I dont know what your waiting for me for? I said i dont know how to do the patch. If someone gives it to me ill apply it but thats it

I will make a Merged Mining Hard Fork Patch. If its accepted then i will add Qubitcoin to PolyMyr if not then thats your choice

i disagree ....

May i ask why? Do you not want your coin to have an increase in network security?. Do you not want your coin to have better profitability?. Do you not want more devs helping your coin with essential features?

Any news about polymyr?

is it in beta stage yet?
Been having server issues. Got SHA256 Mining Working well (and fixed hashrates and round share counters) Last night. Today will hopefully be scrypt and hopefully an algo a day. (Once thats done then its just the merged mining backend needs setting up and connecting to our final count of coind's and then we're good to test.

(Waiting on Qubitcoin's decision on MM)

Would people here like me to hard fork Qubitcoin so it will be merged mined on Myriadcoin's PolyMYR Pool so Qubitcoin has all the qubit security of myriad

Thanks once again FrictionlessCoin for taking the time to speak with us,

Even if the miner subsidy rates go to zero, you will still need to merge mine.  Once you stop mining, the coin goes dead and is unable to process new transactions.

I understand that point, was not suggesting otherwise.  Simply that code for the creation of new coins (how many etc) need no be included in future releases of IXC code (really soon now).

It's all nice to want to have your own development and be able to move forward in development, unfortunately all this takes a lot of effort.   It takes a lot more than just upgrading the code base.  The 0.8.6 has been sitting in the repository for months now, yet it takes effort to get the miners to adopt it.   With a new 0.9.2 client, we'll have to go through the entire cycle again.  It isn't easy.

Ok FrictionlessCoin, you know way more about this than I, concede that writing a new, really good, better than ever merged mining source code file against the BitCoin 9.2 code base is going to be allot of work.

However, my thinking is this:  In every other regard IXCoin == BitCoin, its just now running out of time to mine new coins, so no matter the version #, be it 3.x, 8.x, 9.x or 22?, compiling the newest BitCoin code base, while changing the error messages text, logo and scripts to build for the different platforms gives us the new IXCoin code.  What am I missing?

Alright, so I left the node running all night with PERSIST set to true, and with the proper bootstrap addresses... But it still tells me that it's "downloading shares" when I try connecting my miner. I have a feeling that it's not downloading anything at all...

When I set PERSIST to false, I am able to have my own running node on my own p2pool network, but that's useless because I want to be connected with my peers.

I had this same problem when I was setting up a node for Kimocoin, but I had the person running the only node wipe the sharechain and then I was able to easily connect. I don't know if that's an option with the current circumstances, though. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! I've been sifting through code and googling my brains out, and it's hard to find anything...

I guess I'll leave it for now, and I'll go and get to work on reviving the Scrypt network. Later I will need a person who is willing to help out by testing the three Githubs that I will be forking (scrypt, groestl, sha) to make sure that other nodes will be able to connect to my node and work as a pool. Please PM me if interested. And if you can, it would be very helpful if you could leave a node up permanently (say if its the algo you mine on... 0% fees for you!); it would be a great help!

Looking forward to Ahmed/someone sorting out the Groestl problem. Why it's not downloading the sharechain is beyond me.

swap the bootstrap nodes with my pool url's

sorry guys I have been away from the internet for a few days I will be contacting ahmed and finding out what he has done as it would be better to get e.exchangers patch finished so that the POS reward gets changed than to keep the current POS settings

the reason the blocks have been slow is due to me slowing down the pow miner I had on it so that we could keep the hardfork at block 100,000

Where is exchanger his "few day fix" has been dragging on for moths without being finished. same as with all others so far. its time you teamed up with somebody else like Ahmed
I'm not looking to team up with anyone. My time is spent mostly on myriadcoin which is why i was unwilling to fix ADT after we were paid and our code checked. However If Zack Want's he can get CryptoRepairCrew to help with anything needed(Which i am a part of, it just makes it easier as there isnt reliance on a single person) It's also the reason why we were able to complete the job fast and to with updates and proper commits unlike many other authors e.g. exchanger

Proof of Stake time will be 15 days ( every 21600 blocks )

Does it mean I have to wait 15 days for the first PoS payout or I misunderstand smthng?
15 days for the first PoS payout. (This time starts from the day you transferred the coins into your wallet)

I see. And how often after the first payout will I get payouts? Right now I can see that either nobody's staking, or the payouts are appearing very infrequently. If it's the second then maybe we should change the PoS algorythm so the network become more-less alive?

That was what the hard fork was for. However since e.exchanger never turned up with any code i cant implement what he did and i'd rather not do it myself as im not used to PoS coins. (I've only ever made PoW coins, ADTv2 was my first PoS one) Maybe someone can ask Tranz or another dev to implement it

No problem at all. I'll look into getting some seed nodes up and a list of nodes so that everyone can sync better. sadly after that i have to leave it to you guys as im focused on myriadcoin

This will reserve 999999999 ADT, to NOT stake, so unless your balance is higher than this it will effectively disable staking.
[...]
Fixed that by adding in collususcoin's fix Wink

Do you have a link to the fix? I look after another coin and I seem to remember some sort of IsInitialSync flag (or similar) which prevented staking, but that part of the source hasn't changed for a good year. Does the fix go further or did ADT simply not have this conditional in the first place?
ADT didnt have it in the first place
