21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UK threatens to shut down BitConnect on: November 15, 2017, 04:05:24 AM
That would be the best thing ever. I am probably going to get a lot of hate from bitconnet fans for this. But this pomsI needs to be contained before it spoils everything for everyone. I hope people wake up. Im just glad I never fell into their trap. I hope investors get out while you can but unfortunately when it all scrambles, a whole lot of people will get banned.

I completely agree. It's shit like this that will ruin it for all the actual legit projects out there.

These people should have been shut down ages ago.

I'm also disappointed in the cryptocurrency community for actually falling for this crap. We are meant to be self policing here.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QRL - Announcing the Quantum Resistant Ledger on: November 15, 2017, 04:02:50 AM
I'm Holding long term! I see a huge potential in this project and they have a highly professional team up to the task of becoming one of the best blockchains!! Just wait for the mainnet and then moon! Just buy the dips and keep accumulating!
You'll be waiting to the moon another ten to fifteen years. LoL

That's quite ok! 10-15 years in crypto land is about 12 months. Smiley
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: November 02, 2017, 02:09:52 PM

Unfortunately that does not detail the following:

"Circulating Supply" This is the amount of live coins, as opposed to the total max supply. These are sometimes the same value, but often can be wildly different.

"Emission rate" This is something that is normally detailed on the coins website, unfortunately the Electroneum website is very light on details.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: November 02, 2017, 01:47:52 PM
How many Electroneum are in circulation and what is the emission rate?
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: July 25, 2017, 02:56:12 AM
Is this the only place for dev? Doesn't seem like a lot of progress is being made.

https://github.com/elastic-coin

The only repo with activity is the litewallet which is mostly a fork of NXT codebase.

What are peoples thoughts on this? Will development pick up? It just seems like this coin is slowing down.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] æternity blockchain ∞ GET AE TOKEN ∞ [PoS x PoW | Smart Contracts] on: July 08, 2017, 06:17:41 AM
This is a very long time to get an ERC20 token going? Is this project dead?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 08, 2017, 06:12:14 AM
Tony, any comment about the reason the network isn't working so well?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (ICO closed!) on: July 05, 2017, 01:13:06 PM
When will the live network be launched.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Minexcoin - A new era of payments (ICO started!) on: June 06, 2017, 05:11:18 PM
What will the ticker be? And when will the coin be launched?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Particl is a decentralized privacy platform built for global P2P eCommerce #PART on: June 05, 2017, 12:50:15 PM
Waiting for exchange.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: June 02, 2017, 08:54:45 AM
How exactly does proof of signature work? I tried reading the OP and the website and still don't understand, can someone dumb it down for me?
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - The first Self Mining Smart Contract - NOW TRADING NEW ROADMAP on: June 01, 2017, 05:06:41 AM
How does the contract pay itself to mine coins?

I read the whitepaper, all makes sense now.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 01, 2017, 04:31:26 AM
I love this coin, I really do.

To all these idiots complaining about the distribution method. What are you talking about?Huh Byteballs distribution method and dev fund size are the most reasonable in this space.

Can't believe the level of idiot on this forum.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UBQ] Ubiq - Smart Contracts For An Automated World on: June 01, 2017, 04:27:22 AM
Ubiq is the new Ethereum, you should actually read and pay attention, do some research for yourself. People aren't your personal servants if you don't understand or know what is going on, neither if you have no idea what it is.

Hmmm, I just re-read my message and in no way am I treating people like my personal servant(s). You need to totally chill mate.

I did some research but nothing major jumped out at me that makes this the new Ethereum.

You can't just clone a coin and say that this is the new coin.

Ethereum is the king and if a coin is going to aim for the king they better have a really good reason for it.

I can't find that reason here.

This is a good coin, has some decent devs, yes. Could it be a $1 billion coin one day? Sure, it's happening more and more.

Ethereum is trying to be the new Bitcoin, do you realise how much effort that has taken? How many hundreds of developers had to come together to even have a shot of taking on Bitcoin.

They built multiple clients around an entire new model to do that.

For a coin to do the same to Ethereum would also require a similar amount of staggering work.

I have no doubt UBIQ is heading places, and you can all be very rich without aiming for the king.

But to say something is the new Ethereum needs some backing up, and you, Duomo, don't have it. You have insults and nothing else.

Duomo, go away and let an adult respond.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UBQ] Ubiq - Smart Contracts For An Automated World on: June 01, 2017, 12:29:05 AM
What makes UBIQ different to Ethereum, honestly asking here I am interesting in buying some but need a good reason. Smiley

I have read some of this thread but still can't pick out the big differentiators.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 25, 2017, 02:09:47 PM
I am currently busy with Byteball and have the following unanswered questions. I would be grateful if someone could answer this.

1) What exactly is the use case behind the profiles and attestations? Notarization?

2) The witnesses define the main chain. Does this mean that the main chain is rebuilt when witnesses change?

3) Are newly distributed bytes directly referenced to the genesis block?

4) How many Blackbytes will there be in total? Like Bytes 10^5?

Good questions, I hope Tony chimes in!

3) Are newly distributed bytes directly referenced to the genesis block?

Every Byteball was created at genesis, so Tony keeps them all in a single address. That is where he distributes them from.

See here:

https://byteball.fr/Top100ByteballRichest.html

The top address is the one containing all remaining Byteballs.

4) How many Blackbytes will there be in total? Like Bytes 10^5?

From the original post:

Quote
money supply of blackbytes is 2.1111 times more than that of bytes
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 23, 2017, 12:29:11 PM
......But a whale who owns 1000 BTCs or 10,000 or 100,000 would never be able or be willing to spread all his BTCs on so many different addresses and go through the process of linking them all to the bot.......

This can easily be automated.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 23, 2017, 12:24:56 PM
did anyone mentioned about this news?
Jaxx is going to add byteball on its roadmap !!

https://www.ethnews.com/digital-wallet-announces-integration-with-industry-leaders?platform=hootsuite

I still want Byteballs and blackbytes on my Ledger Nano S Sad
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: May 21, 2017, 02:19:26 AM
Where can I buy XEL?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: May 21, 2017, 02:17:44 AM
this does not look right....so am I missing an emmision rate or something as the market cam is $250M

Yes the market cap is very high.

See http://iotaprice.com/

Now believers in IOTA think the marketcap is tiny and has a lot of room to grow.

I think a little different, even if I want more IOTA my plan is to invest elsewhere and use those funds to accumulate IOTA.

Investing into $250mm gives me a tiny slice of that pie.

Invest into something else that goes up 10x before IOTA goes up 10x, and I have more IOTA.

Of course it's a risk.

Also personally I think that Byteball is not a competitor for IOTA as Byteball isn't really aiming at IoT.

IOTA devs need to look at Raiden on Ethereum as the competition they need to defeat, because that is a beast.

Good luck!
