41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: January 22, 2020, 03:26:08 AM
What I meant more about was that there should be regulation, for example, regarding the need to register a company, so that in case of scam there was certainty that we would be able to track an existing company and not ghosts on the Internet. The feeling of such security would certainly encourage investors and make bounty campaign pay well again.
Most icos are registered somewhere and that has not stopped them from scamming investors and bounty hunters, everything that could be tried to improve the market of icos has been tried and it has failed, it is time to admit the reality, icos are never going to be as good as they were and while this may make some people sad I think it is for the better since many of those icos scammed a fortune out of investors and most of those that went through that experience since then have recovered some of the money they lost and they do not want to risk it in icos again.
42  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: January 22, 2020, 02:36:52 AM
You can trade with margin as many cryptotrading platform are now giving 100x for margin trading so with 50$ funds you can still trade half bitcoin but if bitcoin price go 100$ down than you loss all of your money. You can try your luck with binary options but chances of you making any money is really tiny. Rather use that money to create something like website or online store which you can flip for more money.
It is not really worth to try margin trading with such a low amount of money, even the most minuscule movement in the price of bitcoin will be enough to lose all your capital, it is better to be realistic about this, he should get more capital before he begins to trade because it does not matter if he is profitable as a trader his profits are still going to be very small and it will be better for him to get another job than to trade with such a low amount of money.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: January 22, 2020, 01:58:50 AM
There is no new rich people because we haven't seen the next full bull cycle yet. In around a year or two there will be a full on bull run again like we had during/after the previous bitcoin halvings. When bitcoin goes to the new all time high again, there will be a period of a few months when we see everyone making money out of longs again doesn't matter where they buy in. And after that there will be rekt people again who will long the top and the cycle will repeat.

What those people are not understanding is that those that eventually become wealthy through cryptocurrencies harvest their profits on the bull run but they sow those profits when the market is flat or when it is going down, if anyone is trying to become rich when the price of bitcoin is already in the middle of a bull run then that person will be lucky to get any profits, the ones that really make money are those that invest when the market seems to be doing nothing for a long time.
You are right we take advantage of the fallen market and never get worried about situations change, profit from crypto matters on persons thinking and planning as if we will plan well to buy at the dip and sell high it will be a good strategy. Being rich does not mean to get a high market all the time but it means to get an opportunity for buying a low price then profit depends on us that how long we keep waiting without panic selling.
Just take a look at what it is happening in the market right now, there are many that want the price of bitcoin to go above 9000 and most likely they bought just a few days ago, but those that were smart bought when bitcoin was below 7000 and by now they have profits between 25% to 35% in just a few weeks while those that bought recently are hoping they will get some profits, that is the difference, those that bought weeks ago do not really care if the price keeps going up or not they are already obtaining profits and that is enough for them.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the right time to buy altcoin? on: January 22, 2020, 01:26:14 AM
if you have analytical techniques I think it can reduce the risk of your self-confidence, in my opinion the bear market is over, we will see altcoin recovering like 2017 hopefully, and keep in mind if you invest all your funds it will be very risky
Altcoins are bound to recover at some point in the future but I honestly do not see another year like 2017 happening to altcoins, that year was incredible and anyone that bought altcoins a few months before could have gotten rich but people are a lot more sceptical about altcoins and this is going to be especially true when bitcoin is going to go through the halving, most investors are not going to put any attention to altcoins but you can take advantage of it by accumulating altcoins for a fair price and then selling them for a high price in the future.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run or Bull Trap on: January 22, 2020, 01:07:42 AM
its not bull run yet, but bull trap it depends on you Smiley.. if you buy now then you must probably waiting for the bull trap.. as if you do not know how the market works. if bitcoin reaches to 15k then you can think its a bull run
If you look at the charts it is clear that everyone is confused about the direction the market should take, there are many traders predicting a bull run and there are as many traders predicting a drop in the price, personally I think the bears can still take control of the market but if they do not do that during the next days then we may see an increase in the price but I doubt it will be a bull run since I do not expect that to happen after the halving.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: January 21, 2020, 01:41:46 AM
All my expectations is on bitcoin now since i stopped keeping many altcoins and sold off to buy more bitcoin, now i have 0.5btc and i hope bitcoin will reach 20k if not a new ATH at least so i will make the half of 20k this year
I think your expectations are kind of high for this year, bitcoin will reach its ATH again but I am not so sure it is going to happen during this year, bitcoin is still having trouble to go past 9k and if this continues for too long it is possible the price will go down again, I do not know if we will reach a new low but at least I think we may reach 8k again and that may kill any opportunity we may have to see a bull market before the halving that will happen during this year.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read trading charts? on: January 21, 2020, 01:20:24 AM
Reading and understanding charts seemed impossible for me when I initially started at the phase but as soon as I got to learn majority of things, I found it easier for me to understand the graphs and patterns. It usually takes a hell lot of research, Immense knowledge and the will to denote majority of your time in learning at the initial phase.

