Как? Я не нашел. На битстампе нажимаешь withdraw -> ripple, выбираешь биткойны в списке валют, забиваешь свой риппл адрес, тебе приходит туда платёжка от битстампа в биткойнах, ты её можешь обменять на рипплы в ихнем онлайн кошельке. Это типа Ъ риппл способ. Это вобще деньгами трудно навать. Это что-то типа смазки, по которой деньги текут.
Это и не деньги. Это платежная сеть. Имхо, может дополнить биткоин, как быстрое средство перевода, без подтверждений. Очень смущает наличие узлов, которые по сути являются гарантами. Можно конечно и без них, но оооочень неудобно. Как я понял, по задумкам OpenCoin, в светлом будущем узел будет находиться в каждом гастрономе галактики. Типа как у Western Union, только ещё круче. А потом, когда все обзаведутся трастами, узлы станут не нужны. |

По сути я поменял битки на рипплы через баксы. Так же наверное делали и многие другие.
А зачем? Можно же напрямую? Я конечно не уверен что эти события связаны (закуп рипплов и падение битка), но вероятность этого есть. Базовая идея рипплов гораздо лучше заходит среднестатистическому юзеру, чем идея битков. Она проще и понятней. Если не вникать Блин, я себе чуть мозг не сломал, вникая в ихние доки. Половину так и не понял. Вроде как они пытаются профиксить косяки биткойнов, что замечательно. Но рипплы - это не замена биткойнам и другим валютам. Это вобще деньгами трудно навать. In US everybody pays for what he uses. Owner owns property, he pays property tax. Tenant uses utilities, he pays utility bills. When tenant moves in, he pays security deposit to owner. This usually covers damage or debt he leaves after moving out. If not, they will sue him. I thought MtGox is a Japan based company?
Yes, they are registered in Japan. But they have a lot of business in US. Maybe it is very different in different countries, maybe in the US people get a lot of "official letters"

На бистамп баксы ещё завести нужно. Если живёшь в штатах, например, проще в штатах купить биткойны, потом их обменять на рипплы на битстампе. В любом случае, чтоб обвалить курс биткойна к баксу, нужно резко начать сливать биткойны за баксы. Рипплы тут не при делах. |

They are partially US, partially Japanese. And except those pieces of mail you mentioned don't work for them as proof of residence.
Did they tell you what exactly they consider as proof of residence? It sounds silly to me to accept utility bills and not accept bank or government mail as a proof. |

If nobody knows about your bitcons, just do not bother with taxes. In US you need to pay taxes only if your income is exposed somehow to officials.

Думаю, что текущее падение биткоина связано именно с нарастающим ажиотажем вокруг рипплов. Дело в том что рипплы в основном покупают за биткойны. Сначала обменивают баксы на биткойны, затем биткойны на риплы. Т.е. ажиотаж вокруг рипплов должен вызывать удорожание биткойнов по отношению к баксам, и удешевление по отношению к рипплам. В реальности, происходит второе, и не происходит первого. |

Yes. The owner of the apartment is responsible for the apartment, and of course responsible for paying taxes for that apartment. The tenant pays the owner, and the owner pays the state any taxes.
I would argue that this is a fairly reasonable law - otherwise, there is a huge opportunity to avoid taxes. If anyone can become responsible for the payment of apartment's utility bills, what stops someone from hiring a bum to agree to become "responsible" and stop paying the bills? Then all the legal action would be on the bum's head. In my country, it is always on the owner's head.
Interesting. In US utility companies do not care if you are owner or tenant. You live in a house, you pay your bills. You stop paying, they switch utilities off. Owner still pays mortgage, taxes and insurance. Anyway, since MtGox is a US based company, any piece of official mail with your name on it (like cell phone bill, bank bill, traffic violation notice from police, etc) or government issued id with your address on it should work for them. |

You are wrong - in my country the utility bills are in the apartment owner's name. My mother does not pay for me, I pay all the bills, but they are still in her name. For them to be in my name, my mother would need to officially transfer the ownership of the apartment to me.
This is weird. When people rent apartments does utility bill still come on owners name? What country is this? By the way, I guess that if MtGox follows US rules, phone bill or bank bill should work as a proof of residency. I would check with them. |

What's the opinion at the moment? Is it better to be holding bitcoins or litecoins? I heard that the price of Litecoins could double or more once MTGox starts trading them? But the price of Bitcoin could go up sharply over the next few weeks too.
I have some of each right now - trying to hedge my bets.
