3641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: March 29, 2021, 08:04:05 PM
Please guys help me suggest coins to buy. I’m a student and I don’t really know much about crypto but I need the money for financial freedom and help my dad cover some of my school costs. Please guys.
As per many people you must buy the coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum at first hand. After those coins, I am going to recommend and starting with IOTA, I think this is a really good coin and would be best to get on it early as the price is likely to start increasing and really high price by next year. If you haven’t known about this one, it’s best that you take out time and study it.

The next one I am going to recommend you invest your money in is Tezos, I see it going far in future due to how unique it is. Then Litecoin is another good coin to buy. But before considering any of these, it’s good you research them yourself before making a decision.
3642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: March 29, 2021, 07:31:23 PM
In such way, the potential still high it's just waiting for full implementations and acceptance so far it's still in the early age and basing to how the market are moving,
Yup, I think with time there will be better ways for Defi’s to be improved on. A lot of people believed that Defi’s are are failed projects due to one reason or the other, but since they are still new to the market, so I can’t say for sure, and now we have the Tron features that are offering Defi, let’s see how everything is going to be improved , cause I know for sure that there are still more to come about this.

Like ICO and then IEO, I speculate that defi hype also will become faded out over the time when some other hype will be rising up. Because, this is how this crypto space is moving forward and nothing will last forever here; I am very much sure about that.
3643  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 reasons why BTC will unlikely trade below $50,000 in the near term on: March 29, 2021, 06:39:27 PM
3 reasons why BTC will unlikely trade below $50,000 in the near term and up from here

https://cointelegraph.com/news/3-reasons-why-btc-will-unlikely-trade-below-50-000-in-the-near-term
Lol so what if you’re wrong about that and the price starts increasing are you going to buy back or just stay back? Although I am just noticing that the price has decreased to $50,000, but something like this happened earlier before the price jumped to $62,000 and you know for sure there is the possibility of it repeating itself again.

Though from another angle we can agree that you with some reasons yet bitcoin still remain stronger regardless of those things because it’s been triggered by institutional investors now and the price has just being going up, it can crash at anytime and maybe that’s what will be happening by next year but definitely not going bellow $50,000 levels.
3644  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have found a good Trading Course on: March 29, 2021, 06:03:04 PM
As a result, I research for more resources regarding trading especially with those materials that has a nice examples of actual charts since I am more inclined to learn with the aid of visuals. With that being said, I want to share with you guys a great but underrated trading courses in youtube. However, I am not going for a more detailed info though since I want you to personally check out his videos and give some comments about his contents.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChULbX89jjbCEDhGn56_yuw
I don’t think that I have that kind of time to be looking through all those videos on YouTube, but you can still try the strategies they have there, if you’re lucky they care going to work out for you. There are many ways that you can do trading, and the most important thing is that you should have the knowledge first.

There are also some courses that you will have to be paying for , just like on Coursera  and if you pay them you will be able to access the studies from anywhere you want. And I also think they are better since they have lots of professional trades.
3645  Economy / Economics / Re: OpenAI: Artificial Intelligence will generate wealth to pay each adult $13,500yr on: March 29, 2021, 05:04:06 PM
AI carries a potential to boost productivity and profit margins, if the big promises attached to it pan out. Productivity from the 1950s to the present have doubled in some areas. Generating wealth has never been an issue. The main difficulties we've faced are booming population growth coupled with wealth distribution. In terms of whether gains in productivity can exhibit a trickle down effect.
The way we are going with these AI of a thing , I hope we don’t end up creating the ones that will bomb earth to pieces. Cause this is really turning to something else since all these dumb scientists now wants AI to do everything single thing on earth, what’s wrong with our normal way of living?

Why don’t we just live our lives the way it is and only create minor AI that we can easily manage, than all these big stuffs that doesn’t make any sense, seriously.

Well, whatever , I just hope that whatever they are creating they better find ways that they are going to be keeping them under control, so they don’t do some stupid things.
3646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic IV on: March 28, 2021, 04:23:38 PM
Congratulations for those who didn't panicked. We're again @ $56k. With that just few hours of waiting, it has recovered as the usual thing that bitcoin shows us.
What i want to congratulate are those who Bought more when the price drops down tp 51k  because they are the brave and real supporter of Bitcoin.

Those strong hands and belief are now in profit already , While others are starting to sell out , they manage to buy more and more to add strength to the the value of Bitcoin those days .
I am nearly one of those people. I bought at 52k and not 51k, but it was going down and not after it went up from 51k, so it was still a falling knife when I was buying. I always buy bitcoin no matter what the price is or what it was so it is not really a big difference to me, I always assumed that bitcoin would go up in the long run which is why I do not end up selling my coins, I used to sell them, I even got out completely at one point, but I realized how big of a mistake I did later on.

