801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Tribus - Denarius (DNR) - Nvidia GPU Mining Instructions on: September 14, 2017, 05:53:20 PM
because of a very high fluctuation with difficulty it is very unreliable to predict how much DNR a miner can mine..
one second diff say 400-500 and the 2000-2500 with a harsh drop of incoming coins

there are 3 types of miner avail - ccminer 2.2.1 with cuda 9 support - this is now a fastest one of free miners
then there comes CWI - this for CWI pools only and it was about 20% faster regular ccminer based on cuda 8, but with cuda 9, CWI miner slower for 10-15%
and there is SP Modded miner - which is about 20% faster the ccminer 2.2.1 with cuda 9

the time for mine DNR. hm, ,maybe, cause it is 3 times cheaper then before..

I wonder where we can find SP mod tribus for free  Roll Eyes

thank you for sharing, was not easy to spot one  Roll Eyes

so I checked the list, I'm in and this quite fortunate for me!
and the question I wanted to ask, how many weeks the SECOND WAVE will be lasting? sorry if that question was asked already, I honestly read last couple of pages, but did not see the answer   Cry

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1060 vs 1070 mining rig on: September 13, 2017, 09:14:18 AM
better take 1080ti   Cool
cause it is very close to performance of 2x 1070 for a cheaper price and you will save on other stuff like MB, RAM, CPU, SSD

so in case for the farm consist from 6 x 1080ti - you'll need 12x 1070 and x 2 more for all that stuff case, ram an so on
also, important question is the place for the farm, 1080ti will just need 2x less

seriously, I have 3 pcs x 1080ti and I want to take another 1 unit when right time will will come to sell my SIGT  Cool
for power supply if you are ok on electronics grab server PSU and combine it with any cheap PSU for 300W for you cpu and mb
or you may buy modded server PSU - it is ready just plug and go
804  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safety of wallets on: September 12, 2017, 09:41:09 AM
there is a saying  : no pain, no gain.

let me rephrase it : no btc, no pain  Grin
just sell this s*it and put all earned $$$ to the bank. now they are safe.

but seriously, man, do you have quite a lot of BTC to ask questions how to hold it?  I'm sure that if you'll choose to keep your crypto on exchange - just use the google auth for  your safety, and those idea for splitting - is just wise. Put some of your BTC to PC without internet and back it up often , the rest for trading on exchanges

I guess that is good enough
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: September 12, 2017, 09:04:54 AM
well, since I'm the IT engineer I heard about cryptocurrency and Bitcoins as papa of all the all from differnt IT news magazines and sites
it was a very interesting reading but I did not point too much attention into it.. it was kinda fun to read, but I did not thinking to start mining myself

but.. everything changes right ? so as of know I'm into the cryptoworld and I'm ok with it!
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -431110+ BTX Claimed on: September 09, 2017, 08:46:04 AM
What is the best BTX miner for 1080ti cards ?

check a couple page back, some one posted the fastest one, SP modded miner for BTX

this is the man. I believe Quote from: Saverenergy on September 05, 2017, 08:32:54 PM

so check the messages from this dude and in date range 5-6 september and you should be fine in searching what you need

that miner delivers about 30-32 mhs/s on 1080ti, depends on your hardware and overclock

but with current difficulty of BTX.. I do not know, man..

808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Only 210 Watts from my mining rig?! on: September 07, 2017, 09:57:24 AM
I just finished setting up my mining rig with a couple 1060s and a 1070. I have the Asrock Pro BTC R2 motherboard with Seasonic 860 WATTS Platinum PSU. Everything is plugged in, but according to my Kill A Watt it's only pulling 210 watts? Is that normal? I was expecting a bit more power usage.

ps- all my cards are clocked at +152 core, +707 memory, 77% power limit.

well it's quite a small wattage you have here, something is wrong!
according to my observation for my cards GTX1060 6GB with 80PL +175 core - 502memory eats about 92-95W
and GTX 1070 8GB with PL 85 +130 core -502 memory easily soaps about 135-140W

so, let's assume the other thing you have like CPU, HDD and so on, eats about 150W in totall

and if we summarize everything we comes to this figures : 150W for system + 2x95W for 1060 and 140W for 1070

here we are,  your system has to consume about = 470-480W, but nor 210W!!
something wrong here, and what about performance wise? what is your has-rates while mining ZEC, for example?
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: September 07, 2017, 03:32:41 AM
well, I'm not using 8x 1080tis because I have only 3 units, but let's calculate
I have Palit 1080ti JetStream each of then is running on 106PL and when mining on myr-gr algo I'm hitting about 133-135Mhs from each of them
and miner shows about 260-265W for cards @ 1800 -1820 Mhz @ 55-60C depending on the card

and I'm using a server PSU 2200W I purchased from ebay for 74$, so I have used only a half capacity of that power unit

so if I were you, I would bought 2400W HP server PSU,  so it has power left for your needs like mb and so on
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex gripe-Account Closed, No refund of coins on: September 07, 2017, 01:51:16 AM
I have a problem w/ Poloniex that doesn't have anything to do with any problems they had in the past. This is CURRENT!

