Hi everybody,

just a quick update on the bounty distribution since there seems to be confusion about it.

Firstly, we have always stated that the bounty contribution will start end of January, which it did. We never said that all bounties will be paid out by the end of January.

Further, we have third-party bounty managers (just like Avirunes) for different communities. Some of these have been paid out so far, Bitcointalk has not yet started.

Please know that this is a batch-driven process and not everybody will receive their tokens at the same time. Everyone should have their bounty tokens within the next 1-2 weeks. Note that this is the only time we are making an announcement regarding the bounties in this (non-bounty) thread.

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

Dear Community,

All KYC invites have now been sen to eligible contributors! 🎉

If you have not received yours yet, please check your dashboard as the invite may have been marked as spam.

Check your dashboard at 👉 https://utrust.io/dashboard

Should you not see the KYC process in your dashboard, there are two possible reasons for it:

1. You have not selected a country in your dashboard yet. Please log into your dashboard now and select it. You will then receive your invite within 24 hours.

2.  You are from a country that was not eligible to participate. If this is the case, our legal team will be in touch with you via email throughout the upcoming weeks.

Our token is scheduled to release in 2 days on 28 December 2017.

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

Dear Community,

Today we are issuing a small update on our KYC process.

Our development team is working effortlessly on the new KYC procedure — powered by Jumio — that will be able to process thousands of ICO contributors per day, starting at end of this week.

If you contributed up to $500, please have these documents ready:

- ID Document
- A recent proof of address (e.g. bank statement, utility bill)

For all investors that invested over $500, we continue to send out invites every day (Monday — Friday) and should complete this process in approximately 10 working days.

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

Seriously, all the crap i see people posting in here... Sounds like this is the first time you were asked for filling a kyc, get used to it. It's going to happen in every ico soon. And if they are not doing a kyc in ico, they are probably scamming you.

It’s not about the KYC though, it’s about a lack of communication and continued (unexplained) delays in their KYC process. The dates keep shifting.

The delays were not unexplained at all. The KYC provider that accepted us (IDNow) has oversold and underdelivered. This was explained our last email and on our Telegram announcement channel. Let me post it again here:

Dear Community,

First of all, we would like to apologize for the long wait — in the future, we will be enhancing our efforts to keep you updated, in a faster and more efficient manner. 💪

Last week, we have started the account verification process by sending out invitations to our investors. This is an automated process and invitations are being sent out in batches. If you haven’t yet, you will receive your invitation within the next  2-3 weeks.

Once you receive the email, you will need both, an identification documentas well as a proof of address. For the former, please check out the approved documents here. 👈

Unfortunately, and due to circumstances beyond our control, our KYC provider has informed us that they are no longer able to accept driver’s licenses as proof of ID. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused and have updated the list above to reflect this.

For the proof of address, any official invoice/bill/letter from your utility provider (gas, water, electricity, internet, phone, …) as well as credit card bills, bank statement and similar will work as long as they are not older than 3 months.

Our objective is to release the tokens in December. We intend to give all of our Contributors the opportunity to perform the KYC procedure before this time, but it is also your responsibility to ensure that you have all the necessary documentation readily available.

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

We also then send another email, which was this one:

Quote
Dear Community,

As you already know, our KYC account verification did not live up to our high standards and expectations. In order to address this issue immediately, we have been in discussions with our legal team.

Today we are happy to announce the engagement of another KYC service provider, Jumio.
This will allow all those who invested up to $500 in our ICO to be verified in fast and efficient manner. Additionally, we are now allowed to accept additional types of documents.

You can see all the accepted documents for these investors here:

https://www.jumio.com/id-verification/netverify/supported-countries/

Please note that if you invested up to $500 you will only require:

- One of the ID documents listed above.

- A proof of residence, such as a recent bill or bank statement.

Following a short testing and implementation period for the Jumio integration, we expect to be able to process thousands of investors per day by next week. We will send out new invitations as soon as feasible. 💥

Those who already completed KYC will not have to do it again.

All the best,
Your UTRUST Team

I strongly suggest everybody here to check their emails and whitelist "utrust.io" not to miss anything. Alternatively you can also join our Telegram announcement channel here: https://t.me/utrustannouncements.

You can see the right revision of the total countries here: [...]
Got it, thank you.

What about the other questions?

Can you please elaborate on this and more importantly provide a valid source for your statement?
Who created these regulations? Who enforces you to comply with the "highest" level of regulations?

Why did IDnow decide to discard driver's licenses as a proof of identification? They are not listed as valid proof on their web site in the first place and why did it not happen before you started the KYC?

My knowledge of the legal processes is limited, but I can reference the clients that IDNow has are very high profile. They include banks such as N26, CommerzBank, Fidor, Sparkasse, UBS, Hertz and others. All of them go through the same processes. In our particular case, what I know and can try to explain, is that we cannot sell the cryptocurrency contributions on our own. Instead, they're stuck until their source fully verified and only then can a bank (!) do the conversion for us. Banks by reputation are extremely careful with the deposits they process, and this is the very same thing (regardless of being crypto).

