941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It seems like Mark Zuckerberg doesn't believe in Blockchain technology on: January 31, 2018, 09:54:03 AM
A very good decision If you ask me. I've seen some of these ads before, using known faces like Floyd Myweather etc. just to make people invest while they know they can't deliver anything they promised. This shouldn't be taken the wrong way, Facebook is just trying to protect it users. People will trust crypto more now because they will get scammed less. As for mark's statement, I wouldn't be surprised If they start accepting bitcoin by the end of the year.
I'm having very similar opinion.
Besides let's face it, Facebook is a private company and they can do whatever they want on their servers.
There can't be even one mention about censorship of this or that, because of that simple fact.
Clearing the space of massive amounts of ICO related advertisement will only benefit the entire market. One thing is that people will start to do research on their own, second thing is, markets do not like vacuum. This whole "ban" will spawn some other big player, where such adds will be available. I'm not a big fan of social networks like facebook, but when it comes to "sense of business" they usually know what they are doing Smiley
ergo facecoin in 3...2...
942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Legolas Exchange Scam on: January 30, 2018, 09:17:58 PM
I just took some effort to look through your post history m8.
Initially all the numbers seem to add up but after closer look... you already know what I'm going to tell you.
Only during last stage you have managed to make qualifying amount of substantial posts.
Wapinter (campaign manager) strikes me as meticulous and fair-play oriented person, he just rejected most of your earlier one liners, pictures and few posts that where over 4/day rule. (this is all according to campaign rules and spreadsheet).
Now, I'm not defending Legolas, they in fact where late with first payments and those where slightly shorter than current(at that time) BTC to USD ratio. 3rd batch of payments has not been realised yet so you have a right to be mad, legolas is late again.
I think you should have waited a bit longer with the accusations.
943  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN's Level up challenge.-- UPDATED... on: January 30, 2018, 06:23:27 PM
Took me a while but I was finally able to scroll through post history of users who expressed interest in accepting TMAN's challenge.
Basically cry4crypto was in fact the only sane choice, however merited by OP so someone else would have to be picked.
Second place and a small merit bump, up to 90% required for level up, goes to:
Alone055 - this users was my choice.
Mostly for rebuking one person for posting in the wrong section. Hope that those merits won't go to waste Mr Alone055 Wink
There's still long way ahead of you. Your initial post few weeks ago where a lot better so...get back in to shape?

944  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bounty programs worth the time ?? on: January 30, 2018, 10:15:56 AM
Hey all
I'm a total newbie and put some $$$ into some ICOs i liked i see the all have bounty programs are they worth the effort? what are your typical returns on one vs the time taken ??
That would be very poor ratio, most of airdrops are dealt through google forms so it is easy and quite quick. Time investment is basically next to none. There is however the case of coins/tokens price after airdrops ends. Sure it can be huge but than massive dump from airdrop participants takes place, if you are late with transaction to the exchanges than... go figure. Lower valued coins will obviously have bad ratio but you can hold them for longer periods of time, without stress. Case of transaction cost is yet another thing to consider, taking erc20 tokens for example, each TX will consume some of the eth, having few different tokens may cost more in tx fee than those tokens themself. Aggravating and frustrating this could be, when some additional eth needs to purchased just to be able to send tokens of to the exchange (usually completely not worth the trouble).
One final thing is, that one have to wait weeks, sometimes months for most typical airdrop and some of them may never arrive! Fake ones, badly submitted form or simple human error can make you wait for nothing. I took part in quite a few airdrops, only few have had actually delivered. Of those few, one coin showed some good progress and value. Looking back I say that it was not worth my time and "hassle" with wallets, nodes etc.

946  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Japanese exchange Coincheck has been hacked on: January 29, 2018, 04:55:36 PM
Their hot wallet has been compromised and hackers gain access to it. No one can tell on how they are hacked and coincheck will never tell a single word on how it all happened.
O, I would say that they will have to tell this single word Smiley Following this article from Reuters
Quote
The FSA said it ordered Coincheck to submit a report on the hack and measures for preventing a recurrence by Feb. 13.
Coincheck will be lawfully obligated to spill some beans, how much of this report will be released to public knowledge is another question.
It's funny how mainstream media focuses on failures, crypto related news are usually bad news Roll Eyes

Daily airdrops would only create an artifical pump lifting the coins sky high and the the big fall would come after the end.
Not to mention network clogging. There is like 60+ thousand addresses registered[?] although most of them are empty (why devs keep them there any way?) yet still those that re qualified for the airdrop make significant amount. Transferring, usually small amount of founds everyday,
would definitely influence this network's capability.
Getting paid everday sounds good too.
for me! I think, 1% per day good than 5% per week!
But today, airdrop to member hold BTX coin start?
Yes, Airdrop is scheduled for today, although exact time is not known.
This was usually done at early hours, like in the morning but today is different. I Wonder why.

Is it only me or favicon has changed for everybody?
Looks like a tiny doge right? Does this mean something?
Was thinking its somehow connected with recent rumours about multi-coin support.
Judging from the post below, this is the source of those gossips. Nothing exciting as it turns out.

