And concentrated oxygen just so he isn't short of breath even if his symptoms are mild. WTF he would surely even be hooked to one of the very few available "artificial lung" blood oxygenator if needed.

Also I am sure everyone around him will be using top-notch PPE's to make sure to not increase his viral load.

Esto ya se sabía que iba a pasar. No sé si fue en este hilo donde dije que la razón de que el gobierno dijera que no tenía sentido ponerse mascarillas la población en general, se debía únicamente a la carencia que sufría el personal sanitario y no a ningún criterio "médico". Una vez solucionado este tema, por supuesto que todo el mundo debe utilizar mascarillas (como siempre ha sido) y que además debería ser obligatorio para salir de cada una vez que se reduzcan las restricciones.

Yo ya he recibido un pedido que hice hará unas tres semanas, y eso que puse el envío estándar. También tiene un envio más rápido, pero yo prefiero ser previsor que pagar de más. Las tienen en stock.

En cuanto a la recuperación... Me parece un escenario super optimista en el que no existan recaídas o nuevas olas de contagio, etc... aparte de que recuperar, prácticamente, el 100% de aquí a fin de año es poco menos que una utopía... pero las distintas fases de recuperación a medida que se vayan eliminando restricciones sí parece más o menos "plausible".

Afortunadamente no estamos hablando de un escenario de guerra en el que todas las infraestructuras de producción han quedado destruídas y hay que reconstruirlas de cero. Está todo intacto y simplemente hay que ir resumiendo la actividad a medida de que vaya siendo posible sin riesgos.

El factor tiempo entre inicio de síntomas, diagnóstico y notificación de cada caso invidual obviamente no lo tenemos, pero teniendo en cuenta lo similares que son las tres gráficas es fácil calcular cual es el retraso (medio) entre cada uno de esos estados. De hecho es el valor medio el que nos interesa, pues dentro de los casos individuales habrá de todo.

La importancia de la gráfica de inicio de síntomas es que es lo más cercano que podemos tener al momento de infección. Y se aprecia claramente como esa gráfica tiene un máximo en los días 13 a 15. A partir de ahí, que es cuando empiezan se empieza a hablar de la importancia de la "distancia social" y las medidas de confinamiento. Esto es normal.... pero lo realmente importante es el impacto tan brutal que hay en la bajada que es lo que confirma el éxito de las medidas.

Que la cifra real de infectados sea 10 veces más (cosa que yo sospecho como mínimo) o que el estudio sólo contemple los casos "hospitalarios" es irrelevante... lo que es importante es la forma tan clara que tiene la gráfica. En cuanto al tamaño de la muestra, unos 40000 casos de los que se cuenta con la información de inicio de síntomas, es más que suficiente para extrapolar resultados con poco margen de error.

Pero fíjate bien en la gráfica, que yo sé que entiendes mucho más que yo de análisis de datos.

Olvida el hecho de que el número de confirmados depende de cuántos test se hagan y en qué circunstancias (por ejemplo sólo personas que llegan al hospital con graves síntomas.. que viene a ser la actualidad real). Fíjate en las barras rojas (diagnóstico) y, sobre todo, las azules (primeros síntomas de la infección). Ves a dónde quiero llegar? Ese dato te lo dice todo sobre la situación actual! El aislamiento ha sido un éxito total! Pocas veces se ha visto una gráfica tan clara y concluyente. Y tan positiva. Sólo queda recoger los frutos... desde YA.

En cuanto a las restricciones, obviamente seguirán durante todo el año, sólo que de diferentes aspectos.. como por ejemplo salir a la calle con máscarilla, dentro de meses bares con terraza y distancia mínima entre mesas, colegios a partir de septiembre, mayores y personas especialmente vulnerables en autoaislamiento por su propio bien, etc...

Lo bueno es que el confinamiento ha servido para concienciar a toda la población de la importancia del distanciamiento físico (que no necesariamente "social").

También se ha ganado tiempo para ampliar la capacidad del sistema sanitario. Hemos llegado demasiado justos (teniendo que hacer triage para el acceso a respiradores) pero ya no debería haber tanto problema en el futuro. La gente (sobre todo los que tienen menos riesgo que son la mayoría) tienen que seguir contagiándose.. pero poco a poco.