This means I will buy if bitcoin goes from 55k to 20k as well, I do not care what the price is, it could reach to under 4k again if it wants and I will still be buying bitcoin, probably more because of that. Of course I do not think that it will ever go down that much again, that was once upon a time and now it is gone and we will be always high from now on.
3647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are more friendly with Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2021, 01:54:25 PM
LTC, Ethereum, BCH, or other altcoins; which ones will be used in combination with Bitcoin in the digital future ahead of us?
If you’re saying being used together, these coins are totally different and they are competing with each other. But let’s say in terms of being used for transactions, which other coins are going to be as popular as Bitcoin, we all know for sure that top on the list are Ethereum and Litecoin, these ones are very popular and there are already lots of people who make use of them.

You can hardly see anyone making use of any other altcoins for transactions apart from these two. Another coin which I have seen being used is Ripple, but only once. So, I will say that Ethereum and Litecoin are on the top list of coins that will be used alongside Bitcoin.
3648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT is an interesting space on: March 27, 2021, 07:27:02 PM
The most interesting concept of NFT at the moment is in the traditional gaming industry, all the characters, items, skins, equipments and skills you own in one game can only be used within that game itself.
But with NFT, all these collections that you have could potentially be transferable and usable in other games as well. One significant difference is the money you spent in one game will not go to waste, while the other risk that are taken off is if the game developers does not want to support the game anymore, your collections can still be used in other games.
Well I think they are starting to extend it already to other industries. And moreover, apart from the cryptocurrency industry this is method that can be applied in lots of areas. So, when it comes to the cryptocurrency industry the same way it can be applied in so many ways this time around.

The meaning of Non Fungible Tokens (NFT’s) is that they are cryptographic assets which contains information that is used to identify them. Recently Jack of Twitter has said something about auctioning his first tweet through Blockchain and crypto, and I think that is an example of what we are talking about here.
3649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading, is it worth? on: March 27, 2021, 05:46:27 PM
I am really curious how are you evaluating your trading ideas, what is the process, and what are your rules what type of traders you are?

If anyone could explain their strategy on day/swing/scalp/position you will make my day
I think you should be careful, it’s not a must that you’re going to be a trader, just know your limit while you’re doing this so that our don’t end up losing your money too much while trying to learn how you can trade. If it’s not working just know that there are other ways that you can be getting income from cryptocurrency, trading is not the only means that was created for people to be earning money from Bitcoin.

Just do the one that’s going to work out for you. You can as well try HODL and see whether it’s going to work. At least you can have time to try others things or maybe continue you’re job while the money HODL stays there
3650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it really a benefit that nobody controls the price? on: March 27, 2021, 04:58:18 PM
I like crypto but, as a merchant and business owner, price volatility keeps me from accepting it. The price is heavily influenced by hype and FUD and I can't afford to lose half my wealth from a random crash. And what would it do to the global economy if everyone blindly jumped in without some sort of protection from a massive loss of wealth?

Solution- price limits!

If even one crypto exchange in the world adopted a policy to limit the prices of buy and sell orders to within a small percentage of the daily opening price, say +/- 1% for example, volatility would disappear. Bitcoin is currently priced around $50k, this would limit Bitcoin volatility to no more or less than $500 a day.
Well, you can’t change that, the price of Bitcoin will continue to be volatile so it’s either that you start switching it to stable coins like PAX and USDT after making sales or you can just totally convert the coins you receive to fiat, that’s the solution for me, if you’re not going to do that the. You can continue with holding the coins like that if you can take the loss.

Though the price has been going up lately. But still make use of this method , look for a means to be converting. I know other merchants that do the same thing, they don’t hold BTC, they convert it once they get it and they make use of P2P in converting which helps them set their rate and make more profit on every dollar sold.
3651  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh militants use Bitcoins for laundering money to Kashmir on: March 26, 2021, 05:00:00 PM
The US government announced in August 2020 that hundreds of cryptocurrency accounts, four websites and four Facebook accounts were seized. This step has failed the attempt to collect funds with the digital currency of militant groups.

However, digital currency is still banned in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Bank issued a notice on December 2016 asking everyone to refrain from such transactions.
Unregulated decentralized currency will have some problems, that has always been the case, when we first said that we do not want government interference with our money, we took the reality of bad people using this currency as well. Just a few years ago we had dark net that sold drugs and even provided illegal services for bitcoin payments, that was always the case even when we first started, and that is why we should not be shocked about news like this.

