661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 22, 2017, 05:12:14 AM
I can not agree that 1080Ti is beaten by 1070's in Equihash. For some reasons Sols per card are related very close with retail prices (at least USA prices) so:
1070 - 475 sols average = 475 USD
1070Ti - 530 sols overclocked = 530 USD
1080 - I can squeeze 570 average (592 max) sols. This is the most sweet spot I think.
1080Ti - 750 Sols = 700-800 USD
So basically they are all really close to each other

Almost correct with few exceptions
1070 can be bought @  for 420-430  - -https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500408&cm_re=gtx1070-_-14-500-408-_-Product  or https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127947&cm_re=gtx1070-_-14-127-947-_-Product

Whats Going on i have windows 10 and i have a gtx 980ti 6gb msi HELP

Well, seems to me you have started sg miner for amd card on NVidia card.
You have to use claymor eth miner or eth miner for NVidia cards
Then it will work nicely
663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Bitcoin FORK? on: November 21, 2017, 04:56:57 PM
basically for this almost same coin with the same algorithm, but wit some changes from original coin
for example there is the coin XSH - originally it has block time say 1 min, but because of this there were a lot of bad block
so dev decided to make block time 3 min - that day fork was born.  Cool
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many PSUs do you have to get to run 6 or more VEGA? on: November 21, 2017, 08:29:48 AM

This ^^

Could do 6 with a single server PSU. More than 6 possible if you get the 1500W psus.

Yes, I was talking for good server psu like 2KW -2.4KW
For example ibm BB2000, or hp 2450
They all cost almost same, but you have huge power!!
665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DeepOnion mining pools on: November 21, 2017, 08:25:44 AM
Does anyone know good DeepOnion mining pools?

No idea, cause deep onion useless to mine by GPU.
It can be mined well by asics only
So if you want buy it - just mine some coins like smart, btx,zec - sell them and then buy deep onion for what you earned from sale.
666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 21, 2017, 07:32:18 AM

yes, but seems no impact on the market right now
maybe a little later there will be something, but now buy are empty, so no one wants to sell that cheap they want!
so I guess we need to wait, cryptopia is the best market for btx now

Btx now it is very dark horse, it is not clear yet how it will be going after the pump.
So for now it has been stabilzwd @ 300-350 level, but how it will next Huh? Up or down to 250?
667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many PSUs do you have to get to run 6 or more VEGA? on: November 21, 2017, 07:19:54 AM
The suckers require two pcie vga connectors each. I've got 4 Vegas running on 2 evga 750W psus, but want to add another two. The 1000W evga only has 6 vga ports (which would allow for 3 vega) so 1000+750 would only allow for 5 vega.

Otherwise I have to get a third 750 PSU to support the next 2 vegas. But something doesn't seem right about that.

Even the Cosairs only have 6 vga connectors.

How are all you managing all the connector needs?

Easy man, just buy the server PSU from ebay for $ 50 -70
And add there with your solderer as many connectors as required
668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 21, 2017, 04:15:23 AM
Hi All
Any idea what would be causing MSI Afterburner power graph fluctuations on one card?
2x are running at stable 90%, 1 is running at flat 73%, while a 4th is running at 74-43% fluctuations.
Dying riser maybe?

It might be the dyiing riser, yes.
But there might another reason as well, for example shortage of the power,  and even not enough cpu to load all cards.
You have to play with the settings, lower or go higher with PL level on all cards and see how things changing.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why GTX 1060? on: November 21, 2017, 04:10:25 AM
hi guys,

im curious why every buys gtx 1060, why not rx 580 nor gtx 1070 nor r9 390 etc. and also lots of people bought 3gb of it, why not 6gb?

if u help me to understand this, i ll be glad, thank you all.

The reason is simple, if you are to mine ZEC, ZEN, HUSH, then 3 GB of mem, is enough, and the price of 1060 3GB is very low, so it is the most profitable purchase as of now.
and there is no sacrifice in performance comparing to 6GB version ( well almost)
So people take such cards, because of the most favourable price/performance ratio at the moment
670  Local / Новости / Re: Пять стран, запретивших Bitcoin on: November 20, 2017, 05:44:02 AM
Понятно, что государства хотят контроль в сфере крипты.
И этот запрет не гарантирует отсутствие каких-либо действий, а скорее, наоборот.
Думаю, этот список еще пополнится.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's Mining Electroneum? on: November 20, 2017, 05:31:38 AM
Well with GTX 1060 it is better to mine other coins, smart, vivo, innova for example
cause people with VEGAs are mining Electroneum with 2000 h/s per card. Or people with nicehash.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Check for an ICO Hype on: November 20, 2017, 05:00:47 AM
With all these ICOs popping up like mushrooms all looking very similar, things can get overwhelmingly confusing.