There are some books which can make it easier for you to understand the charts and patterns but those books would have hundreds and thousands of pages which you have to go though. So it might never be an easy task, but if you have the guts to work harder, than no one can stop you from being a success ahead.
If you want to earn money then you need to go through those thousands of pages because if you are not doing it you can be sure that someone else is and he is going to beat you in the markets, I understand the desire to make money without making a lot of effort but trading is not really the market for that, if you want to be a successful trader then you need to be smarter and have better skills than the majority of the traders and that is not an easy thing to do.
48  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long Term VS Daily Trading on: January 21, 2020, 12:59:51 AM
Long term holding is a popular way of making money in the bear market, but any investment is risky if you do not have good knowledge because this market is really harsh. I think by all means you have to ensure your current profit and always set a stop loss to avoid losing money when participating. Beside, when choosing long term investment, you need to make sure that investment does not affect your current life.

I usually only choose coins that are in the top 50 and limit investment of new coins because I know for sure that new coins usually only go up in a short amount of time.
No, long term holding is a popular way to deal with a bear market but it is not a way to make money, the only way to make money in a bear market is to short the market but many people do not have the experience to do it since many investors cannot even earn money during a bull run so they are not going to earn money in a bear market, the ones that earn in those circumstances are traders and while it is tempting to join them it is not as tempting when you learn that more than 90% of them lose money.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think is a good sustainable % to make from day trading? on: January 21, 2020, 12:37:28 AM
If you day trade Bitcoin/USD, through ups and downs in the market, what do you think is a good percentage of your total trading stash to make on a daily basis over a long period of time?
It really depends on what are your abilities as a trader, let us suppose that you are able to double your money with day trading each year, if we apply the formula of compounded interest we get that in order to get the profits you want you will need to get 0.3014% daily, however that percentage does not take into account the fees and the taxes you could need to pay for those profits so you will need a higher percentage to double your money every year, but if you could only profit from the market 50% per year then you will need to earn 0.2513% daily before taxes.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: January 21, 2020, 12:18:13 AM
Don't exchange BTC and ETH that you have just to participate in IEO because most of them will make it when listing. The money you place on BTC and ETH is also an investment, hold both for the long term
A very important fact that is mostly forgotten by most newbies, they are always looking for a new investment not realizing that if they are holding bitcoin or even ethereum they are already holding some of the most profitable investments that they could ask for, anyone that is thinking about investing in icos or ieos should think about it twice because most likely you are going to lose your money and not only that you will lose the potential profits that you could have gotten as well.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It is right to come back? on: January 19, 2020, 03:42:44 AM
in my opinion bitcoin will rise because bitcoin in 2020 will be halving, this is certainly a time when everyone has been waiting for of course this will attract investors to buy bitcoin because the amount of bitcoin will decrease
During the previous two halvings the price dropped before the halving about 30%, it is true that after that we had some important growth but all of those expecting the market to grow before the halving could be mistaken in their interpretation of the circumstances the market will go through, it is better to be very attentive of what will happen in the market during those moments because as an investor our goal is to make the most money and losing 30% before the halving is not really the best outcome we can get.
