1141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Blog post- Bitcoin could "Spike" 200% in a 24-hour period? on: May 14, 2013, 06:59:39 AM
I am skeptical, but bloody oath, I'm more than happy for this to happen  Cool
1142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Flagged already? Seriously? What's the fucking problem? on: May 13, 2013, 12:02:57 PM

I'm so confused.
1143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mt gox account stolen, I lost all my money on: May 13, 2013, 11:57:18 AM
That's a bloody blow to the gut.

Bad luck. At the end of the day.. All forms of hacking have to be due to some sort of fault by the victim. I guess this could be seen as a some what expensive lesson.

I hope you don't give up on Bitcoin though due to this.
1144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey - I'm new on: May 13, 2013, 11:56:07 AM
Welcome.. Once you go Bitcoin you never go back  Cool
1145  Economy / Gambling / Re: mem's BITCOIN GAMBLING LIST v2 on: May 13, 2013, 11:52:10 AM
I believe the credibility of your gambling list was definitely heavily influenced by the fact that the thread had been around for quite a long time, and as a result had accumulated a decent amount of views & replies.

Starting a new thread will take away from this, and lead to you unfairly sabotaging your rightful credibility.

Why not just edit your original thread completely starting from scratch?

After relaxing and watching the latest episode of GoT I have decided you are correct, thank you for the voice of reason.

Additionally I shall cease my current antagonisms and restore the list to an a-political state, I cannot expect casinos to abstain from strong political point of views if I do not do so myself. In cases that I find extreme, eg the blog posts by micrea of MPEx I shall simply place an asterix next to said entries. There willbe no fouls simply for a different view point of my own, the same for casinos (ie satoshipoker) run by unpleasant people.

A difference of opinion or a personal dislike is not a good reason to invalidate the list, which should only be for honest casino operations and warning players against scams in the most literal sense.

Regarding lottery and wager sites, well we have recently seen how something good can turn to shit rather quickly with betsofbitco.in, bitbet.is and bitlotto.
Due to the nature of these sites (holding player funds for X amount of time(, i can only see one way forward:
* sites with an outstanding record and operation time of ~6 months shall make the list, no asterix, italics, bold etc.
* new sites which have taken all steps within reason to validate themselves but require an event to complete shall also be added, but with an asterix noting that this site has not completed a full round and been verified and or has not been running for longer than 6 moths with an outstanding record.

With these two points In mind I strongly recommend players only betting what they can afford to lose regardless of the bets outcome and arrive at their own conclusion for the honesty of the site. Many non casino operations have had to step through similar hoops of gaining players trust.

So I shall be re-opening "vintage mems list" trolls have at it, it is and will be a good lesson for me to be able to continue doing something I feel has worth despite a few vocal detractors.

consider this thread purely for spitballing ideas for streamlining the new revision of mems list and of course trolling me.

Well this is a pleasant ending to the short lived drama. Great to see.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a new leader for JKC on: May 13, 2013, 11:49:18 AM
I can provide the community with JKC mining pools.

DDOS proof.

I can offer bounties to create a nice user interface for these pools and get things going.

Time is huge on my hands.

You've got a big red scammer tag..

I have a feeling people won't take nicely to the fact an alt coin is ran by someone labelled as that.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will another currency overtake bitcoins? on: May 13, 2013, 11:16:21 AM
I think it's definitely a viable situation to keep in mind.

However, if so, it's not going to be any time soon. At this rate at least (unless people in high places are secretly working on something to take over with at this very moment Tongue)
1148  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: May 13, 2013, 11:14:06 AM
Yep.  Painful Sad

Wow, that's a massive hit to take. My condolences. Martingale method from 1 BTC... Lots to gain.. Lots to lose..

I hope your financials weren't damaged too hard.
1149  Other / Off-topic / Re: Over 385,000 BTC worth of money stolen by hackers! on: May 13, 2013, 10:52:25 AM
The article makes it quite clear that this exploit can be carried out again.. Scary stuff.

When I first saw the title I thought someone or some website had been stolen of 385k actual Bitcoins.. That woulda been scary haha.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] yacoin: yet another altcoin. Release in 24 hours. on: May 13, 2013, 10:47:32 AM
yay! a botnet friendly coin!

Excuse me if I'm wrong, but aren't botnets a bunch of hacked computers? Probably not the best thing to be talking about here I'd think Tongue
1151  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitPimp on: May 13, 2013, 10:45:30 AM
Your welcome Smiley best of luck

1154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: OMG! Won in 32 BTC in Satoshi after losing few bets!! on: May 13, 2013, 10:29:09 AM
People who brag about any form of gambling achievement always end up having a bad time Tongue
1155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MtGox makes more money the higher the price of bitcoin - conflict of interests? on: May 13, 2013, 10:27:28 AM
It's all proportional I think you'll find..

As price goes up, people will be buying less Bitcoins on average. If the volume stays the same after this, that means their is more market action. I guess that's a direct link to Bitcoin going up though...

I think your thinking of it in the completely wrong manner however.
1156  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price do you see Bitcoins reaching? on: May 13, 2013, 10:21:07 AM
Your OP is slightly confusing on many levels..

But if it were to replace the US dollar?? Then I'd say around a million dollars is reasonable. That's implying $22T worth of currency once we finish mining everything.

But lets be serious here...
1157  Economy / Speculation / Re: = Fontas = BTC price chart from the future. on: May 13, 2013, 10:18:42 AM
Well if it's made you decent money thus far, can't really have a go at the poor bloke..

Well done on your profits. I'm no professional, but I think it would be foolish to believe your invincible due to this technique, so be very careful Tongue For all you know you could have been simply lucky eh.
1158  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiPoker.org - 0.4 BTC Freeroll Promotion - Lowest Rake - 10 BTC Jackpot on: May 13, 2013, 10:16:00 AM
This unnecessary drama's contribute to the reason why Gambling is so frowned upon in the Bitcoin community...

Can't you all keep your cool or take it to PM.

Personally, Mem, I think you're making too big of deals out of small things recently, but that's not my place to talk.
