961  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexchange.io SCAM - signature campaign stopped paying. on: January 25, 2018, 02:26:01 PM
I must admit that you just wrote a beautiful poem, poptok1. Grin
Thank you, thank you,  Grin [ Roll Eyes looking faintly in general direction of +merit button  Wink ]
I think its time to close this dispute. I was credited my 80 bucks plus promised 20%.
Maybe I will wait for nexchange.io response, if they decide not to write anything here, I will lock this thread in 24hours.

Would like to thanks nexchange for doing what was right, (to be honest I wasn't expecting much, especially not the 20% compensation bonus) I hope other members where also equally credited for their service. I regret that all this had to happen, it was very easy campaign with good rates.
Changing trust feedback in few minutes.
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCH] | BLT | Bitcoin Lightning | Masternodes | PoS |BLT on: January 25, 2018, 01:44:50 PM
How to mine please?

I think it is no possible to mining this.
Yes, POW has ended. Its POS only now, for quite a while to be true. This all means that you can not mine this coin.
I have a different question though, regarding regular staking, not master-node.
Network weight is constantly changing/growing, my estimated staking times are growing everyday as well.
How can one stake without buying more in such situation? Its like chasing a rabbit Smiley Is it even possible?

About "necro merit"
-Is it possible to +1 posts from before merit system introduction?
-Does meriting posts made earlier than account(+1 giver) registration date possible?
-theymos said that typically one can not loose merit, what is the untypical than? strictly speaking - how to loose merit?

965  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexchange.io SCAM - signature campaign stopped paying. on: January 23, 2018, 12:42:03 PM
Hello.
It is true that we have yet issued payments.
We had some pressing changes that had to be done to the platform and we are short handed.
I will see to it that all payments are done today.
Additionally everyone will receive 20% more than their normal rate as a compensation for our error.
-snip-
Let's see how this goes.
Hi, there is additional delay.
Current estimate to adjourn this matter is EOF week.
Sorry again.

Roll Eyes nihil novi (lat. nothing new)
I will repost my "beautiful" scam poem, it was posted in self-moderated thread and I would like to preserve it. [ Wink for future generations Cheesy ]
At least nexchange expressed some sort of apologies, always nice, appreciated.
How do you like my poetry skills?

Is this the practice of this exchange?
I guess I have to draw a line...

The OP does not explain well how to stake POStoken with myetherwallet.com; how do we use the mint() function?

Do I just leave my coin at myetherwallet.com and it will stake automatically?
Have you followed this tutorial? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2110712.msg21934703#msg21934703
It explains quite well what to do to stake. One thing you must remember is that staking cost etereum, you need to have some in your wallet to be able to stake. Second way is to send yourself (to your won eth address) zero POS. easy as pie  Smiley still needs some eth though.
This is where I have some troubles, I don't own any eth... guess i need to buy some.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Attention Token (BAT): Why the Brave Browser will change advertising on: January 20, 2018, 01:16:38 PM
Worth to mention that right now brave browser is giving away 10BAT per account to test and sort of kick start the usage.
Those free tokens are not for withdraw though! One can only use them to support websites, blogs, video content creators etc. basically your favourite sites. Browser is equipped with ad blocking mechanism and the necessary and essential stuff. I think it looks OK.

They never bothered posting an ANN here or did they?
Go to -> brave.com <- if you want to test this.

It's Alive Smiley

Etereum address? I guess it will do as long as you are able to sign a massage with this address.
There is no need to post it here, although recommended, just to make sure you can do it properly.

Quoted for future reference.
970  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can Lightning network work decentralized ? on: January 19, 2018, 10:19:24 PM

It seems you don't fully understand what LN is. Simplified:

1. You post funding transaction on block chain (that locks up your money for the channel lifetime)
2. During channel lifetime (it can be a day, a month or even a year) you are free to exchange off-chain transactions with other LN users. Those TX are same BTC TX messages, however they never got posted to blockchain unless dispute occurs (in case of dispute, person who initiates premature channel closure gets punished) or channel naturally expires.
3. After channel closes - second - settlement transaction being posted to blockchain.
OK, this simplified explanation is very approachable. I have few questions though.

