-snip-
what do i know.
It was more of a satirical post, so cutting one fragment out of context is kinda not fair, but whatever.
I think I have to explain to you what kind of a situation we are facing here.
Let's assume I have had written a post, where I called people to kill particular group of folks.
You would surely agree that by doing so, I have committed a crime. This is the universal truth, almost all, reasonable people on this planet would be in agreement, that I have to be punished for this. Government has the right to ask admin to provide them with logs of my conversations, where such event took place. Admins are legally obligated, they have to provide the evidence.
This simply have to be a double edge sword (the truth). If one person has the right to be protected against words, the other person have to have the right to write them. Thus the argument of a private platform is not valid here. If we let private company to censor, shadow-ban, de-platform people, we have to allow the same thing for the government because it is in fact a special kind of a company.
You can surely see how dangerous it gets when the logos (the truth, the double edge sword, the inherently good natural order of things) gets corrupted. This is exactly what happened here.
I'm more than sure it wasn't thoroughly thought out decision, made under the pressuring noise of the crowd. I'm aware that having a lot of bad quality post, would not only make admins to work harder but also users themself. The thing is, we already had every means to deal with this situation. Drastic step, that was censoring the sig-box, was unjustified and harmed a few, ergo it wasn't good nor necessary nor moral.

@poptok1: Did you forget your own poem?:
No, i did not forget about this. Not the greatest poem ever written though Roll Eyes
You see, I stated multiple times that I'm not about yobit here. BTW they have paid me for the posts before the ban, I was using them since 2016, and have had zero issues. Not a single satoshi was stolen from me by them. More to that, the owner (herzog?) gave me even couple of thousand satoshis for being nice to people on chat... Do I think it's a good exchange? By all means no, it's not. It's decent enough, sometimes confusing and full of temptations but as open and free as all exchanges where 5 years ago.
It's Russian and it's more of an open, free market than everything else today, that's why you people hate it so much.
You have found yourself a "beating boy" and you beating it, but most people who where cheated or felt in some sort of yobi-trap, did this due to their own incompetence or greed.

I guess that makes two of us, considering all your logical fallacies, tu quoque, and strawmanning.
Another one-liner only proves my point. Have a nice day spammer  Cool
386  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: April 25, 2019, 07:23:34 PM
How can you promote something but not stand behind it?
I don't know, ask admins that promote various stuff in the adds and yet they do not endorse them.
Or better, ask tv channels why they promote overpriced pottery, pillows and gadgets and even charge serious money for it, but when asked they will most likely say "we just doing our job"

That's what you call a legion of users who advertise ponzi/HYIP/pump & dump schemes, at cost of the readability of the forum?
Now that's just trolling. Reported.

As far as i know, I've never promoted a HYIP or pump & dump scheme knowing what they'd do to unknowing investors.
No such thing as unknowing investors, that's an oxymoron.

I'm pretty sure if i were, i'd get kicked out rather quickly. But hey what do you know..
Wow you where able to post four lines now, bravo! Still completely about nothing, for the sake of posting and attaching me with your false premise. Zero arguments, zero consistency, with factual error and slander. You are nothing more than a pay2post abuser, with nothing interesting to say.
387  Other / Ivory Tower / 22-04-2019 the day when something died on bitcointalk on: April 23, 2019, 12:09:33 PM
Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.
local rule: (╭☞σ ͜ʖσ)╭☞

Extra, extra, read all about it!
A collective responsibility was instantiated on famous discussion board, known as "the birthplace of Bitcoin" (electronic currency), in order to protect quality over quantity. It was reported that pressure from the community arose dramatically, rumours of wide spread, so called red tags, started to appear. Commotion among members of all ranks started from inconspicuous restart of defamed crypto-exchange known as Yobit.
The administrator of the bitcointalk.org forum decided to introduce a censorship for particular phrases, as a countermeasure to mob's dissatisfaction. Our reporter say; so far "only" signature box was bounded by the restrictions, future curtailments are yet unknown". An anonymous member in the rank of a Hero, called poptok2 (name altered for protection) states as follows; you don't get it, today another, tiny portion of your freedom was taken away from you, by force! Don't believe me? Look below, I did not typed this in to my(?) sig-box (advertising spot for members to promote various projects). When "they" will come after your sig-space, who will defend it? Censorship and false impression of handling things, that's what it is. This will continue and bitcoin will fall, mark my words (original spelling).
Experts ask, what future awaits one of the last enclaves of free-speech throughout internet? Are people aware of the danger and unprecedented paradigm shift? How can this influence the image of exciting cryptocurrency world? What would Satoshi Nakamoto said to this potential debacle? Expect more reports on the matter in the upcoming weeks.

Yeah, as sad day because you don't get to shitpost for pennies? Indeed.
And you are allowed to do the exact same thing 乁(♥ ʖ̯♥)ㄏ
so much justice, so many one liners wow

You don't get it, today another, tiny portion of your freedom was taken from you, by force.
Contrary to what you may believe, shitposting for some pennies isn’t really a right...
So why are you utilizing it? You think you are somehow different, better because you have a shitmixer signature and thus allowed to post one liners of zero value? Let me news flash you: you're not. You post is the display of hypocrisy and lack of interest in the future of this space. Sooner you realise how logos-less you are being here, the better for the sake of bitcointalk and bitcoin.

