I know the pcb is 100x100mm big and 2mm thick, the heatsink here is 80x90 mm and 35 mm high. How big is the assembled pcb?
Do not forget for the 200x100 heat sink caring 2 K16 boards I thought that heatsink was a previous version because only a price for the k16 heatsink was propagated. But how thick is the assembled pcb? Maybe with attached cables if this changes the height? I have to measure it tomorrow. About 15 mm, but I'll give you correct number tommorow. I did not make price for this as far it can change in time. We could also go for 4 k16 in a row made form 400mm extruded profile. Let's wait what revisions K16 will get |

How will this impact the price of the miners? They are cheap, so paying a little VAT is not that bad (although I hate funding the government) but maybe it's for the better that everything is legal... We'll clear this when the time comes. The VAT registered company is because there are some company owners from EU in the group |

I think we would have to consider the possibility of alternatives or change package.
You can also use the PIC16LF1459-E/SS. The only difference appears to be wider operating temperature range. (-55C to +125C v.s. -55C to +85C) BkkCoins has also promised a QFN version of the board which will use PIC16LF1459-I/ML. But you're right, the PIC is going to be the big bottleneck in this operation. With the number of chips ordered from Avalon, if only half get used in K16s, we're looking at a need for 14k+ PICs. Yes, thanks for replys. I ordered some PIC16LF1459-E/SS , two weeks time for shipping. Probably in this moment for assembly "ordered" boards. needed 6.000 PICs in next 2 month. Just wait with big orders ... Everything happens - new boards dims, new controler etc. Just wait positive tests from BKK |