I got hacked. Someone ported my cellphone number and gained access. I saw their activity and I FROZE MY ACCOUNT. That was August 1, 2017.

I fixed the problems. I have 2FA, Account Keys, all sorts of things set up to block entry. Coinbase & Bittrex have restored access to my accounts. Yahoo & Google have restored access to the affected email accounts.

I keep sending msgs to Poloniex. Not a single peep have I received from them. I don't even want an account with them any more. Let me in long enough to sell my assets and transfer them out of there, and I'm gone! I just want my resources returned to me. Heck, don't let me in. Xfer the assets. Sell the assets and send the proceeds to me. Just give me what's in that frozen account.

They've always had lousy customer service. After 2 months I was still waiting for Level 3 Verification when the hack occurred. I only have about $4KUSD in the account because it had become my least favorite exchange.

Frankly, it would even be OK not to get the assets back if I could find an effective way to tell other people NEVER TO USE POLONIEX!!! $4KUSD is such a drop in the bucket compared to what I've done with altcoins the last 6 months. But what a fricken nightmare trying to do anything with them. That's no way to run a decent, fair, doing-right-to-your-clients business.

Anybody interested in starting a class-action suit against them? Figuring out a way to shut them down? I'm sorry, but I'm pissed. I been wronged!

wow! that's a huge loss for sure!
I wondering have you send emails there only? or maybe try to call them as well if you are in us?
that my help to to something

I have a feeling that poloniex not playing clean when they froze ZEC wallet, while other exchanges were working good and smooth with ZEC. really fishy.

well never wants to be in your shoes man, I feel sorry!
just the only option remains - get in touch with a real man from there, and then I guess it will start moving.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 8th of 40 Rounds on: September 05, 2017, 05:50:54 PM

Lol maybe not 100x, that would be a market cap of 1.2B$ Smiley but it might go a bit higher, maybe 3-10$.  But short term price doesn't matter anyways. More the opposite, i need the lowest price possible right now!

well, why not? Smiley

I hear a rumor that Deeper told to some on deeponion's forum that DeepOnion will be listed on a new exchange very soon
and I'm quite sure this listing will have a skyrocketing effect on the price for our little onion

mmm, just imagine.. huge exchange, BTC, BTC just everywhere  and all of them wants to by deep onion from us for x100 the current price..

come on, buy now, while the price is right!!!  Roll Eyes

812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR Integrated ⚡ No ICO 🚀 FREE Airdrops 🚀 8th of 40 Rounds on: September 05, 2017, 05:20:40 PM
Well, I just bought some more Onions on the price dip, and that should make up for the airdrop I missed last week. But now we have a big forest fire here that might effect my posting this week, so hopefully the fire fighters can get the fires under control and keep every body safe.

right now it is a very right time to buy deeponion from nova, you may hold it there to sell 100% higer or... you may send them to your wallet and leave onions in dark place without light, where they will start making little onions just after 24 hours  Roll Eyes

so it is your right which way you go. I think that by winter Deep Onion will become x100 to the current price, so I will be buying more and making little ones in the wallet

813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 05, 2017, 08:03:36 AM
Nothing wrong or abnormal going on our end with the Signatum wallet, so not a wallet issue. Maybe some failed hardware or something else?

that was the thing I was afraid off, check the nova - they are working fine with signatum as well
hmm..  I really had bad feelings about it!

I would be happy, if i'm wrong, cause I'm holing some SIGT myself..

and I also noticed one thing, if the coin have frozen wallet, usually the price going up a bit, cause there is no fresh coins income.. but in the case for signatum - quite the opposite I see..

strange.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 05, 2017, 07:00:11 AM
Tired of exchanges with wallets always in maintenance? Check out altcoinexchange. Made for traders by traders.
Exchanges should be made by devs competent in blockchain technology and security, not but traders. Just sayin' Grin

I think Mikanoshi is right here and a have to add something, if some people will decide to mane a great and successful product despite idea they need money
so I'm sure that behind any big exchanges  there are whales with money.
After money came = then it comes to administrators and technician works to make thing organize and smooth running. And do not forget a support team and lawyers!!!

