Just a thought - since you're planning on starting a mining farm, maybe you would consider converting btc spent on pcb orders into "mining contracts"?

Additionally, I'll include a free USB Block Eruptor with every two cards purchased.

Interested, but will this even make money?

77% diff increase every month for a year is way, way beyond the realm of possibility.  You should really consider using MM.

Everybody can check here what is the status of the orders: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=277198.0

There is no movement around deliveries, for anybody, so I highly doubt that our chips are on the way.

Agreed.  It sounds like the soonest our chips will ship is tomorrow.  Bitsyncom wouldn't be offering refunds for orders that have already shipped.

The only solution to this is a simple vote on the matter. Majority wins.
I agree completely with hacko.bg - vote is the best that we can do.

It doesn't look like we're going to get that chance.  As I said before, the refund window is only open for another day or so and Steve doesn't appear to be interested.
Where did you read this?

It's littered throughout several of the group buy threads, bitsyncom posts, avalon emails, etc.

Here's a good synopsis at coindesk though:  http://www.coindesk.com/avalon-asic-customer-bitcoin-refunds-delivery-delays/

We have been said that the chips will be delivered september but we are at the beginning of September atleast avalon should have said something.

Avalon has said plenty.  You should read up a bit.  Here's one place to start.

Is this purchase gonna be affected with all these avalon problems?  We need your guidance Steve! Smiley
Hi there,
Problem is that if i don't have chips i cannot go on with the work. So, somewhat yes, the deliveries are going to be affected. But not to worry, everybody will be served.

This is the comment to which I was referring a few posts above.  Could you please expand on this?  Do you have an estimate for how long the work is going take after you receive the chips?
I am guessing that 1 week to assebmle all miners which has been ordered and 1 week to test them! equals total 2 WEEK on my mind.

Fantastic, if that turns out to be the case.  I was under the impression there was actual development/debugging left to do.

It's my first time with blades.

Just remember, no running with them....  Cheesy
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 02, 2013, 03:20:27 PM
Mine's where other unpleasant, resolved, troubles..... .....I understand you! Smiley

But I clearly remember that KNCminer stated as part of their business rules, since their start, that they would NOT accept payments for pre-orders like other companies did...... Also they stated that they would send an payment invoice to un-payed pre-orders, one week before the last usable day to accomplish the full payment.. An that would happen once they could define theis shipping time-line (& obviously their production rate/capability...) ...  ... ... ...
That was part of KNCminer Network Protection & Customers Protection Program since may 2013 as thy started publicly...

AND EXACTLY FOR THAT REASON I PLACED MY PRE-ORDERS and still haven't payed for them... ...So, I'm waiting for an "official" answer from KNC support (emailed them)!!! Wink

If I remeber well also this, but unsure here, they stated also that they would keep your order queue position even if you add more machines on your order later...
Till now, I have received all KNC emails since my account on their site was created, in may, and nothing mentioned any order cancellation... ...my orders are still up and with the same progressive numbers!!!

If you still remember, when KNC "appeared", they were tagged as scammers... (..and someone really stupd still do it..) ... A bunch of us never think that and continued/continue to support KNC and invest in their business, accordingly to our-own capability! Wink  --I'm sorry to had recall tis times to KNCminer, please forgive me! These days are definitely BEHIND !!! Grin Grin Grin

Kind Regards,
-anykeywhy-

It doesn't matter how many winky faces, smilies, etc.. you put in your post. Every order that isn't a wire transfer gets put in the Queue based on when it is paid. The wire transfers get a week I believe.

Your "Pre-orders" are useless, please don't come in here assuming or tricking people into otherwise. We don't need a whole bunch of stupid people believing you and grabbing their pitchforks.

I'M SORRY... YOU BIG KING OF MY ASSHOLE @Bargraphics. I really love your little-dickie-way of telling things to people... DOT.

