Ha the frontend is finished i have links to show to people who i trust. the backend is 95% completed it just needs a bit more work to make it run with little to no maintenance at all

So this is your private pool and not a community effort ? Why is it promoted as a community project ?? Are we talking decentralized pool or centralized, private, profit-for-ahmed pool ? You say its almost done but you cant give a deadline ?

Correct this is a private pool. Its promoted as a community project as it is one which has and will still be taking input from various community members. I dont do deadlines. Deadlines when missed lead to price slumps, broken promises, loss of trust and loss of community members. An example of this is eMunie, Scharmbeck and the UNOCS scam.

Ok, so its just vaporware. A project without a deadline, what is this high school ? GTFO.

Vaporware is a term in the computer industry that describes a product, typically computer hardware or software, that is announced to the general public but is never actually released nor officially cancelled.
Vaporware is also a term sometimes used to describe events that are announced or predicted, never officially cancelled, but never intended to happen. The term also generally applies to a product that is
announced months or years before its release, and for which public development details are lacking.

We shall see.

Is MAMMMP pool active ?

frontend is ready for beta. backend is currently being worked on

So you've been shouting MAMAMP for a couple of months now, and all you've done is put up a couple nice pics on the frontend while no real coding has been done in the backend to support merged mining ? Tell us where the problem is, share the workload with the coders here!!

its working if you know exactly how to troubleshoot but not as intended, at the moment its very buggy

I agree right now the old client is working far better hopefully the new client will be better after a few small changes Smiley

yep, are improvements being made?

Yes iam working on it and iam also open for suggestions. The only problem was i didn't have the original (unchanged) source code to work on all i had was source available on github which is  too messed up as we all can see, but i assure everyone i will be doing it good and soon.  Smiley

excuse me? what exactly is messed up there? all the source along with all commits are there for you to see

Any source code for the change?

Not a very good one from the looks of things. i requested a a pull request to made to the original repo so we can see whats been changed and as expected nothing. Great way to get other's opinion on source code changes zack...

sorry but you messed with the original ADT v2 that you posted on github and were willing to make changes even if I didn't agree with them so I got it uploaded to my github account instead

Dont lie. the only change i made was the addition of an automated build script. I didnt accept tx42's changes so STFU

the release dates for MAMMP will never be announced in advance. i wouldnt allow it for 1 reason. Hyping. what if the project isnt completed for some unforseen circumstances? id be accused of pumping MYR

Ahmed

Ahmed,  I don't need exact date, it is obvious that some bug can happen. But I rather would like to see the roadmap: "this feauture we will do in june, this and this - in july" etc., so we can be sure, that the work is going on and there is nothing to worry about. This will be very useful information for new followers of MYR too. Is it possible? Or MAMMP or something else is so huge and hard-to-develop technology so you are not sure if it will be ready in summer 2014 or  even in 2015??

Just understand, we appreciate your work very much. But we can not be blind believers, and even if we are, such believe will not help us to involve new members into our community. But some concrete information about status of current developments will help.

Okay what i can reveal is i am actively working on it (6+ hours per day, 7 days per week) so far i believe its around 70% ready for a private beta

It is futile for me to continue when my words fall upon deaf ears.
My simple request remains here in the forum. Whether I will now seems to be irrelevant.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cognitive_biases

Can you state for me concisely in a sentence the general point that you are trying to make? Things have gone all over the place the last few pages.

Is your point: Multipools will continue to kill the exchange rate value of Myriadcoin and ruin mining for Scrypt while working towards ruining mining for Skein, Myr-Groestl, and Qubit?
==========================
3 lines to sum up below

1 player can mine 9+ blocks in a row of the same algo in under 30 seconds. Come on its simple.

This problem will not go away it will get worse.

it is not coins being dumped that is the issue.  Stop saying that were talking about price.

====================
=======================
=========================
MPs look like they are going to continue to gain higher and higher %s of any huge difficulty coin. Is it not possible that 1 pool may have 2x the hashing power of even Litecoin. It is possible. Foodies the frozen block chain resulting from shorter diff retarg lookbacks can be worked around. It just takes a little imagination and a community sharing ideas. When you say this is being considered ... where on IRC? its so hard to keep track of comments why not have a large discussion on reddit where we can turn off our computers and come back to see what happened.

Look here another example tell me which coin that has forked in this hypothetical situation is MYR and which is another coin being targeted by a massive multipool. Which one is MYR and which one is another coin. XXX= any algo within the coin (scrypt for the other coin only)

XXX-XXX-XXX- Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt- in 30 seconds forking the coin difficulty eventually catches up and is high
XXX-XXX-XXX- Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt-Scrypt- in 30 seconds forking the coin difficulty eventually catches up and is high

Do you see now? Myriad now has had its main advantage temporarily negated. Think about it.... Please??

Please just re read the last however many pages and try to see this escalating problem and how severe we truly believe it is. So far no answer has proven ... no answer specifically addressing this root problem has even really been given.

Instead its "mark my words" or misunderstanding or arguing about the specific semantics of some example being given to try to help you guys to undersand the root. The example does not matter it is speculation but the problem here is not imaginary nor harmless the blockchain serves as proof.

i cant explain this any simpler... i could have written a book by now with all the posts about 1 simple thing. before any response is given RE-read the posts ... the answer to whatever point you may bring up trying to dissuade us from trying to brainstorm a solution is most likely there. Seriously. That is why we are so frustrated we keep having to explain the same thing over and over again and then after that another point is made that has already been answered without a valid or any counter argument.

Please just read it over again with an open mind.

Responding immediately as before ... confirms these words have fallen on deaf ears.

I dont want to type the same unresolved point anymore I just cant.

Seriously? we've discussed this a dozen times. there are no issues here besides the diff falling low enough for a multipool to hit it. That is it. We have one of the best diff adjustment algorithm's to date.

The only issue with the diff algo is that it favours a lower diff to get more blocks mined rather than a higher diff resulting in the network being stuck at a high diff.
