3581  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 15, 2021, 10:31:22 PM
Anyone else here convert their Gold to Bitcoin?
Kinda having a hard time parting ways with my coins.
There's something to be said about touching Gold coins.
They're heavier than you think..
They have a nice ringing tone to them when tapped.
Fun to look at.. older ones have a history to tell.

Maybe I'm alone in this feeling.. 14+ years of collecting coins is hard to let go, but ultimately I got into it to have an insurance in case
of economic collapse and security.. also to make a profit.
Seems like Gold may be taken out by Bitcoin in a few short years.
Right now bitcoin is my favorite investment to make. I have invested in gold once and that was my first investment in 2014, and I later sold my gold and then I started investing in bonds and they were not really something I liked.

I had plans to get back to gold investment, before I stumbled on Bitcoin while I was doing a completely different research, and I picked interest in it and decided to look further into it and after that, by late 2015 I was ready to start investing in Bitcoin and it has been the best investment. Gold is also good, and I guess if I never discovered bitcoin when I wanted to quit investment in bonds, I would have been investing in gold by now.
3582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to invest in Tezos in 2020 on: April 15, 2021, 10:07:06 PM
Well!! The crypto market is booming really well in the crypto space, as one of the altcoin called tezos is performing really good.

Several crypto experts assume that tezos have the potential to the its show ability in the upcoming years.
Read https://coinpedia.org/price-prediction/tezos-xtz-price-prediction/

Let me know your point of view on this?
I haven’t invested in Tezos for a long time now, but if I can remember very well, earlier around December of last year and going into the start of this year, the position of Tezos in the market was 19th position, but right now the position is 29th, that shows that it has taken ten steps back from it’s former position of 19th, wow, so a lot of coins really have overtaken it in the race.

Tezos has always been slow, but steady. It’s good to see the growth so far, because it has more than doubled with its current rate of over $6 and a bigger market cap of $4 billion. So, it’s definitely an investment that will be worth making, even though it might not be as big as the other investments that are rocking heavily.
3583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tutorial website for blockchain on: April 15, 2021, 09:49:52 PM
Do we have a tutorial website for blockchain. Can you give me site with lots of blockchain related tutorials example: how to create NFT, how to create crypto mobile wallet.
I think most of the videos you’re going to have to pay for online on websites like Udemy can be gotten for free on other platforms like YouTube, although you might have to be doing some deep research to find exactly what you’re looking for.

The good thing about the platforms where you have to pay for them is that the particular subject you want to learn will have everything about it arranged in one package and you will learn everything that you’re supposed to learn, unlike YouTube where you will have to be searching for them and might not even be aware of some important things you have to learn and ignore them. You can find courses about blockchain on all these platforms.
3584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: April 15, 2021, 09:31:12 PM
Most of exchange at this time are complex and it is really hard to understand the interface. I prefer simple interface and high security of our assets. Low transaction fees, fast support team, simple user friendly interface is needed to build a good exchange.
I'm not finding any of crypto exchanges are complex to understand its interface. Because almost all the exchanges are having similar layout and UX which makes easier for all the new people to get start trading without any guidelines. Probably you are talking about some exchange which I have never visited, I guess.

In my opinion, exchanges which are honest and processing withdraw requests on time must be good exchanges because I will not be having any problem to clear KYC and other similar things.
3585  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience with Trading Bots on: April 15, 2021, 09:03:50 PM
I have tried many bots and I have managed to make some profits with the help of them but after some period of time all bots turned ineffective like they are not good at all market conditions but frequency of trading got reduced considerably against how it was in the beginning days.
I have read always most bots will be working like this in long run because bots are just programming codes which cannot be coping up with ever-changing different market conditions; but it would be much better instead of getting you false signals, your bots are not at all generating any signal; at least this way your capital will be secured.

I had plans to buy bots at many times because of lack of time to trade by myself but instead of risking with bots then I decided to invest only on bitcoin for holding purposes and not for trading purposes.
3586  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin marketcaps might hit $1 Quad. as Coinbase is listed on Nasdaq on: April 15, 2021, 08:35:08 PM
I couldn't see any major shifts on the world's economy that would make a $1 quad crypto market a reality. Perhaps hyperinflation? But that usually solves itself, too.
After getting know about the current marketcap of gold, I realize how big is quadrillion and this way OP is not making sense. There are very less possibility for bitcoin market to be reaching such huge marketcap.