949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FLASHMONI - Blockchain-powered Fintech 2.0 on: January 28, 2018, 12:02:58 PM
Gold standard?
This is pretty powerful claim you have made there. It imminently caught my attention because of its very nature.
How can you marriage decentralization with central/worldwide standard of gold price?
How to anonymously request gold backed by your currency? What will be free market reaction to stiff(golden) price?
This is very unusual and I must say, that I'm a bit sceptical to standardisation of price in crypto-world.
More questions; Do you have a vault? What's in it? Air, because obviously you have no gold now?
If you however do have gold, than put it where your mouth is, so we can see it.
Post pics with bars stuffed in to a red shoe with timestamp and bitcointalk username. (but i understand you dont have it, via the infographic)
Don't get me wrong its not an attack, those are my valid concerns.

Where can I find the link to check and see if my wallet address is registered for airdrop?  Can't find it on the new website.

You just have to paste your regular BTC address at the box on top of this site -> http://insight.bitcore.cc/ It will show you all the details.

I just saw that registrations for weekly 5% airdrop where paused due to servers update.
Can we get some estimated time of reactivation? I just wanted to stake today, and Smiley maintenance...
Maybe it was asked before but I cant find any official info.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: "Project Money Back" - We are getting our money back, stolen by scam ICOs!!! on: January 27, 2018, 06:39:44 PM
it is impossible, how you do it, the point of this post, I do not understand, Yes there are a lot of deceived people and make with it anything
Its not about getting stolen founds per se.
This is just an idea of token/coin with vendetta as main theme. Source of income is still god old ICO.
In my opinion such theme is not so great unfortunately.
No actual tracking of scamers or those stolen money will take place. None of those thieves will face any consequences.
Rather @OP than konstant111:
Why such vengeful description of an ICO will not be successful? Because of negative massage it strikes right at buyers.
All people will notice is; the word scam, they will get scared, they will be having doubts.
Without some sort of mercenaries, sophisticated, spy grade equipment such endeavour is impossible and most people will know this, now what we are left with, is just another ICO. Loud and catchy phrases won't change that fact.
And where I do wish you huge, moon scale successes, there I cant see other purpose than your personal gains.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] HUT34 Project - Where A.I Does Business on: January 27, 2018, 04:00:31 PM
No bounties, no answers from the manager, no any info on bounties but still no scam alerts...What is going on, why do everybody forget about that project?
I didn't m8. For a little while I have had some contact with devs. Tasha from telegram group asked my some details regarding my account.
I think she wanted to check if any of the bounty hunters have some default green trust.
From this moment till now, this will be about a week, she stays silent, so as Tim and Peter(he ignored my questions entirely).
We are close to a month now, without promised bounty. Aggravating and it starts to stink IHMO.
I guess we have to make some noise, get some attention... and I hate that because we are not asking for free shit, we have fairly earned those bounty's.  Undecided  Huh  Sad Lame Hut34, so so very lame.

Above example makes me actual LOL, like every efing time Grin
Literal day-brightner yet obviously written with signature or activity bump agenda.

Now...who will decide if my potential merits given to such spam are legit?
Who has such power and authority to decide what poor poptok1 has to like and what he should not to like?
As you can see with above example, there still can be spam that could get likeable, there can be spam that is useful ( I know, no example here), life isn't black and white.  Likes terminator... wow, my dream job... where to apply?  Cool
-I need your posts, your merits. and your accounts password.

the whole idea of this thread was to give some noobs some exposure.. instead they just bitch and moan.. only one person has taken me up on it so far..
change is not scary, change is good - embrace the change and good things will happen!
Yeah, I'm a bit surprised by the lack of interest in this challenge.
Maybe it is due to "there can be only one" rule?
If so than I'm willing to merit* user that will score the second place in TMAN's competition.
This is of course if you are fine with it OP.?

*not to the full upgrade but rather 90% of points needed to level up (way to acknowledge the winner).

Link to the comment I made:

Any sensible person who reads the context of conversation would have done the same. I expect more Smerits for this.

Right, every commend these two guys make is on this topic: Check it out now,

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2822726.0

and don't forget to check the photo above.

A Hero Member he could have a chance to merit @shailkumari in his meaningful high quality post (his above post is more meaningful than this short post), why wouldn't he do that?

Let me tell you all the answer, that Hero Member enjoying that short post so he decide to give Merit even though that post is not quality at all.

I think you are focusing on other members to much. Those merits are theirs and they can do with them whatever they want.
It's like saying people on facebook what to like and what not to like. Its just pointless.
I think you have good intentions, you have focused yourself on spotting a fraudster. You will eventually find one, that's for sure but think about how much stress and false accusation you will cause in the process. You have the right to be bitter about new system, its much harder now because of community evaluation but you should retain yourself from throwing poison left and right.
Life isn't fair, never will be. Just embrace your best and when you show off this better side of yours here, I'm positive it will be appreciated.
Besides this is all a game, game of patience. Don't rage quit.
