Still no answer or money.

I joined https://www.crypto.st and, on the 12 October, I sent to the address the site gave me (6dkgejkWhV8ZZU2UMb3Lwkfby2cPCm9Mwx) 377.8193952 FTC (confirm here http://ftc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/address/6dkgejkWhV8ZZU2UMb3Lwkfby2cPCm9Mwx ). Since the coins didn't show up, I wrote them 3 emails to their support address support@crypto.st and another message using their web support application. I received no answer. The money is still on the balance of the address, but even after 41 days it didn't arrive on my crypto.st balance. edit: As expected, it was just a question of little attention to the support system. My balance was updated with the deposit and the subsequent withdraw worked fine. There was no scam.

They should allow people to close their accounts and should send their bitcoins to an external address indicated by the customer. Keeping their customers bitcoins is stealling, pure and simple.

I also ceased trading at Gox and Bitstamp.

Basically, they are blackmailing customers: give me copies of your personal documents or say goodbye to your money. Paypal and Gox do the same thing. The only correct way to implement a new KYC policy is to freeze the selling of bitcoins, but still allow bitcoin withdraws and the buying of bitcoins with fiat in order to withdraw.

Why pay 0.5% commission and have to verify, when you can trade at Bitstamp for 0.35% and keep unverified (if you don't transfer fiat): Bitfinex.

You should state more clearly on your first post that you have a free warning service too. I only understood that after reading your features comparison. The "Starter accounts are free and can create unlimited market price point and market volume point alerts." doesn't explain that "starter accounts" will receive free warning emails.

What price are you willing to pay for the bitcoins?

There is already at least a complain against this exchange (use google translator): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=282237.0Besides, if they accept paypal/alipay or will accept credit cards for deposits, they will be at risk because of all the chargebacks.

A first important step would be to offer an English version. Without that, advertising to non-Chinese is mostly meaningless.
It might be too soon to conclude that they are scammers.

I dislike very much their rates, therefore I never used them. But BTC-e has a link to their site stating that they have more than 34897 USD in BTC-e. So, I think they are legitimate.

Of course, the new escrow system would have to have a feedback thread here and would have a hard desert to cross before acquiring reputation of trustworthy. Meanwhile, you could make a deposit with one of the trustworthy members of the forum in order to guaranty that your future escrow system is honest.

If you could implement an escrow system with cheap fees (under 0.5%), that could be useful. A place only to insert ads won't add much to btctalk.