One pattern I noticed was that the bigger the hype, the larger the return is.

How do you guys check an ICO's hype?

Personally, I do the following:

- Check bitcointalk announcement page
- Check ICO FB page and look at engagement (likes can be bought so not really useful)
- Check Youtube and filter by viewcount

Any other tips?

I try to collect free airdrops only and that is all
so I never go into into ICO with real cash cause a lot of them looks like SCAM and it is real hard to understand if they are not scam
673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows wont boot with more than 4 GPU's (Nvidia) on: November 20, 2017, 04:37:27 AM
I am trying to get windows to boot with more than 4 GPU's, they are 1070ti's. As soon as i plug the 5th in it does not boot up fully and get a black screen. It posts past the bios so it aint a motherboard problem, it also boots up if i un-install all the drivers, but as soon as i install the drivers it crashes on the 5th one.

Any idea's anyone?

I have updated windows 10 and upgraded the bios, which is a Asrock b350 pro4.

Thanks

You have to follow procedure
1. unplug al gpu except one
2. go to bios, turn every option you'll find for PICE-E GEN - to GEN2
3. turn off all unused peripherals like sound, com ports, sata ports, usb ports
4. turn on 4G encoding
5. save, restart load to windows. shutdown
6. install all cards, boot, install drives for gpu
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 20, 2017, 04:04:05 AM
yes) nvidia cards are really more convenient now if your choice is to mine alts
it is more balanced rather amd. but vega is the monster for cryptonight algo!

Nowadays, more and more optimized miners are entering AMD GPU, so I think that soon they will not have any significant difference between NVidea and AMD GPU.
Take, for example, the optimized miner LYRYV2, which is faster than the analogue nvidia

What miner ? Because my AMD still suck big time with Lyra2REv2. The only things I mine with them since last summer is Ethash. I tried CryptoNight  and a few others but always came back to Ethash.
I think this is the miner you guyz talking about
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2360168.0
but I might be wrong and there is another one, more powerful?

Oh yeah, that's what I meant by this miner!
It's very cool to increase performance.
If it were possible to optimize the main miners in this way, then we would get a very decent performance gain on many algorithms.
I hope somebody will ever do it
675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 Ti and 1070 somethings off? on: November 20, 2017, 03:42:41 AM
Finally fixed my rig and moved some cards around and wanted to ask a question.

My 3x 1070 MSI Gaming X are running at around 2012 MHz for all three but my EVGA 1070ti is only showing 1860 MHz is this normal?  Screenshot attached (first shot is 1070 second is 1070 ti.
https://imgur.com/a/mohKV

My 1070 ti is running directly off the MB and my 1070s are on risers.  The Ti often times is about 502 Sols/s but sometimes drops to the mid to low 470 sol/s making it perform worse than the 1070.  Is this normal or does something look off, I didnt expect the Ti to perform worse than the 1070s?

All cards are different in firmware and chips.
Perhaps your mci cards have a higher level tdp of fbios, so even at pl 75 they can overclock faster
It is worth trying to make your evga pl85
And see if your card can take the frequency of 2000

and here we go today, another try to join airdrop!
I hope the luck will on my side today!

and we are waiting for a better exchange, yes http://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-ONEX.htm  as a starting one it is ok, but we need a better one!
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1050Ti "Budget" 6card rig, worth doing? on: November 19, 2017, 11:40:55 AM
Before i start buying parts, wanted to see if anyone has done this and how they've gotten on?

Purely a budget/hobby/1st rig project. Im fully aware im not gonna be pulling in £20/day with it.

Aiming for:

Z270 mobo - 3 cards in x16 and 3 on risers (trio rig style)
Celeron cpu
4gb
nvOC running from USB stick
1 750w or 850w PSU could be fine for 6 75w 1050Ti cards?

I will be aiming to mine 100% Equihash coins.

Dude, you have a normal choice of motherboard, power supply and so on.
Start better with 1060 or 1070 and gradually as you will be able to connect more video cards just add them.
That is,1050 ti too weak cards to build on them a large system.
678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows update Armageddon on: November 19, 2017, 11:28:52 AM
Ok let's talk about new windows update problems.. Grin

I make it easier. After I install the windows, I turn off all window tracking, all updates.
I completely shut down windows access to the Internet and I have no problems. Everything works stably

And I advise you also.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 19, 2017, 11:25:09 AM
The bitcore kernel is underperforming on the 1080ti, I think I can add 20% if I buy a test card.
Support my work so I can buy a card please.

Yes, that would not be bad, because I have a rig of four 1080 ti. And an increase of 20-25% means that I would actually get a fifth  for free.
Цhich is very, very cool.
sp, let's work, we are waiting for version 5  Wink

thank you for the chance to participate in the airdrop!
by the way, it is very difficult to earn 10k coins, I hope reward will be huge )
