To NXT Wallet 6122084737303019172. Please return my coins to 86162509365658888 as I need them.

My mother is in a coma and that can be used for her care. If you have a conscience you know what to do.

Lol why not.

I'm interested.

Hi all,

Just had my wallet password hacked/stolen.

500k from my wallet (86162509365658888) was moved to this address 6122084737303019172.

I'm guessing no one can really help on this. (Yes running AV and on an OSX system)

Just a reminder to use really long passwords. Sad

If you dont mind me asking can you tell us more about your password. How long was it, was it real words, did it contain real words, did it contain true random. The more information the better. I would like to gauge the progression of the rainbow tables.

20 random characters generated by my password manager.
does anyone else find it hard to believe that someone could brute force 20 characters of true random?

Well, I doubt there's a keylogger on the system although there is a possibility however how small.

I'm not asking for handouts or anything.

I'm just pretty depressed by it and just reminding NXT users to use longer passwords.

its not that i think you are lying. im just thinking about the math

I've also thought about it and that makes me worried for others.

But I could have a compromised system which made it easier for the hacker.

The transfer was on January 14 and just now you came here and announce it ?

Didn't use the wallet during that time and I just found out about it given the sudden rise in price of NXT so I started up the wallet.

When was the last time you updated your wallet?
I know there was infected versions way back in the first days of january, can't remember which versions it was

I remember using 0.52, then 0.55 and today I just upgraded to 0.58.

Also:
 - Did you use an online wallet (not on localhost/127.0.0.1), even once?
 - Did you use the modified 0.4.8 wallet from several weeks ago?
 - Have you used anything apart from the official client?

Nope local wallet.

Always used the official client. Sad

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: emunie is NOT a scam on: January 13, 2014, 06:54:47 PM
They should ban eMunie from BTT.

emunie  has nothing to do with crypto, this is just a company owned by 1 person and 50 investors, this is not the way crypto should evolve

let them move to Ihub and nasdaq.

I'm pretty sure you're stupid.

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTC] Vertcoin - Adaptive N-factor in Scrypt - No more ASICs on: January 13, 2014, 07:14:29 AM

My config for 400MH/s on R9 290:

"scrypt" : true,
"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-engine" : "1000",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"intensity" : "18",
"temp-overheat" : "80",
"temp-cutoff" : "85",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "512",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"shaders" : "0",
"thread-concurrency" : "24550",
"no-pool-disable" : true

Turning intensity down to 13 makes the desktop usable with no noticable UI lag, and loses only about 15% of hashrate.

KH/s. Not MH/s.

I knew it had to be a GPU miner, man way to ruin these "cpu only" coins.

He's trolling.

I think botnets are having a field day with this coin. Unfortunate.

can someone answear? how much time do you have to wait with your miner open till you receive any coins in your wallet?

Wow at this question.

Botnets must be going crazy on this coin.

1xi3, 1xi5 and 1xi7 going on this and no standard blocks yet.