I've QUICKLY received the OFFICIAL KNCminer reply (they rock!) with all infos I need. My big Thanks go out to everybody who wasted his time to update a not-synced guy like me!!! Grin Grin Grin

..and put some smiley in your b/w posts!!! Grin Grin Grin

Kind Regards!
-anykeywhy-

Wowsers!  Overly defensive, mysterious use of capitalization, slight butchering of the English language, goofy overuse of emoticons...I'd swear we've finally found out where Legendster went, but I would have expected him to lash out at me vs Bar.
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 02, 2013, 02:19:13 PM
...so, quite all of you are saying that I should finalize my two june KNC pre-orders (1 Jupiter + 1 Saturn), both #15xx orders ;P ;P ;P ?!?!?!?!?!

It isn't right?!?!? Grin

cheers!!! Smiley
-anykeywhy-

Unfilled pre-orders are not valid anymore. You had a bit over a week to do that in June.

My orders are still valid and in the order number queue... (plus: as KNC stated, they also have can satisfy other added orders in-time..)
If you have any SURE/VERIFIED news, please report it back and I will thank you! Wink

cheers! Smiley

As far as i know you have to pay the full order for it to be shipped, and the que is based on paid orders.
Thank god ive paid for mine already

I've contacted KNC to solve any doubt!!! Wink They stated that they would alert customers when purchased goods payment should become DONE, then give us one week to finalize the payment!!!  Wink

I'll report back as soon as I will receive reply from KNC!!!
cheers! Smiley

I had an early June preorder and because I was away out of country I missed the payment date by 2-3 days....and sorry I was told to reorder and my order would be placed at the end of the line. I had an order in the first few hundred...if they honour your unpaid June preorder...myself and I'm sure many others will lose their shit on them.

It says clearly on their site: "Please note that production and shipping queue is based on full payment, not order date."

I'm guessing there won't be as many smiley faces in his follow-up post.   Cry

I agree with Skrubalov. For those who don't know or don't care about the details, the bitcoin price is always following the difficulty. Furthermore, the introduction of new technology always boosts the prices higher (see the timeframe when the first ASICs came into game by Avalon). That said, i can "almost" promise you that the bitcoin price will not stay at $140 - $150, it will climb even higher. So when you draw the line after mining for one month, you will get almost the same amount of money. Right now, with the difficulty of 65 million, the price of the BTC counterbalances marvelously the difficulty, making the ROI exactly 3 months for one full klondike miner together with chips! Not a single day more than i have calculated back in May while starting the Group-Buy.
So my advice is DON'T PANIC! Never panic, because it doesn't solve anything. Everything is going to be fine and i promise i'll do my best to make it be ok for you guys.

Difficulty goes to 86+ million in a little over a day.  Also, didn't you previously say you were waiting on chips just to finish development?  Or are the boards ready to pop chips onto them?

I wish I shared your optimism.  Perhaps you'd like to buy me out?

The calculations in the above post were estimated using a difficulty of 85M. If that still holds a ROI of 3 months, i don't see the point of being nervous....

Are you saying you expect to ship miners before the next (post ~85M) difficulty jump?
nvm I get what you're saying.  I don't necessarily agree though, since the time to positive ROI is not going to grow linearly.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to understand.  The reason for any perceived "panic" or "nervousness" on my part is because the window for obtaining a refund ends on Wednesday, I believe.  It sounds like you've already made the call to see this through though.  So, I guess I'll just buckle up.

*Edit:  My offer to be bought out still stands.  How can you pass up a sweet opportunity like that?  Don't be nervous...   Wink Tongue

Are the boards fully payed. Do you keep the funds in btc or are they payed/converted. How much can we get refunded.

I asked him personally ;

Code:
Hi,
It's a bit late as i have paid for the components already..

this is the answer i guess all things are paid!

Still, I'd be willing to eat the cost of boards/components if we can get the chips refunded.  That would still be the more profitable route at this point.

Steve, please weigh in and let us know our options.

As a batch 1 customer, I agree a refund seems like the best option at this point.

I just don't want that decision to cost Steve anything.
