761  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 20, 2023, 01:20:26 PM
Inflation, of course, makes many things chaotic, I also feel that inflation makes it more difficult to save, many people even sell assets or go into debt to make ends meet because of inflation, of course this makes us have to be ready and always look for many sources of income.
Everyone's readiness to face inflation will be very different, even though you say we must always be ready to face it by seeking more sources of income. But some people will definitely be forced to be ready even though basically they are still not financially ready for the arrival of inflation, so this is what usually becomes a difficulty for some people during inflation because not everyone has adequate readiness to face inflation in their life.
Even before the inflation went high and before the pandemic, people were already having a hard time earning money for food. How much more now that everything is expensive, they struggle more? Those people who are saying to be ready must be in the middle class or rich class because they can be ready on it, but we that are below them, no matter how we say we should be ready, our finances can't. No matter how we say it, I know we need to find another source of income, but still, it is very hard to do it unless you are already earning a lot.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 20, 2023, 11:46:03 AM
~snip~
The thing is that there have being high discrimination against women and gambling is not exceptional just like there is a limitation for women in sports and other sectors that set limits between women and men but between that, we also need to know that things are changing lately and the stigma against women are becoming minimal to some extent.
Gambling lately has moved online and for that women are becoming more involved since they now have the privacy of gambling with online casinos.
Besides gambling, nowadays, many women have started to get involved in other businesses, and there are even women who have started businesses to be independent. In fact, in this era of advanced technology, it has opened up opportunities for women to be involved again, and with online casinos, women can try playing online gambling. They don't need to go to a physical casino if it makes them ashamed that there are still those who are displeased to see women gamble. These women can use online casinos to gamble, especially now that there are crypto casinos that can hide their identity as women who also want to enjoy gambling.

I also noticed that most of the people I've found working online in a work-from-home setting are usually women because they tend to have work at home and at the same time do their duties as a wife and a mom, which means they are still helping their husband earn money and not just what we think of them. So also, playing gambling online is really possible these days, and it is really an advantage for them as they can access it without needing to attend the actual casino
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 20, 2023, 09:46:39 AM
This is really a funny experience, but I'll share it. I am sometimes buying lottery tickets, as it is really known here in our country, in which we need to guess those 3 digit numbers, so while going to the lottery, I saw a newly opened bakeshop near it, but because I didn't bring all my money, I decided to lower my bet and purchase a bread and eat it there just to try it out, so I bet only small amount, and then after a few hours, the result came out, which I won with only a small amount as my bet was small, and I am very pissed on what I've done. If I just bet it all and then go back to my house to get money and buy bread, it is still not a mistake; it is just not my will to win that huge money that time.
764  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Simple to understood now cash is king again on: July 20, 2023, 08:27:57 AM
Cash may be used by everyone right now, but we are not transitioning to cashless. There are a lot of countries right now that are doing this, and they have their own app and use it to purchase because they don't want to hold the cash. It has also been derived in BTC as an online payment. For now, cash is really needed, but in the long run, it will be useless because of the digitalization and innovations that we currently have.
765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Days you need to work your ass at minimum wage for a BTC, by country on: July 20, 2023, 06:14:45 AM
Taxes and deductions for benefits are also not included, so it is still more than that. I can't imagine that even working like a robot (no eating and no sick leaves) it takes lots of years to achieve a whole bitcoin, and almost you are in your life with a very stagnant and continuous cycle. This is really hard if we are just minimum-wage earners. This is also a sign to take another job or side hustle so that if ever you are really planning to buy bitcoin, it is better to have another source of income if you don't want to work years just to save money to buy bitcoin.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it easier for an E-hailing company to move into food delivery? on: July 20, 2023, 04:24:11 AM
One reason I noticed is that first they have discounts than the actual app of the restaurant, and also people keep changing their minds on what food to eat. Just imagine if you only open the app of that specific restaurant but you want other food. That is why it is best to have one app that has multiple restaurants that you can choose from. This is also one of the reasons why I choose it over using the restaurant's app. Also, I found sometimes that the restaurant's app was very buggy and not accessible.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 20, 2023, 02:43:09 AM
This phrase is not applicable to all. Just imagine you already lost a million dollars and someone told you this. For sure, you'll be pissed off. This only applies to something that you dreamed of and not only based on luck, like saving to buy a Bitcoin and also other life stuff, because it can boost your motivation and really you can achieve it, unlike in gambling where you'll lose more for sure.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 20, 2023, 01:47:22 AM
I wish there was a miracle that happened to your brother so that his illness would be cured and he could regain his strength, but right now you really need money ASAP, which Bitcoin can't provide. It is better to get help from your relatives and also from your government, as they will help you financially with what needs to be done by your brother. Right now, no investment can give you immediate profits.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Farmer's Bitcoin Investment on: July 19, 2023, 04:22:41 PM
I do really hope that they know the risk of it because the way you tell the story is that they are only looking into it as a positive outcome and don't know if there are risks to it. I just remember before that it is not the same with Bitcoin, but there are people who created a cooperative to invest in an altcoin, but the price goes down because they only think that the price will go up. I do really hope that the price of bitcoin will hit that $100k mark in 2025 that you've mentioned so that those farmers will be happy and that it will be the fruits of their hard work on their farms.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 01:46:48 PM
Just let Bitcoin do its job. I don't really expect other people to persuade other people to invest in Bitcoin because, first, it is time-consuming, especially if you just introduce it to a person who is new to it, and second, after all of what you've said, there is still a chance that they won't invest because of a lack of money. Again, the last time that Bitcoin was trending in social media, people were wanting to invest in it and doing their own research. Let Bitcoin do it again, and for sure they can hear it and will try to jump in. Don't waste your time convincing other people.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: July 19, 2023, 12:05:52 PM
When the price of Bitcoin was $22K you bought some Bitcoin but now the price of Bitcoin has increased to over $30K which means you may have made some money on your previous investment and your subsequent investment. If you could have invested some more money in Bitcoin at the time you invested in the second step, you might have earned a good profit from your investment. Anyway, congratulations on your investment. Don't take any investment as small as you start investing you can gradually increase the amount of investment. Whatever money you start with is very important for you because not everyone can decide to invest and even if they decide to invest, not everyone can invest.