So for cryptopia there are 2 options :

Option a. if it something huge broke inside the chain ( then why other exchanges working good)
Option b. they "broke" it for a purpose! Remember in July poloniex broke ZEC wallet, they were "maintaning" it for 2 weeks or so. And other exchanges were working fine with ZEC, but when Poloniex was not working, exchange rate for ZEC just fell down twice!

So I'm afraid that can be a option B here. Remember, rate was about 2k when those problems with a wallet came in, and now... below 1000..
coincidence?  hmmm
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AIRDROP][NEW] 5.000 EXCHY | For BITCOINTALK User on: September 05, 2017, 05:50:34 AM
well, taking into account a warning, which we have pinned nearly in all bitcointalk forum about a very sophisticated malvare and fishing attempts do you think your proposal looks alright?

I do not think so!
1. you have intentionally have used the word AIRDROP, but the text inside the topic and your offer has nothing to do with the AIRPROP

2. you are asking to send small amount of waves to your account. This is very strange! What does mean "small amount"? why there is no firm and correct price? Say, the one may send you 10waves, and receive 20 token? or something like this. Very suspicious!

3. first send and then you'll got in return some coins. or may be not. there is no table. exchange rate, nothing. looks very fishy to me

for me looks like a try to collect for a bunch small transactions and flee, that is my opinion

so I'll pass

816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It there any known altcoins? on: September 04, 2017, 02:37:17 PM

If you are really seeking for the ranking then the link given would already shows on what OP is seeking. Seems like he didnt tend to response peoples answer here. This is somehow confusing on what thing he does mean. Popular altcoins? There are lots if you do really see on marketcap or maybe hes pertaining on famous ones as of now .

well, it is actually very easy to know which altcoin is trending now and people have trust with it
My suggestion would be : just go to big exchange site, take for a example, Poloniex.com
go the  trading section and the just sort the coins on volume, you'll see then which coins are popular now
if you do such monitoring on regular basis, soon you'll learn enough about altcoins  Roll Eyes

and to make thing easy - I will name a few, just to reference - ETH, ZEC, LTC

818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine - Cryptopia on: September 03, 2017, 12:15:05 PM

Lessening volume in any market is a sign of consolidation reaching its latter stages.  Trading slows down to a slow trickle.  This does NOT necessarily mean anything bad.  In fact, in stocks, it often means sellers are content to hold while buyers have not yet seen anything to spur them into action.

Once this period of stasis has been reached, a small increase in buying can serve as a catalyst to spark a rally.

The lack of volume after a definite move in one direction (in this case, a down leg after the big spike in price) often means a pending reversal.  Chart readers know this and have for centuries.  Often, double and triple bottoms form and on the last dip the volume dries up considerably before it turns back up.

an interesting observation you have made, thank you!
I'm completely agree with you on Signatum's future. Yes, we do not know for sure when there will be a pump and till what figures in would jump, but I'm quite confident it would be. Look, what we have :

1. active Development team, they have a whitepaper and they strictly follow it ( at least try to follow)
2. new, young coin with a new algo : that is something, already! right? For a long time we have a coin with some differences at least from other coins Smiley
3. if we look for some other coins, take graphs, for example for veltor, chaincoin, DGB, XVG - you may see that before pump, there is always a dump. always.

so what are mine actions would be : I will hold previous coins I bough 1400 satochi, then I will try to mine SIGT if the diff falls below 4k
and I will sell SIGNATUM once it hit 5$ for the coin.

yeap, that the plan!
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.2 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: September 03, 2017, 11:36:38 AM
Sorry for the newbie question: Is there a ccminer with XEVAN algo? ty.

I heard some folks were talking about it on some telegram channel and even there were some hashrates!
but if I'm not mistaken, those hashrates were not so impressive and it was clear that with some CPU power it would be more wise to mine Xevan, especially with AMD Risen processors.

Hm let me search my telgram and I will try to find it

Oh, my bad , i found it, but there were discussion about mining with ccminer for other cpu algos, like YesScrypt and NeoScrypt
I do not have linlk , but I'm pretty sure in case you're interested in this as well, you may google it using these key phrases  ccMiner from Djm3I YesScrypt
the hashrates were like 1000 sol/s per gtx1060
820  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to encash bitcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 07:30:24 AM
yes, you may use poloniex - this one on of the hugest exchanges

then there is a https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/, it is very easy to use
you may try hitbtc.com
and bittrex.com

take your time, go to each exchange, register there ( important, use a very strong password), check interface of exchange and then decide which one you want to use

also you may google for some local exchanges in your country, search it here localbitcoins.com
but  be careful, trade with people who has 100% approval only

cheers