But, we cannot say anything about the future when some governments will be discovering more number of goldmines and all the investments from gold will be shifting into bitcoin then this kind of marketcap may happen. But if you ask about the possibility then I would say it will be around 0.001%
3587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's the easiest to trade when you aren't trading on: April 15, 2021, 06:39:20 PM
Well, I did the same thing that you did. I have not tried day trading before in the cryptocurrency market because I am afraid of day trading assets since my experience with Forex and Binary Options were very bad, so I decided to stay clear from anything that has to do with trading ,so since I got to know about cryptocurrency , starting with bitcoin, I have always made sure that what I am doing is just to invest and HODL the money till there is an increase in the market and I can sell and withdraw my money.

I was able to get in at $6k and sold when the price got to $12k cause I felt that would be the highest it would go. When the price started going up and reached $17k decided to buy again and the I held till $45k and sold half of it because I felt like the price has increased too much. But since it kept moving, I haven’t sold the remaining coins I have.
3588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 15, 2021, 06:53:21 AM
While BNB appeals to the wider crypto users because the binance smartchain currently seem to have overcome the biggest issue that most cryptocurrency users have with bitcoin ethereum and the ERC 20 blockchain tokens. This problem is the speed of transaction and and the cost of transactions.
This is a problem  that BSC currently solves, and while a lot of people might argue that BNB is not a fully decentralized coin, i think it is worth noting that a lot of users dont care much for how decentralized  a coin or token is, they just want the solutions they it offers.
This is why i think BNB an the BSC will remain very valuable in years to come
You just said the truth about majority of the crypto users, they really don’t care about the decentralization, they just care about whether it’s going to suit their needs for transactions and whatsoever else they want, as long as it is a solution for them they are definitely going for it and they are not looking back when they start making use of it.

So, as to whether the BNB is going to keep growing, that is for sure, it is going to keep on adding more value everyday, because a lot of people are going to be investing in it and nothing else. And with the situation of bitcoin and Ethereum now, a lot of people will going for BNB.
3589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think bear market will come? on: April 14, 2021, 09:26:29 PM
When do you think bear market will come and why do you think so?
I do not think that it will come anytime soon, but at the same time I do not believe that its long way away neither. We started this increase around October, it has been around 6 months or so, and that means its doing great right now, but I do not think that it will go another 6 months neither. I think we will keep going up until summer, and during sometime this summer we will start to see bitcoin having a bit of trouble going even higher, we have gone so much high these days that I do not think that we will have any similar increases again.

We have gone up about x6 and then some, if you look at previous year we were even under 10k so we can say we increased as much as x10, I do not think that we could ever go x10 this quickly ever again unless it drops super low which I think it won't. This is why it will have hard time going higher in the near future.
3590  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: April 14, 2021, 09:05:21 PM
I think you are right to a certain things but I wouldn't say that only the rich people have the ability to keep gambling, I know some dirt poor people in my place and they are in the gambling house all day 24/7. I wouldn't say it is not a bad thing because that money could've gone to a better cause like free housing for homeless or soup kitchens, there are a lot of problems that these rich people could solve but they choose the vices.
I wanted to say that the idea was basically rich people can keep gambling longer than poor people and that was the point. Sure poor people can gamble so much that they could lose their cars, houses even get to a point where they will lose jobs, loved ones and more. However even if a poor person goes as much as to a point they are homeless without a single person in their life and a single dollar to their name, they still can't reach to rich peoples levels, and that's just a fact.

I can sell every single thing I ever own right now, and it still wouldn't be nowhere near the levels of these people, literally every single thing I own would not be worth the amount these people are putting up. This is why I understand that poor people could gamble more and more if they are not careful and that's a bad thing, but even in that situation they are not gambling like rich people.
3591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what way to take profit ? on: April 14, 2021, 07:40:31 PM
There are still many coins that are on the market for a long time, we can take sufficient profits there, of course with high risks that must be faced, in trade and investment we must have a stronger fortopolio, meaning that where our coins are already profitable, we need to sell them for get results.