You can verify the BaFin compliant countries and their accepted IDs on your own here: [...]
Thank you but I don't see any mention of a proof of residence or a signature there.

Previous versions of your linked document do not contain any changes in the regulatory process regarding driver's licenses. Even v1 from 2016 does not allow a driver's license as a proof.

You can see the right revision of the total countries here:

https://idnowgmbh.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=119734274&navigatingVersions=true

You see that until recently, they did indeed include Driver License's.

There are different levels of KYC and we have to comply with the highest which include Nationality. [...] IDNow [...] now only relies on ID cards and passports. [...] we will do everything necessary to comply with active regulation [...].
Can you please elaborate on this and more importantly provide a valid source for your statement?

Who created these regulations? Who enforces you to comply with the "highest" level of regulations?

According to IDnow, "All you need is your ID card, an internet connection, and a webcam or a smartphone." [1], which contradicts the requirement for an ID, a proof of residence and a signature.

Why did IDnow decide to discard driver's licenses as a proof of identification? They are not listed as valid proof on their web site in the first place and why did it not happen before you started the KYC?

This would surely help to resolve questions many users are asking themselves right now.

You can verify the BaFin compliant countries and their accepted IDs on your own here:

https://idnowgmbh.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/19595393/List+of+Available+ID+Documents+per+Country+-+BaFin+compliant

IDNow contradicts their own FAQs I'm afraid.

Kakumei, KYC? and if i can't complete it before earlier than mid January as i'm at the other side of the globe, wtf? Can i receive a refund then or my tokens will be lost? Sad(((

Just take a proof of address copy with you (e.g. the most recent bill you paid). It doesn't matter where you are then.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: December 02, 2017, 11:46:25 AM
I can see a class action law suit coming on strong very shortly if these fools don't get there act together. It looks like they are doing there dirtiest to make it as difficult as possible for people to recieve there tokens. A photographic driving licence is a universally accepted form of identification by all govermental organisations.

I'm afraid you would be mistaken.

There are different levels of KYC and we have to comply with the highest which include Nationality.

Driver's Licenses can be obtained by anybody. For example, somebody from Iran (on the financial blacklist) could potentially (and easily) obtain a German driver's license. For this reason IDNow can no longer accept it and now only relies on ID cards and passports. We understand that for some people this may be frustrating, but we will do everything necessary to comply with active regulation to build a sound framework for years to come.

I contacted you several times. Here in the forum. Along with other people I am still waiting for an answer which, so far, you've been avoiding by cherry-picking the questions you like to answer.

Or are you saying that you are not officially representing utrust?

This is an announcement thread. I’m the community manager and we’re not a 2-3 people team. We have an extensive legal team that advises us on everything. For obvious reasons I cannot and will not provide one on one support here on the forums. We have dedicated staff taking care of legal inquiries that you can reach at legal@utrust.io.

As I have said above, these are the channels you need to go through. If you PM me your email address I can expedite your answer, but this is all I can do for you here on the forums.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 10, 2017, 04:24:13 PM
We are working on an updated version of the previous to avoid the confusion some users experienced. Rest assured we’re bringing the logos back but make sure we’re making it very clear that we are COMPLIANT with Swiss regulation and not partnering up with or are in any other way associated with, FINMA (apart from being a Swiss company).

To say they we are not more compliant than other ICOs is incorrect and a statement made by a person that will say anything to further his agenda. There are no regulations for ICOs, but crypto assets are considered real assets in Switzerland. As soon as they leave the blockchain you are by association regulated and in need for compliance. We understand how this can be misleading, which is why we are now changing the website. But again, you are automatically in need to be compliant if you as a company want to convert crypto currency obtained in e.g. an ICO.

Therefore, to say that there are no applicable regulations is simply incorrect.

Dear utrust, I am still waiting for your explanation: When I bought tokens during the pre-ICO, from whom did I purchase these tokens?

To my knowledge you have never contacted us to talk about your case, or at least I have never heard about it. Instead of spreading information carefully selected to further what feels like your personal agenda against us, you can contact us through the official channels (Telegram, Email) and we can talk about a solution for your case, if you are actually looking for a solution to your pre-ICO purchase.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔵 UTRUST 🔵 The future of online payments is here. on: November 10, 2017, 01:16:43 PM
FINMA make the rules and we follow and therefore we are - as you say - regulated by them. We have KYC & AML in place and comply with all the current regulations laid upon us by them. More importantly, we have never stated anywhere that are partners or have any kind of partnership with them, so please stay true to the facts here.

This is not difficult to explain. Many ICOs that are located in Switzerland don't do KYC&AML and are not compliant to FINMA's regulations and therefore act in non-compliant manners. What this means for them in the future is anybody´s best guess.

Another hint is that Filipe is going to represent UTRUST in a conference in Switzerland very soon.

See the companies that are going there:
http://forums.theasianbanker.com/switzerland-wealth-innovation-tour/speakers

Regarding being registered as a financial payment provider or authority: Of course we are not yet, these registrations come hand in hand with large amounts that need to be paid and we are still in the fundraising stage at this point.

Hope this helps!
