I don't get the unfairness part. You could have reserved your place in april. The reservation list was open for a week. You can order now and probably be in the first 500 anyway. p.s. And I'm definitely in the wrong timezone. I registered in April on the site and for the newsletter, there was no word I should've taken the queue. Now they need to deal with their incompetence somehow, it's no good when thousands of suckers make 500 random dudes rich. This has been ongoing for a while, and it's quite unlikely to be a scam.
I, for one, have bought a few chips in each one of his rounds. I'm quite confident that he's not scamming anybody.
I have raised a legitimate concern. Just because it has been going on for awhile doesn't mean it is entirely legitimate. The chips won't be shipped for awhile and therefore no one has received their chips in this or previous group buys. There is no reliable track record because previous group buys are not fully completed with actual shipment to the group members. I am not saying that Steamboat is a scammer and I am not trying to discredit him, but it would be nice if he did give some information to JohnK. Then I recommend you go with another group buy that uses JohnK as an escrow service. |

So if it was released during morning/afternoon US time, it's a US scamcoin because the rest of the world is sleeping? Obviously it's just well timed, because it gives max chance for botnet/dev to instamine the coin before a lot of people are aware of it. Also: at least 75% of the forum and alt coin miners are US based. I don't think so. I think it's more likely to be mined with botnets and AWS instances if it was released during US morning/afternoon. And I think 75% is way too high. I think europeans/asians are more likely to be alt coin miners. |

Well, in that case it's super impressive that you have coin to sell since I was one of the first miners (solo and pool) and jumped ship at 2.7 diff when the network speed from the botnet had already hit 1.3 GH/s and the most coin anyone was reporting owning was around 200, before pools started. So I guess either you were one of the insta/preminers or you have had at least 100 MH/s on low latency aimed at the network for 10 hours. I had 2 mh/s since launch and I have 3k coins and I was one of the first miners as well. I only just stopped mining solo. |

Doesn't anyone this its a bit strange the only file in the windows client is an executable... no DLL's, just a single exe?
I also like that all the files on github are from 7 hours in the future. 7 hours until the payload goes live? I also like it when you think there are no other countries other then your own or that they couldn't possibly be from a different timezone. |

I missed it? Well it didnt happen because not enough people wanted to play. Hopefully they will do it again and at a better time of day. Registration was open for a long time, just not enough people were interested. Don't think time of day was much of a factor. Probably is for me. I'm UTC+8. There should be a countdown clock in the free-roll registration area. |