And don't be greedy, it will usually be stuck at a low price later.
This is what exactly where I am having big confusion because when I'm not greedy then I am exiting too early at the same time when I am waiting for more time for bigger profits then market is coming down unexpectedly. For example, I failed to sell my BCH when it was trading at around 0.3 BTC but it is trading more than 10x lower to that price levels.

Definitely we must need good knowledge on where to book profits and for which coins we should wait more. When we are not having that kind of knowledge then definitely we must need to undergo suffering by losing good opportunities.
3592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: April 14, 2021, 04:47:39 PM
I just got to find out the importance of saving asset in bitcoin. As of last year October I just decided to split my savings into two and used half of it to buy bitcoin then took half to bank and deposited as fixed deposit which means I won't be taking the money for a period of time and bank will in return be giving me little percentage which I will take as profit, recently I tried comparing the profit I get from both bank and bitcoin, I found out the profit I got from bank is way low compared to what I got from bitcoin, then I decided to stop keeping my assets  in banks rather I keep it in bitcoin which later turns out to be an investment for me.
Wouldn’t be bad if you still continue with splitting it and keeping some of them bank while the rest goes to bitcoin. Bitcoin is good and the percentage of return can be high at times, but that shouldn’t be the reason why you would be investing or saving all your money in Bitcoin, because there are still times that the market can be really bad, although this year have been different and we haven’t experienced any of those really bad bear markets or corrections that pushes the market to plummeting to a very low price. So you have to be very careful of what you’re buying .
3593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tenants to pay rent with bitcoin on: April 14, 2021, 04:34:46 PM
In recent times so many exciting events/news have been happening with bitcoin,  we have seen how bitcoin have gain institutional adoption with Tesla taking the lead and the installation of bitcoin ATMs for easy access to the digital global currency BTC.
The latest is a real estate firm optioning for tenants to pay rent using bitcoin.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/07/rick-carusos-company-to-begin-accepting-rent-payments-in-bitcoin.html?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=Crypto&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1617831770
This indeed are great indications of bitcoin mainstream adoption/usage.
I know there are lots of people who wouldn’t call this a big news because they are expecting bigger and mainstream companies to start adopting bitcoin before they will regard the adoption. They are all forgetting that it is little things like this one that makes the change, it has to start with the small companies first doing it and by the time there are many of them small companies that are accepting , it will become the new trend and you will start seeing the bigger companies talking about accepting it too.

So, we should also be happy when we see these small companies accepting it, that’s going to help with promoting Bitcoin and increasing the rate at which people adopt it.
3594  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 100k Event | Daily New Slots | on: April 13, 2021, 06:33:39 PM
Just checked the top 100 of the $100,000 event, I only recognize one BCT member: BTCGOSU  Grin. Nr 100 already wagered over 23,000$, so it is not so easy to get into the top 100.
Honestly people who have the money for gambling this much also has the chance to keep gambling as much as possible. They could simply just ignore all the money it would cost them and keep gambling as much as possible to get there, this is a game challenge for them. Like how you would open up your steam account, pick a game, play there and get an achievement on that game? It is like that for them, because they have so much money that the amount they spend here is nothing to do them at all, it is like game money for them.

At the end of the day they will win these things, wagering competitions, closes to bla bla competitions, many things like that, you could even do something that is not regarding money and they would still have a bigger chance because they are capable of gambling so much without caring about what they are losing. This is not really a bad thing, if you are rich and like doing it why not do it?
3595  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Next? After Bitcoin Passes The 60K Mark...... on: April 13, 2021, 05:57:03 PM
Is bitcoin for speculation only?   or it is really useful in our daily life?  just curious..  What product can we buy by using bitcoin only...   how many Merchant accepting bitcoin?   is it a huge number?   what do you think?
I won’t really say that it is being helpful in our daily lives, because most of us here don’t make use of bitcoin for our daily needs, mostly what we are making use of is the fiat and nothing more than that. And if we decide to make use of bitcoin in making a purchase it is going to be something that we do once in a while and not on a steady basis. But as for merchants accepting Bitcoin, you can find lots of them online if you search for them.

