It won't reflect any reality, because you ask people directly interested with collecting crypto.
The idea of making google sheets, seems a lot better, but it would have to be slightly convoluted.
Make it about financial system consciousness and spread it as a economy science project on places like redit, facbook etc.
This way, your sample group could be much broader and the study itself could get recognised, even scientifically.

Italian Bob looks like a DOGE guy to me.
You just gave yourself a good example how pointless such survey is in this place.

265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: October 26, 2019, 06:34:51 PM
I have heard once, that things we read appear more realistic to us than the things we hear.
If you think about for a second, it may be hard to dismiss this notion. Written word is usually perfected with the massage its trying to sell you. If there are no language or grammar errors, if the orthography is fine then our shields have the chance to be lowered.
Well composed text, with attractive advertisement, posted or printed in physical form, can be quite powerful in the mind of the reader thanks to interworking of our psyche. In fact, this is your brain that is reading the massage to your conscious self, why would you be lying to yourself? No way, this must be true, so I will buy it twice... My conclusion; it happens so often, because people refrain themself from cross-referencing information.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unrealistic bounty allocations on: October 26, 2019, 08:26:43 AM
[snip]
Now, it can not be denied that there are bounties and their team who are good at marketing their project even to the point of using hypes and half-lies just to attract people into their respective sphere.
That's very generous when you say "some of them". As horrible as it sounds, I say that, unfortunately, most are in serious exaggeration of those half-truths and blunt lies. Market is so damn oversaturated with really pointless coins, that it boggles the mind.
Good stuff is buried under all this nonsense, to a point of people being unable to recognise it. Listed on exchanges or not, most new projects are gravitating towards "shitcoining" in a jiffy. Everywhere I look, stuff is being promoted with some ridiculous bounty and at the end of the day, it's all turning in to near worthless dust, that only pollute the wallet. My advice is, do not enclose yourself in the informational bobble of any project, this may save you some time at lest.

I really don't get your business plan.
How can you make more cash by gathering this and be paid in Bitcoin rather than fiat?
Do you want to trade waste copper for bitcoin?
It really doesn't matter what choice of payment you will use, buyers will look for the cheapest price, seller for the highest, and international stuff...the cost of transport will be killing you.

If I'm missing something in your plan, please elaborate!!
My impression was, that he is up to incorporate some sort of governmental eco-plan in to his business model.
That's what, in an essence, ecology became these days. It's not really about the toxicity of our biosphere but about making money out of taxpayers pockets... Small scale recycling, without the usage of crypto, may have a chance for bringing more than solo mining.
However it will have zero positive impact on the environment, just like you noticed, raw methods of separating resources from trash (fire), may even worsen our situation. Conclusion: pipe dream.

271  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2nd generation of banking is going digital on: October 23, 2019, 09:26:49 AM
No body will use the next generation banking, they will slowly cease to exist all together, and Libra PayPal would take their place for all the financial need for the true next gen.
That's a scary and dark future to be honest. Both mentioned by you scammed or will scam millions.
They are no different from usual banks. The whole satoshis idea was to make people be able to become banks of their own.
Having such possibility and power, would you still be willing to use someone else's bank? If so, why?
I think that 2nd generation banking means that we, the people are becoming institution-less banks.
Bitcoin is an asteroid and banks are like dinosaurs, they are meant to go extinct and nobody will miss after them.
Everything that is in the OP, this stuff about us not having the past or future without banking system, is a pure, modern myth.
I think we would be far, far further in our advancements, if we where bank-less from the day one. They did not help us at all, the have slowed us. They, the 14th century banking cartel, have robbed us of our ideas and labour, thus I say; let them die of starvation.
By starvation I mean, depravation of human mind, let's just forget this horrible idea and move on to the next stage.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your opinion about this investment strategy on: October 23, 2019, 06:38:35 AM
By looking at your portfolio, I'm having this impression that you are hoping to get some serious profits from those altcoins.
Diversification seems like a good idea, however we already know how alts are intertwined with the price of bitcoin.
BTC goes up and so the others, in my opinion such spread across the platforms, may be without significant meaning.
If you are going to note some income, you will, regardless of what coins you are holding and it's still going to be fiats-only profit.
I would suggest you to stick with the king. By doing just that, you are helping yourself in a way, because thanks to your regular purchases, price have the chance to move up much quicker. Maybe think about more popular, older alts, if at all.
Anyway good luck and keep yourself secured.