So what are you suggesting? We should move our bitcoin to stable coin and wait? I think it's bad idea to keep judging present condition with the past, just because btc loses 30% before halving in the past doesn't mean it will repeat same step again, this time things might be different
I am suggesting you that you watch the price closely, that is all, the past does not allow you to predict the future but it can be a very good guide, nothing like what we are seeing now happened back then and that is something important to notice, there are two explanations for this, one is that this bull market is going to be very strong and the price is going up even before the halving and the other that this is a bull trap, choose the one that you believe is the correct one.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 19, 2020, 03:17:33 AM
I have a feeling, that if such a rapid green raise will continue , ICOs, as well as all other forgotten altcoins will raise from ashes. It is only the matter of time, until people would want to invest in projects that would be able to deliver big profit.
If the price begins to skyrocket again then we may see the recovery of many altcoins but I doubt we are going to see the recovery of icos, investors are not dumb they have been burned many times by icos just to trust them again with their money when they have done nothing to deserve to get that trust back, obviously some investors in their desire to make profits will try their luck but after the bad results they will get the rest of the investors will look at that and will once and for all forget about icos forever.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price in January 2020 will touch 10k, What do you think? on: January 19, 2020, 02:54:24 AM
I think that will not happen. At the moment price is not so far from 10000$ and Bitcoin has shown a significant rise this month but I expect further corrections to happen. Although situation in the market tends to be optimistic I don't think that Bitcoin will cross 9000$ this month, this might be the max value that we will see this month.
As I am writing this the price is now above 9000 and if the price closes above that price then most likely we are still going to continue to see some positive movement for bitcoin, quite honestly I do not understand why bitcoin is moving like this, nothing important has happened and the halving is still months away but for some reason people are very optimistic about the price and if that is the case then you need to take advantage of it and try to make some money with the movements of the market.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How NOT To Get Scammed on: January 19, 2020, 02:33:14 AM
I got scammed by char token. They first did an airdrop and then they open up their own exchange where we can buy and sell char token and some other token. When we saw the buy and sell is running and the price is very good I bought some token from my local friends and exchange it in that exchange but when I withdraw then they are asking for proof that I bought from a person. that is not how a good company behave with their customer. But still, I gave them every proof they were asking for but still, they didn't pay me my money. I can still remember they took my 150$+ money. They did it with a lot of people. so I recommend that you don't be fooled by any project if you saw a very good price in any exchange or CMC. Do some research first because it could be a scam.
That is really common and something like that has happened to everyone once in a while and then the developers of those useless coins wonder why no one wants to promote their project, once you have been scammed several times you are never going to give the benefit of the doubt to those projects and will just assume that every single one of them is a scam, it can be unfair for some of the projects out there but I do not care as long as that keeps my coins in my wallet safe from scammers.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT Tether safe? on: January 19, 2020, 02:01:02 AM
Personally, I periodically had doubts related to those litigations which, over and over again, had to be resolved by the company owning Tether. However, the latest news made me especially happy. It turns out that in the latest trial of Bitfinex and Tether, all claims from the court were withdrawn, which once again tells us that the company coped with difficulties, which means it increased its level of trust.
To be honest I have my doubts as well and it is why from time to time the price of tether goes down and it is not as stable as you may think because those rumours begin to become stronger, in fact there are rumours the reason we had a bull market in 2017 was because a huge amount of tether was printed, I do not know if it is true but those are the kind of things people say, so if you are worried about it then you should never hold any tether for any significant amount of time.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: January 18, 2020, 04:13:01 AM

I feel like maybe it could be a governmental trouble if we put economics in the school, sure at college level I can understand it and its mostly high end mathematics but when you talk about economics there is politics involved as well, just to give an example how would a socialist country work with economics, how would a democratic socialist one, how does a capitalist one, how does a communist one, these are all economics as well. Teaching kids economics at a very young age should be regarding "saving money" and thats the key stuff, postponing pleasure in order to have a bigger relief at the end should be thought at a very young age in order to stop consumerism but we shouldn't bring politics into economics too much as well.