OP is already profitable, but honestly, his investment is insignificant, so there's no need to celebrate. What he needs to do is find a way to generate more income and save more money to invest in bitcoin if he wants to get bigger things in the future. If he stops with that small capital even if bitcoin reaches 100k, the profit will be negligible and does not make any breakthrough for life. Bitcoin is not an investment that can make him rich with just a small amount of capital.
The market has grown significantly since the time OP invested, but even if the market moved from that state to the current state, OP's investment may not have changed much because he made a small investment that would not have seen much profit or loss since he started investing. So he should make a long term plan with this investment from now on. He should plan to increase his investment every month or at certain times if he can afford it. The OP can take this opportunity if he wants to, in case the price of bitcoin is close to $100K in the future.
He gained around $7, which is small but still good because you can't get it for free and also without doing anything. It is also a good start for him. I'm not sure if he will invest again in bitcoin or like accumulate it by buying on a weekly or monthly basis. For sure, when he sees the profit, he will think of going big, like allocating more money from his salary and putting it into bitcoin.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Thoughts On First Time Lottery Bettor Who Won Big Amount? on: July 19, 2023, 10:20:31 AM
Ive just also remembered hearing news from our country that someone has also been betting on the lottery, and he is keeping the receipts, and he has a huge box full of them, but he has not even won a single jackpot from them. He only won a small one, but if he totaled all of his spending on them for the past decade, he said he could build a beautiful house. Again, the lottery is really for the lucky person, if you will, to win, no matter if you are a first-time bettor or not. He must be the luckiest person on earth, for sure.
773  Economy / Economics / Re: Automating your savings will help you save more on: July 19, 2023, 09:18:35 AM
I do love automating stuff in my life, it makes my money work for me without me having to think about it and doing it. It's going to be like "Hey! I already have saved up this money?" What an amazing way to save up money.

I know some banks that have applications on smartphones can automate and make goals for you. That's really amazing if you think about it. Everything is easier now.

Right? It's being responsible without the pressure that normally comes with it cause it's just there, automatically doing it for you. It's honestly a decision I am very thankful for my past self for doing because I can at least be at ease knowing that I am able to save up despite some moment when I think I am spending too much of what I normally have. It's lifesaving in a way and I can surely rely on it for future expenses and needs.
For sure, you are earning a lot or, like, have spare money, but I'm curious if automating the savings is something you need to do. I mean, do you need to pass some documents? Because I've tried in my bank right now with the app and I don't see anything about it, maybe I need to go first to my bank to get clarification on this. But again, not all can do this because their salary is just enough, but if you follow the principle of saving first before spending, then for sure you can save, even if it is just $1. This is better than nothing.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners, you don't need Bitcoin first on: July 19, 2023, 06:51:36 AM
Yes, this is very good advice.

You do not have to get a high paying job as an executive to afford a few Dollars worth of Bitcoin. One of the big mistakes that most newbies do in the beginning, is to think that they have to save up to buy 1 whole bitcoin. You can buy 5 Dollars worth of bitcoin every week and you can say that you are "buying" bitcoin.