274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: October 22, 2019, 08:19:05 AM
I think that it's a great situation for us, the users. Competition is like a breeze of fresh air, always brings something beneficial for the entire sector. Whatever it will be some sort of DEX revolution, we, as users, will become just a bit more satisfied with the quality of crypto exchanging. This process of moving majority of the marketcap. on to DEX, may take some significant amount of time though. Thus, I have a feeling that 2020 will remain in the realm of old, well established CEX type market places. Nevertheless the end game, is going to be good for us. One question, why all those dex'es look so ugly?  Wink
275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin's Weak Points on: October 21, 2019, 08:06:39 AM
I would say that the biggest bitcoin or maybe even the entire blockchain tech. problem is irreversibility of transactions.
We live in a world full of imperfect people, this financial system that requires perfection, is naturally being perceived as user unfriendly.
This is of course a "designed flaw" or rather a feature than a bug. Wendell Phillips once have said; "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty", and I must say, this is also very true in the cryptocurrency world. However many, many people won't accept such burden, and so, the adoption will remain rather low. The only solution appears to be the global awakening, to the fraud of Breton-woods system.

277  Local / Alternatywne kryptowaluty / Re: Najciekawsze scamy ICO on: October 20, 2019, 09:06:24 PM
Długie ramię sprawiedliwości a niewidzialna ręka wolnego rynku.

Minął ponad rok, odkąd amerykańska Komisja Papierów Wartościowych i Giełd (SEC) rozpoczęła akcję nadzwyczajną przeciwko PlexCorps alias PlexCoin, w sprawie niezarejestrowanej oferty i sprzedaży papierów wartościowych o nazwie „PlexCoin” lub „Tokeny PlexCoin”.
Do czerwca 2018 r.

278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If You Died Tomorrow, What Would Happen To Your Crypto? on: October 20, 2019, 10:18:15 AM
I think we must keep our asset personal access into a private google sheet, in order that it will be viewed without any problems if in case there's a possible death happens to us. No one could stay longer in this temporary world, much better if we prepare ourselves, so having an alternate person second to you is a very secure way for your asset to be spend by your loved ones who still lived. If you're married, you should open that confidentiality to your spouse, because crypto asset is encrypted and cannot be touched without our prescence.
My o my, this post is most basic recipe for a disaster. Whatever you do, don't follow it's advice.
Placing your keys online? You cant be serious about this, google spreadsheet belongs to google, zero privacy is quarantined.
And this part about wife... cuckery. I could understand some arguments about kids and bank vault waiting for them but this, in modern day and age, is a pure risk, that have the potential to ruin a guy in the instance of divorce.
As of right now, my stuff goes with me, in to the hole (coins get buried) or fire, they will literally get burned  Grin
More to that, you all should be thanking me for having this stance, that's real altruism.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A million altcoins on: October 20, 2019, 09:41:18 AM
You have a good point if view mate, you have some points though. Like many people said this industry is still young and its too early to judge. Lets give these project some time but not a decade, if the same old S*** happen then we can coursing them to death if we wanted too, but as of now consider them they’re still on experimental phase.
Everything about our recent civilization is an experiment. One giant try and error and there is nothing particularly wrong with that.
I guess we already have the right to demand, at least some, additional effects from all those altcoins. If all they do is coping from the original idea, then I see no point in supporting this. We all have a good diagnosis here and yet nobody is able to propose sensible solution, cuz there is no good way out. Information is the key, people need to know, need to learn on how to recognise the naked king, that 99% of altcoins are. No way to enforce this without harming bitcoin itself, only spreading the word what's left.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / With this possibly upcoming crisis in mind... on: October 18, 2019, 09:46:11 PM
With this possibly upcoming crisis in mind, what you guys think about investing in stable coins standardised with fiats?
Is is even a thing, that they will sink like a stone, just like fiats will? Are there any mechanisms that can protect such stablecoins?
Or maybe, I have a misconception of the reasons for their existence and nobody is actually hoarding st.coins?
