721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The hard Truth on: July 22, 2018, 08:24:18 AM
Trading is not only a way of earning money and hardwork,
-snip-
Let's avoid of going ahead of ourself here. Calling trading hard work is and insult to hard working people.
Clicking your mouse across the screen is not what I can call "work" at all. Let's face it, its a privilege, a hobby, lucrative fun and pleasure. Before some IT specialists rant...get a life Smiley Computer is a toy, best toy ever invented but still.
The sooner one realises that all this computer science suppose to be fun, the sooner it will become easier source of income.
And this is my advice on the subject, make as much fun from it as possible. Play instead of working.

I'm willing to accept you, if you're okay with Sr. Member rates.
Thanks for reconsideration and sorry for breaking rule 16.  Tongue
Sig and avatar applied.
As the campaign is still in pending and I took the spot that was designed for lower rank in mind, I'm ready to waive it to proper rank member up until campaign official start. This of course is all at manager discretion.

Bump!
Does the bump mean that actual, real and active participants are highly required? If so than I'm reapplying, being completely aware of 9merit missing. Please look at your previously accepted member, imo opportunist without real forum engagement, merited as required yet missing for 48hours, did not kept to his promise, did not acknowledge managers request.  If this isn't a good example for merits being meaningless, I don't know what is.

725  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 17, 2018, 08:32:47 AM
I don't see this link to access "Account Bonus Requirements". Is this due to that I'm rolling without captcha already?
I like this idea though making RP consumption grow exponentially seems a little overdone. Does it have any limits?
You may face people that spent all their RP without knowing, unnecessary customer complains / tickets on the horizon.

Important (at least for me) feature is missing still, deleting inactive referrals from the lists. Can it be done somehow?
I presume than new version of the site will still use referral systems from before. IMO worth to implement such feature.
I like to have clarity and order with my accounts, inactive refs are a pain for me to watch/track Smiley

About the new contest... meh  Undecided  something for bottom-feeders please...

730  Economy / Economics / Re: Stop IMMO: What do experts think about bankers invading the crypto space? on: July 10, 2018, 06:23:57 AM
It's not a good thing, because bankers will not hesitate to manipulate things more than they are.
But the article says that this IMMO is just a private, inner blockchain for Rothschild family, to count and manage enormous riches they obtained over the years. Paragraph later they speculate that it will be entangled with real estate but I think that it is still with connection to private belongings of said family, not for commercial use.
Either way, we can't just say: STOP Mr Bankster, you are not allowed in to our world!  Roll Eyes
If they want this technology, they will have it. All we can do is to vote with our wallets. Just don't buy it.
BTW imagine how rich one has to be to take in to consideration the usage of blockchain accounting... crazy

732  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Future...? on: July 09, 2018, 12:31:45 PM
Slow transactions, fee cost, a possible attack of 51% in the future, big size of blockchain, the complexity of mining. Bitcoin has many shortcomings, I don't think that this is the future. The future is for improved altcoins.
Shortcomings you say... sure there are some, like with any technology. Still a lot of room for improvements.
Close to 10 years of development, lots of obstacles behind and probably more ahead but saying that some clones will take over is just wrong.
Most of the problems you mentioned are dealt through segwit anyway and I'm more than sure that more elegant solutions are already planned or at the least being thought about in dev headquarters. Have faith, without it nothing can prevail, not even gold.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of All The Coin Forks on: July 08, 2018, 02:56:10 PM
https://btcdiv.com Not sure if this one has ALL the forks but definitely quite a few.
Some cool statistics and options as well.
Note I did not tested all this sites features for claiming forked coins, yet they seem to be trusted, I used it for minor BTX amounts and it worked as described. Hope it will be useful for you.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Red Period but be Patient on: July 07, 2018, 07:13:16 PM
The market is cyclical. Sooner or later the price of bitcoin will again be more than $ 20,000. The main thing is to wait for this moment.
Optimist Smiley but its a good thing to meet one.
Don't you think we should be more about adoption and adversing of good, libertarian nature of bitcoin than the market humour?
I would be more happy if the next value rise came from broader usage and popularity of bitcoin than just the usual market fluctuations.
20K seems impossible today and there is more, are we actually ready for such big numbers? Segwit is still at the lower side, tx cost can get huge.
I like current "stable" period, obviously merer the better but can the network handle it?
735  Economy / Economics / Re: What if Zuckerberg paid us a share of FB advertising revenue? on: July 07, 2018, 06:36:28 PM
I would prefer them to pay taxes Smiley as they suppose to. Not evading taxes with fictional offshore offices.
Facebook and other big corporations often compensate their executives with stock options. When those options are exercised, the company is allowed to deduct from its taxable income the difference between the value of the shares and what the employee pays for the stock, even though the company doesn’t have to spend anything to provide the stock option to its executives.
Between 2010 and 2015, Facebook saved $5.8 billion in taxes through the stock option loophole
Source great read, recommended.

738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Bitcoin on: July 06, 2018, 10:20:44 AM
Hodl? Maybe, it has it own advantages but as a means of payment it is way, way worse than bitcoin.
Adoption for it is obviously much lesser than that of btc, that's from my own experience. I don't use it, never planed to.
Hell, you cant even make multiple recipient transaction out of the box, that's a big issue. Let's be honest, its not a coin, it is a token.
I would be extremely surprised if one day its value surpasses Satoshis wonder. I don't believe it it possible but who knows?
If you are wondering what to buy as a long term investment, my recommendation is to go with bitcoins, tokens are a temporary gizmo, people will stop buying them at some point and than etereum will loose all its advantages, along with value.
739  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! - $30,000 contest now live! on: July 04, 2018, 05:46:22 PM
@theQuin, for the site improements wetsuit wanted, could you add statistics timeframes for a certain period of time (like: today, this week, this month and all time maybe)? Just so we can see stats based on that period for wagering and lottery tickets etc.
What statistics do you have in mind? If you give me a bit more detail and I'll be happy to ask wetsuit to consider it.
Where more stats are always good thing to have, there we(me) could really appreciate some additional way for utilizing reward points.
I have this idea of making users be able to buy referrals with reward points.
There are two approaches, one could be that only active referral players can be bought (no gambling), the other obviously with gambling aspect, active and inactive refs ready for purchase.
The balance conundrum;
❤ 5 packages with different amount of refs inside. 2,5,10,20,50 refs.  (no idea about the package prizing)
❤ Only one "pack with refs" can be bought per week.
❤ Option to steal referrals from other users.
❤ Insurance against ref theft, to equalize chances - 1RP per 1 referral someone has. (example: I have 10 refs, my insurance costs me 10RP per
   week).
❤ five hearts for freebitco Smiley