Of course it is not good that this happens, money laundering should not be a bitcoin problem, but people laundered money even before bitcoin, you think there was no money laundering before 2008? Of course there was, so we should not see this as a problem of bitcoin but a problem of currency, whatever currency there will be, people will always do illegal stuff and launder that money into regular life.
3652  Economy / Economics / Re: Different online business we can involve in on: March 26, 2021, 02:21:37 PM
Of course online jobs are very influential today, especially online purchases through applications that are currently widely available on Playstore and offer free shipping and can also be paid on the spot and very affordable prices for goods.
Including me, online purchases during the pandemic have become my priority and maybe everyone uses them because they just sit at home, goods come without physical contact and direct transactions.
and now such a business is growing rapidly and is very profitable from distributors especially for those who lost their jobs to switch to delivery services with their vehicles.
Yeah, online business world will keep on growing bigger and bigger. It is already very huge, we all know this, look at amazon for example even the owner became the richest person in the world, there are tons of online business that will grow. Amazon is not even purely online, it is an online shop but they do bring you a physical product as well so it is not really purely online.

There will be more and more purely online business in the world. Look at gaming world for example, it became so much online that buying a game CD is something not that common anymore, we all buy it online and download it and play it and that is a huge billions of dollars per quarter type of sector. There are thousands of examples like this where the whole business is purely online and that will keep on growing non-stop.
3653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's first post sale on: March 25, 2021, 05:00:55 PM
Imagine that Satoshi Nakamoto reappears and wants to auction his first Bitcoin Talk post as an NFT

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28

At what price do you think it would be sold?

Of course, with a proof that it is him and he who sells it.
The name Satoshi Nakamoto is a really big name in the world now and I know very well that if he should show up with proof and decides that he’s going to sell his first post as an NFT, there will be lots of people lined up to buy and it’s sure going to land anywhere around hundred million dollars and even above. That’s what I think.

When Jack did his, he was able to sell for a really huge amount of $2.9 million, and I believe that the mysterious Satoshi can do more than that it he should suddenly show up. And trust me there will be lots of people who are ready to buy it because they love what Satoshi has done for the world and they would love to keep something that belongs to him, so the competition to get it is definitely going to be too much.
3654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie traders - Learn from my mistakes on: March 25, 2021, 10:53:25 AM
your decision is already a good one. You don't have to split that $ 80 with any altcoins. because from btc profittalble it is clear. you just hold or sell it, it will still give you a good profit. Instead of giving the entire portfolio to altcoins that you are not necessarily sure of the future benefits. while bitcoin will not discourage you.
Bitcoin is sure the best option for him, selling the $80 worth coins to invest in altcoins wouldn’t make any sense.

Moreover most of the altcoins are seeing a huge increase as Bitcoin, except a few of them that seems to be really wilding out.

I think a few that has been increasing heavily includes Tron, Vechain, and some DeFi. Bitcoin is good and from the look of things Bitcoin might still be going for more increase because it is not going down anymore, it keeps breaking new levels every month and we don’t know to what extent it might reach soon.
3655  Economy / Economics / Re: 'Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money,' says Nigeria's central bank governor on: March 25, 2021, 08:15:59 AM
According to a report by media outlet Punch, while addressing the Senate committee, Emefiele remarked: “Cryptocurrency is not legitimate money. Cryptocurrency has no place in our monetary system at this time and cryptocurrency transactions should not be carried out through the Nigerian banking system.”
The CBN governor also reiterated that despite the ban, the central bank was doing its due diligence to better under the emerging digital asset space.

The CBN governor also reiterated that despite the ban, the central bank was doing its due diligence to better under the emerging digital asset space.

Nigeria SEC in support of cryptocurrencies while CBN not in support, p2p has been the best though, no bank charges and no conversion charges.
[/quote]
Wait, thought I have already seen a news that the Nigerian vice president is not in support of the ban of Bitcoin and has already said that they (Central Bank of Nigeria) should lift the ban on bitcoin and instead create rules to regulate it?

If the vice president has really said that, then they have no other option than to lift the ban soon, I guess the reason they have not lifted the ban till now is because they are still working on ways that they are going to regulate it. And let’s be true to ourselves, them banning Bitcoin doesn’t make any sense since people are now switching to P2P, so how exactly have they banned it? Lol.
3656  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin millionaire lists reasons most will never be rich on: March 24, 2021, 08:11:15 PM
It is not that easy, I would love it if I was capable of finding some opportunities that easily but it is not easy. Even if I have just 100 dollars, I am still young, I could invest that, and I can double that every year and in 20 years I would have a lot of money and retire, that would be early age to retire for me and I would be happy about it.