I started with small amounts and I bought at a low price... my $300 worth of bitcoin... back in the day, provided me with huge profits.. when the price of a Bitcoin increased to $40 000.  Wink

Others also tend to take a loan without planning how to pay it back. Newbies are for sure only thinking about profit, like if they bought, let's say, $5 worth of bitcoin, they are thinking that it is too small and also that the profit is low. That is why they want to save up until they can buy 1 whole bitcoin, but turns out they tend to fail in savings. It is better to accumulate it over time because you can be sure that you bought it, just like if you allocated some money every month or your salary and bought it directly to bitcoin.
775  Economy / Economics / Re: Entrepreneurship and women on: July 19, 2023, 04:26:48 AM
Entrepreneurship is a field not specified for on gender they can both involve and alook make good profit it does not require you to be a woman to be a successful business person likewise to men too every gender is perfect in entrepreneurship so long as you know it's principles, obligations and what it takes.
Another thing is what we call the know how, it is something that requires a person with good qualities who also has the spirit of conducting the business affairs. A good business person is also expected to be a risk taker
Yes, with the development of the times, I think our mindset must also develop and there is no need to focus on gender,
both men and women each have the same opportunity in entrepreneurship,
business people are required to take risks but at the same time they also need to manage risks to minimize them.
Yes, the opportunity is equally divided between men and women. As long as we have the ability and bravery, we can start a business or join any field we want, gender is really not too big of a problem. I don't see a problem when women are presidents, CEOs, or senior managers…as long as they always perform excellently at their assigned tasks, they are more deserving than men. But it is difficult to understand that in this world, there are still many places where there are still gender discrimination, and women are not respected as men.

That is really part of the culture, as we know that ever since people looked at women and saw them as weak compared to men, this was their view, but right now women are smarter. They always proved it wrong, like getting rich and proving that they are better than men. Right now, people are looking at women as equal to men because a lot of women can do the jobs that men can do, unlike before, when it was really prohibited to make women go to work as they only needed to be in the house.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gain more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2023, 03:18:19 AM
You can't really blame others, as they want gambling because they are more attracted to winning huge amounts, like if they bet on the lottery, they are hoping to win thousands of dollars or even millions, which is more appealing to them, and at the same time they are having fun with it. Unlike investing in Bitcoin, gambling is not the same as investing in Bitcoin, as you need to learn about it and the risk that involves it is huge, like losing your money. The only thing they want in gambling is that it is easy to do, and if you get lucky, you'll win big.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 19, 2023, 02:20:39 AM
I do hope that people will do this because what I've mostly noticed is that they will tend to continue playing because they want to chase up losses, but again, that is really a good move if we are able to do it because you tend to relax and think about the right move. This is like if you are planning to buy something but you should wait like 3 days to know if you still want that stuff. Controlling our emotions is really difficult, but once we are able to do it, then for sure we won't be addicted to something.
778  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 19, 2023, 01:11:44 AM
Prices right now, like gasoline, are now cheaper than the previous month, but still, it is not back to its original price, and I am not sure it will, but still, it goes down, but other foods and other stuff are still the same, and they are not getting their price cut because the supplier is still the same. Inflation is less right now, as forecasted by the news, but still, we can't feel it the same way. This is mostly because merchants are still continuing to raise their prices.
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: risk nothing, you're risking more on: July 18, 2023, 04:11:04 PM
Saying sorry for you never take the opportunity to invest in the first place is something that a lot of us here had experienced. We all have our own hesitations and doubts knowing bitcoin at first, however if we chose to acquire knowledge and take risk in investing, then we will know that bitcoin is a perfect choice since it gives unlimited opportunities for people who are brave enough to take some risk. So welcome to the Bitcoin community OP and hopefully this time you’ll get what you deserve.

and I do hope also for the OP not to commit those mistakes in the past or even move on from them because if he keeps thinking about them, the momentum to find or invest in something will be gone. Try to migrate your energy to others, like planning your investment in bitcoin, so that you can have something in the future and not cry the same way right now as you regret missing those opportunities. Again, this is just a missed opportunity, and there are more coming. Be ready to catch them.
780  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 18, 2023, 02:47:42 PM
@Op, you shouldn't just take 2 examples if it's not a rare story that only a few people experience. Passion isn't always going to have high commercial value, so it's a concern for people. Today in some low-income countries, people just want their daily needs to be sufficient, compared to the example you took that might come from someone with good economic preferences who have lots of ideas and opportunities to make it happen.

I don't even remember what I was passionate about and loved when life got harder and harder, and all I could think about was doing any job as long as it brought me lots of money. Currently, my job is stable and gives me a decent income, but if someone asks me if I am passionate about it, I will say no. But it's giving me a better life than many people, so it can be my passion, as long as it makes money for me, I'll be passionate.

That is really life; we sacrifice things just for the sake of our family. For sure, you are doing that for your family; you just took that job because it has a high salary, and you learn to love it. We are in the same situation, but mine is that I would say it is still a good pay but not enough based on what I've been doing, but still, because of my family, I need to do this job even if I don't like it. The problem with this is that I don't enjoy it, but I just use my family as motivation.