1. I'm opening my own LN channel. Funding it with 1BTC and the fee for it is 100satoshi(simplified)
1a. Need to send bitcoins to new address on specially prepared software?
2. During channel operation, my laptop with LNnode works as an escrow between people and blockchain.
2a. I would have to make my 100satoshis back, so I set[?] fixed[?] fee for people to pay.
3. Channel closes and my "mini block" is sent in to chain. Do I pay another fee for this?
3a. Channel closes because of dispute, will I get my 100sats back? What if disputer has less than 100sats?
Who pays for "unused" bitcoins TX, that will have to be returned from my channel to me?
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Stellar on: January 19, 2018, 10:57:42 AM
One word: Bifrost Update
I am holding Lumens since October solely because of this, it could be the ETH killer, i.e one-click ICO plus immediate access to all crypto and fiat.
Not to forget less than 1 sec for transaction and fees are ridiculous.
https://www.stellar.org/blog/september-news-stellar/
Seam like a good reason for hodling for just a little bit more.
If OP is not in need for urgent money than he should wait.
IMO this coin has quite bright future ahead, good features and exceptionally catchy name Smiley
Its really rings a bell when you hear it out loud. One could say that's just lame excuse and only features are what matters. I think otherwise.
I would say, hold it for 3-4more months. Don't be afraid if it drops, even drastically. I have had a good lesson with raiblocks last year, sold mine for literally fraction of today's value, kinda regret that decision. Embrace your patience OP, it will be worth it (or so I hope).
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pre-ICO] CoinStarter - Powering the future of coin based fundraising! 🚀🚀 on: January 18, 2018, 09:36:10 PM
Hi there.
Who is user Pali? Are you somehow connected with coinstarter team?
Why so late with the ANN? I guess better late than never. I'm little surprised by so little activity here.
Would completely miss this thread if not for this one Coinstarter.com (scam?) Anyway, welcome at bitcointalk.
Many questions but...
one thing is certain with coinstarter viz they love heavy graphics   Roll Eyes
Look at the website, welcome screen is super CPU demanding, now they are posting 800x600 gifs  Grin
Is this why we have those multi cores for?.. well maybe.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀[ANN][PoSToken]First PoS Smart Contract Token[Lending Platform Available] on: January 18, 2018, 09:18:43 AM
Trouble with starting PoS minting:
I have followed this tutorial, with no success.
After generating the transaction and clicking send, MEW shows me this error massage:
Quote
Insufficient funds. The account you tried to send transaction from does not have enough funds. Required 8200000000000000 and got: 0.
What am I doing wrong? I have carefully followed all the steps, copied all the info correctly, twice.
CoinAge found with calculator shows 3K+coinDays, so I assume it is sufficient.
Any ideas?

I will see to it that all payments are done today.

Hi, nice to finally hear from you! Let's just hope that this time, you will keep up to the promises.
Of course I will rename this thread IF you do, as well as change my trust feedback under your account.
It is kinda sad that we are in contact inside this board, not your thread.
All what was needed to be done was; -to keep your participants updated, -post explanations about your situation.
I'm sure most of us would understand but you choose otherwise. Thats in a past now.

Let's see how this goes.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $176 Bitcoin on GDAX? on: January 17, 2018, 12:32:56 PM
Someone got super rich  Cool Or rather is was a glitch. Question usually is, was it accidental? ( probably yes, in this case)
You would be surprised how often those kind of bugs are being displayed on regulated/official market floors.
Sometimes it causes panic but usually nobody is treating such sudden spikes seriously.
It was 16 days ago that Nikkei 225 was showing charts from the past, software error mixed the dates from 2016.
What would happen if markets where open that day?
978  Economy / Services / Re: 🚀[Signature Campaign] 🚀LEGOLAS Exchange 200 Members Required | [CFNP] on: January 16, 2018, 06:37:09 PM
Payments were supposed to be made by Monday, and it is Tuesday evening already and there is no update from the team. Manager says he is in touch with the team but we don't see any response coming from them. We can't blame the manager as he clearly stated in the opening post that payments will be done by the team and he has nothing to do with them. So maybe we should open a thread in Scam Accusations against the team, or should we still wait till tomorrow?
Maybe you could prepare appropriate thread and lock it for 24 hours?
Tomorrow just post us link here so we could act accordingly. This way we may prevent some spam in the scam accusation section.
I'm also positive that manager will lock this topic after your link.
If this will turn in to scam than it will be the second signature hoax I was a "victim" in recent 14 days...
I will take no hostages  Grin this time.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SegWit2X] Together we will see a business through. on: January 16, 2018, 04:38:36 PM
I thought according to the DEV deposits would be turned on at YoBit on the 15th.  What is up with that?
Let me answer this with one word for you: Yobit  Roll Eyes
What did you expect? They where always a bit on the shady side.
The higher the price the bigger cut of trading fee yobit gets ergo no surprise they rather keep it closed till all genuine forked coins are consumed in one way or the other. Can't blame them though, I would act in a similar fashion.
I would say that, as soon as prices across the platforms correlate with each other, yobit will enable deposits.
980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: SOLARIS logo design contest on: January 16, 2018, 03:27:09 PM
I think I will join this contest with those two iterations of the same logo I came with.
Hope you will like my idea of combining Lem's trickster planet with your requirements.
Love that book BTW, first Lem's novel that I have read. Recommended.

Both are presented in reduced resolution and some watermarks.