However many people can't find that type of stuff because it is not easy, how can you double your money every year, but look at the market it had at least one coin that doubled every year. So finding the right opportunity is the hardest one in here, I would rather not deal with that and just put all my money into bitcoin and wait, I keep putting more and more money into bitcoin, can't buy too much these days since it went up, but I am still waiting, not selling until I can retire.
3657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to invest in right now on: March 24, 2021, 07:40:25 PM
Which altcoins would you select to invest now?
Your list is a good one but none of those coins are on my list, used to have EOS and XRP, but I sold them. Sometimes I refresh my list of altcoins and go for other coins I think will likely be increasing in value.

Right now, I have had Orchid (OXT) for like more than five months now, and I think it’s really one of the best investments I have made for this year, the price has been increasing, though there have been up and downs as well. Then I have Ethereum, I never miss out on this one lol, it’s always important to me and we have all seen how the price moved up during the bullish market. Then another coin I am holding is SNX (Synthetic Network Token), and that’s it for me. I don’t really stack up lots of coins in my portfolio, just a few altcoins and then I have Bitcoin to make it four, most of my investments goes into Bitcoin than altcoins.
3658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Elon Musk invest in Cardano? on: March 24, 2021, 06:48:04 PM
Upon searching, this is what I got...
https://www.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news/elon-musks-influence-in-crypto-is-musk-endorsing-cardano-ada-2431286

I hope this could trigger for ADA to move forward as Elon Musk did to Doge and Bitcoin. The influence that he has is very strong and people have to listen to him. In fact, we can obviously see the result of all his tweets and it mentally affects the minds of investors and traders.
I suppose to think about buying now ADA in anticipating the future hypes.
We are talking about possibility here, a speculation created by the creators of ADA that elons "meta for k" is just a signal towards their coin but there is no proof of that. When doge went up because of Elon that was due to him literally saying he likes doge one for one, he didn't signal it, it wasn't a secret code, it wasn't anything that was hidden, it was plainly out there and saying that he likes doge and it is a good coin.

If he comes out and says ADA is great coin, that would make it go up, but all these pictures and profiles and secret messages, those are not big deals and I do not think that it would matter. Of course it is a funny bit in crypto world, people joke about elon's tweets as well, like when someone asks "you think x coin will go up?" "if elon tweets it", and those type of jokes, that makes more sense if you ask me and that is a bit funny.
3659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: March 24, 2021, 05:59:26 PM
The old coins you are talking about are good potential coins and we can trust them and give them some time they will also move in the coming months. I don't think there is any competition between all these coins because all coin's usage is different-different. I believe you can invest in these coins if you have trust in these coins. I feel there is a good scope for these coins if you not bought as yet but due diligence before investing.
This is the mistake that newer people do. We know that "old" coins are the real ones that provide a lot of profit, bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, ltc, and many like that, those are the big ones that give you a lot of profit, but they do not realize this and they keep making mistakes, that is why they end up investing into smaller tiny coins with few million dollars volume, that is how the problem was created. You do know why they do this right?

They do it because they have zero clue how things work and they see a 1 dollar coin and think that it could be thousands like bitcoin and that is how they invest into it, there are many idiots who seriously think like that. You hear people "xyz will be new bitcoin!!" and you get what they want, they hope for that coin to 10000x so that they could be rich, they do not think any other stat or fact because then their hopes will go down.
3660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: March 24, 2021, 10:56:16 AM
Remember there is only one king of crypto market and that its bitcoin. Rest all alt coins are like followers of bitcoin. When bitcoin goes up alt coins goes up and vice verse. Alt coins are not in a position to move the market on there own.
Yeah, as per many veteran members of this forum, we do not need any altcoin investments as bitcoin itself got all the power of good returns for our money. I agree with them because as per them we do not need any diversification in this crypto space.

1. Btc pump then alts dump
2. Alts pump then btc dump
3. Both btc and alts follow each other
They all happen during their time, and by the way the third scenario you have mentioned is not really how it works. Yes a lot of altcoins might follow Bitcoin to whatever directions it goes to because they correlate with BTC at about 90% (more or less), but it is not every altcoins in the market that correlates with Bitcoin and when you match some of them you will see that they have like 5% or even 0% correlation with bitcoin. So there is nothing like all alts following bitcoin, the right way to put it should be BTC and some alts follows each other.