The subject of the economy is incredibly simple but it has become the battlefield of politicians because they believe that the natural behaviours of people should bend to their will and a basic study of economics says that is impossible, just to give you an example, most countries are heavily indebted, if that was anyone else then we will say that you need to cut your spending and begin to pay your debt, but governments want to believe they can spend all the money they want and suffer no consequences for it.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 18, 2020, 03:48:42 AM
I've tried it on my work computer a couple of times, but mostly I trade with my phone because it's more convenient and I can trade anywhere I'm as long as there's an internet connection. I don't think it's a terrible idea as long as the computer you're using is fully protected and the anti-virus has been updated and you're also making sure you log out whenever you don't use it, especially if the work computer is common to anyone at work to make sure that nobody can use your account.

I do not know if it is such a good idea to trade in the computer of your job, even if you can secure it and you make sure that it is not infected by viruses if it is discovered that you are trading when you are supposed to be working you are likely to get in trouble, and in the worst case scenario you could be fired and that will be a very difficult situation to be in since very few people can sustain themselves with the money they make trading the markets.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: January 18, 2020, 03:15:56 AM
I've heard predictions like this, long time ago. In fact, in the year 2017, I was one of those who believed that Bitcoin could increase to above $100,000, that was what necessitated my buying at a very high price. I won't be fooled again, the value of Bitcoin could increase to any extent, I'll stick to my budget.
And that is the right thing to do, many people are trying to influence you, you must remember that every single person in the market is your opponent and they want you to lose money to them, so whenever you read a prediction specially one that comes from someone that is famous you need to ask yourself if they want you to do something that you do not want? It is better to follow our own strategy, even if I know that I am not as good as some traders out there at least I know my strategy can make money and that is enough for me.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin now Pump and Dump? on: January 18, 2020, 02:45:36 AM
Well the mcafees prediction might still be possible if we start pumping at the beginning of the next year. Surely with all the new money flowing in and the new highs this bull market should be much stronger than the ones we've seen before. This means that as now wer're not surprised by 500 dollar moves, next year we might be not surprised by 5k-10k moves to the up side. Everything is possible with bitcoin, hopefully we'll pump so hard it will melt faces...

That prediction was never possible to begin with, the price of bitcoin is not going to go that high during the next months to reach his prediction but most likely we are going to see positive movements in the price of bitcoin, what we need to know is if the movement we are seeing right now is the beginning of the bull market everyone was expecting or this is a trap and eventually the price will begin to crash and it will keep generating new lows.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value on: January 18, 2020, 02:10:02 AM
Hi everyone, I'm new to the platform and a new crypto-currency lover and passionate about blockchain technology. I have lots of ideas and questions about crypto currencies and my first one, could Bitcoin see its value increase as much as in 2017? Thank you  Tongue
Reaching and surpassing its all-time high price in the market is still possible to happen and but at this moment we still don't know where bitcoin will go because the price will fluctuate. By just exploring here I have a lot of prediction on the price of bitcoin and take note that some of them tell that bitcoin will reach the 50,000$ to 100,000$. However, the future price of bitcoin is still questionable and unpredictable that's why we should keep on believing as long many people support and invest on it. Besides, if ever there will be a new bull market we might witness a new all-time high price but based on the current state of market there is no any bull run sign.
While bitcoin is going to move in the way it moves regardless of our wishes a price of 50k or even 100k will without a doubt create excitement for bitcoin in the media but I am sure that if we reach that price anytime soon then the price is going to crash at an amazing speed and it took us years to recover from the last one and I do not want to think how many years we will need for the market to recover after such crash, so it is better that bitcoin grows slowly instead of going up rapidly like what we are seeing now.
