881  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Web Hosting from $1.15/mo - Host Unlimited Websites - Free Domain on: May 20, 2014, 11:36:28 PM
You should fix SSL (mixed content) and not open your mysql port to the whole world. Automatic redirect to https + HSTS would be nice too, especially when you are putting up a SSL seal.
882  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - NEW IPO, NEW HARDWARE, 1,500 TH/S HASH RATE on: May 20, 2014, 11:30:22 PM
Ouch... Depressing to imagine. Where is this marketing strategy or campaign cryptx had mentioned about? Also, is any community marketing happening that you or anyone else aware of? 10,000 shares is a lot, surly we need more marketing.

No, people simply need to stop investing into crappy mining securities where you are just about guaranteed to lose money.
883  Economy / Securities / Re: GIF - Leancuisine's Gambling Investment Fund on: May 20, 2014, 11:29:20 PM
There are people out there so lazy that they can't send some BTC to a site and click 4 buttons?  Damn, I can only imagine the struggle when they get hungry..
Well again, I will be investing mainly in Playtin shares, and they go for 1.7BTC a piece although you could still buy fractions. Leveraging with a fund would allow compounding, etc.

99% chance of scam, 1% chance of innocent stupidity
I must be the 1%.  Undecided

I might as well stop the Dice-Sites investments in this and just go as a group-buy for Playtin shares.  Wink
Your counterparty risk makes it not worth it, and nobody is going to pay you a fee to simply click around and buy shares or click deposit/withdraw.
884  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 20, 2014, 11:21:49 PM
What a surprise, another mining security ending in a disaster. There has been what, 1-2 profitable mining security out of 20? People are so gullible.
885  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTO-TRADE] Crypto-trade.com IPO and official thread! on: May 20, 2014, 11:18:50 PM
I like the current design, the new one is a bit bland. I suggest having a full unique logo.

I'm putting Crypto-Trade in my signature for a while. You can track clicks here: http://bit.ly/1i1rnAn+

Are there any issues that theymos hasn't been addressing, but should?

Typo fix (can't edit my posts).

Was the site really down for a while? I wasn't offline for long so I guess I missed it. Or maybe it was a localised cloudflare outage.

Probably the latter. Cloudflare is actually quite unreliable.

Aw I am not in top post lists Sad
891  Other / Meta / Re: Tapatalk on this Forum on: May 16, 2014, 06:59:33 AM
is tapatalk supported now?
It isn't, and I would not expect development effort on the current forum.
892  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: May 16, 2014, 02:56:02 AM
Nope, absolutely nothing has happened in months. You have been robbed.

Again I don't see why people are so concerned with these next to meaningless shares on the portal.

What does it matter if you have 5 shares on the portal or 5000 ? They are both worth the same thing, which is nothing.

Ukyo not paid back his defaulted loan for many months now, and he hasn't even said any reasons why he can't do so. If you think he is going to magically want to hand over all the bitcoins he stole from you all of a sudden then you are really deluding yourself.
This is the biggest telling factor Smiley

Is this a ponzi?
Of course it is, what do you think?

894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Foundation Must Remove Satoshi as Founder on: May 10, 2014, 08:55:58 AM
As far i know Satoshi Nakamoto is the founder of the bitcoin foundation. Where have you found that Satoshi Nakamoto was not a founder of the bitcoin foundation? What is the source of your information?
The Bitcoin Foundation was founded far after Satoshi disappeared.

Also pro tip: Notice how PG's ignore tab has no color. Clearly people want to hear what he has to say or he'd be on their ignore lists, especially with that many posts!

lol. Roll Eyes

I've had to totally disable this feature. I will fix it in a few days.

You do realize that you can simply add up what you're supposed to be sending to an address, and send that amount via the Blockchain.info API?

IE: Instead of calling the API to send to [1Address] for 0.001 and then again for 0.002, call the API to send to [1Address] for 0.003.

/facepalm
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Foundation Must Remove Satoshi as Founder on: May 10, 2014, 08:05:29 AM
Satoshi Nakamoto was not a founder of the bitcoin foundation. It  is highly unethical for him to be listed as a founder. It is not an honorary title. Satoshi created a decentralised system. He would hate the foundation's centralisation.

Now that a highly controversial figure has been elected to the board I think it is imperative that the foundation stops claiming legitimacy by stating that Satoshi was in any way a founder or in any way approved of that rotten centalisation.

How can you speak for Satoshi?  Do you know him personally?  Has he told you that he doesn't want to be associated with the Foundation?  Can you prove that he didn't give the foundation permission to list him?

It is highly unethical for you to be deciding on behalf of Satoshi if he should be listed unless he has given you permission to do so.  Let him speak for himself if he is against it.
It should be up to the Bitcoin Foundation to prove that he wants to be associated with the Foundation, and not vice versa. Burden of proof.

Where is Satoshi on the list of Bitcoin Foundation?
899  Other / Meta / Re: I was given negative trust from staff of BT for stirring up arguments. on: May 10, 2014, 08:00:02 AM
Crap like this... you could have PMed me to ask about it, and it would have been gone!  Instead you hop up on the soap box and start shouting.

Why take the route you did if you're not just trying to stir up trouble?

Because accountability?
900  Other / Meta / Re: phishing emails from bitcointaik.org on: May 10, 2014, 07:58:44 AM
Thanks for the alert.

OP, your email is hidden in your profile page (at least at this moment), so how did the email sender know your email address?  Huh
He mentioned how earlier:

This was sent to my email account associated with my bitcointalk account.

I had my email not hidden, so I set it to hidden now. I agree that it was a targetted email, because my email was published and my bitcoin address has a decent balance which is also visible on my account.

This is a fairly clever attack, surprised it wasn't registered earlier.
