theymos Dox? A few people got banned recently for doing that.....
That's interesting, someone did recently get banned for posting something claiming to be theymos's dox. It's interesting that their thread got deleted while other people's dox remains.