For example there is Overstock, although I think they mostly deal on Homesgoods, especially furniture. Then there is purse.io that people uses for making different purchase. There might be less of them, but they are available.
3596  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How come some KYC exchanges ask for more info than others? on: April 13, 2021, 04:30:43 PM
Why do some go above and beyond what is even actually required?

Also, which ones ask for the least amount of KYC?
It depends on the exchange, but what kind of information are they requesting for that you don’t really like , is it the submitting of ID? Every exchange I know does that, except the decentralized exchanges.

When you register on some of the centralized exchanges at first, they wouldn’t ask for anything but they will try limit most of the things you can do on the exchange, that way you will be forced to do KYC, and the KYC has different stages , the first one they will require you to give your name, address’s, phone number and other basic details. Then the next stage of the KYC is to submit your ID to verify yourself. Then there are those that will even ask for you to take a selfie holding your ID card lol.
3597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 12, 2021, 01:43:23 PM
I’m not looking to be a full time trader. I just want to do one or two trades per week focusing on modest gains but low risk.

For example: I though that trading on the first minutes of an IEO was a safe option. But after reviewing how previous Launchpad projects went on the firsts minutes I does not looks like a low risk strategy at all.

So my question is: Is there such thing like low risks strategies? If yes, what could be an example of that?
There is really no such thing as low risk, it all comes down to how you play your game, like one of the things you have to do to reduce your risk is to be trading with small amount that won’t affect your pocket in case things should go wrong, and then you have to be making use of stop loss, although sometimes it can cause you to miss out when the market suddenly goes up again after a dip, that’s why you have to be focused on your trade.

Then you can try Hodl, but you have to be careful of which coins you’re Hodl’ing, and you also have to understand that the market does not go up all the time and also it can take years for another bull run to happen, just like the current bull run, we had to wait for years and some people even gave up. So if you choose to just Hodl, buy at the right time and be ready to hold for a long time.
3598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have a few beginner questions regarding crypto trading on: April 12, 2021, 09:11:07 AM
I'm currently using coinbase as my main crypto exchange. But I keep hearing from a lot of people who have been trading/mining crypto for years say that they don't use coinbase anymore. Why is that? Also what exchange is the most popular to use right now? Is it still Coinbase?
Coinbase is a good one, but if you’re going to be using it for trading it is best that you make use of the Coinbase trading platform which is CoinbasePro because with that you’re going to be saving up from fees than when you’re making use of the wallet in trading.Apart from the fees that might be high for you, Coinbase is a good and secure platform to mask use of.

In terms of popularity, there are other exchanges that are very popular too such Kraken, Binance, Huobi, Poloniex and so many of them. Binance is the choice for most people and it is the most popular and is even bigger than Coinbase when you check their daily volume, and they have less fees than when you’re making use of Coinbase. You should try them two out and compare to know which is best for you.
3599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 12, 2021, 06:44:14 AM
What I've lost is big. Last one month have made a big change in my life. I don't know how things gonna change and myself gonna manage. I would like to brief the last 31 days of my life and gambling. Someone could read and won't get into risk of life.
This community and its lessons are always marvelous but it seems no gambler is learning from this kind of threads but they do their level of "irresponsible gambling" and then coming up with another such topic. Do gamble with care or responsible is not a new advice here but people like you are more keen to bring up here your own stories.

I don't have a job, and that's the reason I wasn't able to keep me deviated from gambling.
I am not finding this as a valid reason. You will able to deviate your focus if you are good in self-control. I have seen many addicted gamblers who are into regular job for years. Moreover, if you are into any job then you can easily get loans which will again help you to ruin your finance more problematic.
3600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: April 11, 2021, 06:49:30 PM
Even though I believe that Nets are not a proper "team" yet even though they have amazing players, I also think that this one game is not indication of how they will be like. Lakers is still the previous champions and even without AD and Lebron they are still a great team, but normally Nets should have won this game easily, but just because they lost it and lost it with 25 points, doesn't mean that they are a horrible team neither. They are a great team who had a bad game, that is the only thing we could take away from this game.

At the end of the day we are talking about Nets here, with irving, harden, durant and that three alone is great and enough, with the help of their other players they will be good. I just do not believe that they are "team" enough to win this year, but maybe next year when everyone is perfectly healthy and pandemic is not as much of a problem, they could become a serious threat.