If you think I'm somewhat defending yobit here, you are mistaken. I'm just standing straight against the flow of false justice!

Co sugerujesz? Że najwięksi managerzy kampanii poczuli się urażeni?
Zagrożeni. "Drone better" - Ivan Vanko

391  Local / Polski / Re: O co chocdzi z Yobit? on: April 23, 2019, 08:28:06 AM
Shocked ó zasunąłeś, to Ci wziął i usunął Grin Zasuwaj i popraw nim ktoś przesunie konto twe ku czerwieni  Cool #grammarnazi

Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.
So basically a collective responsibility now?
Say hello to true communism folks  Roll Eyes as this action was social justice at it's "finest".
Disappointing to say the least and yet understandable, there is to much pressure sometimes.
It's a sad day for this place Cry it truly is. Absolutely zero Logos.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think should happen with @bitcoin handle on Twitter? on: April 23, 2019, 06:35:06 AM
I think people should just get over it. Satoshi didn't care that bitcoin.com was already taken when he started the project. I feel the same way here.
Even better idea, do not use twitter Grin boom, problem solved. Seriously.
I bet that this person who owns bitcoin profile on twitter was hoping to sell access to that account for some serious satoshis.
Plan turned out to be a dud, so he started to besmirch the idea of btc entirely. Now whatever they decide to do with his account, will backfire in their faces one way or another, which is cool.

394  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Gold, the conflict on: April 22, 2019, 03:59:16 PM
I don't think the scarcity argument for btc holds much value.  Altcoins have captured a large percentage of the crypto market and forks can be created at anytime.  People hate on bitcoincash but its still a top 5 coin and it sort of doubled the coin supply of bitcoin holders.  Now go and try to create more gold and see how difficult it is.
It's not that hard actually, all you need is mercury and some nuclear power Grin but surely it is not so complicated process, in it's core at least. The real problem is the decontamination technique, because the final product is radioactive and this is the moment where 90% of production costs go, of course when you need to make it safe. True, you can't produce gold at the profitable rates, same as other altcoins. Diamonds however... totally different story.
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Heathy Bountying on: April 22, 2019, 01:18:45 PM
useful tip. my eyes got save Smiley)
Dark mode does not save your eyes and here is why: The depth of field effect.
When there is less light falling to your eye, depth of field is reduced. Cones (photo receptors) getting fatter and as the eye roams, the ciliary muscle must work to alter the curvature of your eye lenses, in order to to keep things in focus.
This implies that mostly dark screens appear to have better contrast (they do not as contrast is hardware dependent), the real effect is that it causes the eye to do more work than a mostly white screen because the amount of light entering the eye is less.
So in short term and especially over the long term a dark theme, relative to a light theme, will tire your ciliary muscle and cause your lens to stiffen sooner.
It is advised to use screen auto brightness apps and keep as much bright backgrounds as possible (for LCD screens).
"Urban legend" basically, a myth of potentially harmful nature.
396  Economy / Economics / Re: What should you do in bearish market? on: April 22, 2019, 11:20:22 AM
-snip-Waiting long enough is the key.
So basically patience, maybe it would also be a good idea to stop obsessing about bearish this and bullish that?
Just forget about price charts for a second, get a life, try to make some work and accept crypto for it, anything accept compulsive focusing your attention on market fluctuations. Set a goal for yourself and work towards it, worst thing that can happen is you equalizing your missed investments with earnings. IMO another, equally valid key is the piece of mind.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What do people think about bounty now? on: April 21, 2019, 09:38:30 PM
I can agree with that.. read & learn real skill do not waste your time on bountys..
Well yeah and there are those info about people being able to earn like 900 bucks for just one, luckily spotted project.
Saw it recently on my local board, dude was saying that it wasn't worth it any way, but 900... kinda lucky I guess.
As to my own experiences, yes it's an absolute waste of time. Following those campaign only gave me tons of spam in my box.
Like two years later, I'm still getting some random adds or updates, worst thing is that there is no opt-out option.
Waste of time and resources, in my case tidy and spam free mailbox as well.
398  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: April 21, 2019, 10:53:33 AM
I would like to ask @TheQuin this hypothetical question, is it OK to withdraw some bitcoins to one of my referrals addresses?
I'm asking this because quite some time ago, in my thread about freebitco giveaway, I have announced that if I'm ever going to win on lottery one forth of the winnings will be given to a random ref of mine. I don't want to fall under the suspicion of being some sort of abuser. Are they going to receive it properly and is it OK with the site TOS?
Maybe there is a better way of doing this, it isn't a regular share-back though.

If you were him, what would you have done? Huh
Probably the exact same thing. I would keep myself in the shadows, however anonymously active.
I always suspected he is still here, somewhere among ordinary members, observing and from time to time creating strange, lucrative and extraordinary offers. Obviously there is no proof per-say, only conjectures and speculations.
Used to be more of those suspiciously generous deals, that's a fact so maybe he is no longer active, but still lurking?

Afghanistan and Tunisia are adding Bitcoin into their sovereign reserves!
You have any source for this info? That would be in fact quite big.
Afghanistan may not be the best PR though... but it's not that important what they say, important is that they do.
It is of course about journalists and all those pseudo-crypto media.
