Devs, is it possible to fork the f@h software and make it more GPU efficient so we can really get our protein on?

The F@H software has some closed source parts so it's not possible and I think it's GPU efficient already. The F@H project started 9 years before Bitcoin was released so they should have a good idea how to design software.

Odd question; Why do the exchanges have such small balances of Curecoin being traded? Are all of these miners just sitting on them? Sharexcoin has 46 being traded, Bittrex has less than 200. Poloniex has the most at 1650 Cur as of posting this. I have never heard of Poloniex until someone linked it above.

I have 89 Cur atm and am still debating on sitting or just playing with them. I know I don't have nearly the largest rig so I just wonder on where the volume of Cur is?

And remember, don't be a troll. I'm a team #curecoin as well. Just a simple question/observation.

I've pondered that and the only reason I came up with is because it's a coin worth holding as there's potential in it.

I don't think it will replace BTC but it could be the next big thing next to BTC.

Make the coin PoS and make amultipool to pump the price. No mining, only folding. Coins for folders to be generated like PoS interest from the whole network. If you dont do this price will die, because folding is extremely profitable and all people will dump hard, as they will still be on plus. Then the inertion will kill the price to the end and people will leave this gr8 project. At least make a multipool. People will support this way CURE again by mining other coins and pumping more profit for folders and themselves as well, being paid in CURE.

It is POS.
What?? What are these mining pools and ASICs for then?

... do you know what POS is?
Yes, I know - proof of stake, a coin, which is not mineable. What is your definition?

Then how would you characterise a coin like PPC?

was seriously considering supporting the coin, but the visible dev is behaving terribly, and methinks I'd like to know more about the 'team' of devs.

Not sure which dev you're referring to but I don't see any terrible behaviour.

And the devs are known publicly.

I don't undersrtand why people are killing their profit...Dumping without brains...

Mostly weak hands / new to cryptos.

Almost everyone can see the point of this coin and its potential.

do your research somewhere other than the Cinni thread. Like i said, most everything important gets deleted. You will see many posts screaming price rise, so be careful.

So I recommend you start your own thread so nothing can get deleted.

professional tends to keep quiet about it or use their authority to stop it(even lying it's all not true) if it threatens their financial gain ^^ you know what i mean

Yeah, those sneaky cancer-loving doctors...

THIS thread is about a project using THIS method to advance research. If you don't believe it, that's your choice, but keep it out of THIS thread. It's not for your (or the other poster's) theories, it's for CureCoin and Folding@Home.

Not derailing things is basic politeness.

WTF is up with everyone stomping on free speech ?

Are you hoping to find a cure or pad your ego ?

I used to fold until I realized that F@H is nothing more than a false hope and a self righteous ego trip for most involved.

Who needs WUs when you have carrot n mango juice ! Grin

Yea all that stuff you're taking is messing with your thought process.

Hello,
I bought especially for the folding a 6 core AMD CPU and I tried with 5 cards, but still 0%  Huh

Give f@h 30-45mins to get up to full speed.

Hi

How close are we getting to an OSX wallet?

Someone posted up a mac wallet a few pages back.

Hello! I am mining over 24 hourse on pool cryptobullionpools.com, my username - lemial, my balance 0! This is normal?

My folding frofile: http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=userpage&teamnum=224497&username=lemial

Yes. You have to wait 24-72 hours but the pool is being improved.

And for your reference, you're not mining. You're folding.

What is by far the best single GPU for folding?

Consumer GPU? Probably Nvidia Titan.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 15, 2014, 07:25:49 PM
I have a 5x7950, however, only 3 of them are working, the others 2 are working rather slow. Is it because of my CPU core that cannot handle the 5 GPUs?

Probably, try disabling the cpu from folding and watch the cpu usage.

I disabled the CPU folding already, CPU usage is 100% now.

Then yes that's your bottleneck. You could split your 5 GPUs into 2 computers or get a better CPU for the system.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 15, 2014, 06:57:38 PM
heya, i want to confirm i got my  CURE(coins)  from folding today ,after 2 days and half of waiting Smiley.

i would like to ask if any1 try it to OC the GPU with TRIXX or afterburn  for better PPD?

tip for charity : BLf33QmfdZ33k6RCvXHGmy642Va3JUb7JF

cheers Smiley

You can but I'll be careful as folding is very "sensitive" towards corruption of the work unit and will be discarded.

Cudaminer is giving me grief - has anyone at all got CureCoin mining on an nVidia platform?

What are you trying to do exactly?

GPUs are meant to fold not mine for Curecoin. You shouldn't be using Cudaminer at all but the f@h client.
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN CureCoin is launched 5/10/2014 on: May 15, 2014, 06:27:52 PM
Please, help me!

It recognizes 5 GPUs and 1 CPU, but GPUs stay on 0 %!

And I have a single core CPU and 5 x R9 270 non-x.

Curecoin is not the same as previous coins.

You need 1 cpu thread per gpu.
