Hi Zvi,
My hosting provider had some issues getting 240V up and so they started some of my SP30 units with 120V for a bit they said they will get the 240V issues fixed soon.
What do I need to do to reset the PSU so they can relearn the settings when the 240V is on?
Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to make an SP10 run relatively quiet? I read a few things about running them down at 1000w, is that safe. Even if its just at 1Th/s I am fine with that. What is your advice?
lol @ people taking noise into consideration when buying mining equipment. If you have to care about that, just buy btc directly, mining is not for your type. I am running 6TH worth of rk-boxes, antminers S2/S3, and BTCgarden units, and the combined volume is about half of my SP10 running at 50% fans. mining quietly is not difficult, the BTCgarden units are the quietest by far, basically no louder than the EVGA 1300 powering them. The SP10 is a monstrosity in terms of noise, and should never be put inside a building within earshot of people The SP10 can be run without stock fans. But that involves of ducting and high pressure exhaust fans (much lower noise tho). However, the PSU is quite noise which why you should use acoustic foam around the SP10s.

Since each SP10 made just about 7BTC already (if you got them early).. how much would you like for a unit? Are you shipping to Canada? Right now, Eligius gives about +0.00328460 BTC/block for one .. with an average of 0.01979672 BTC per day, and roughly, they'll make 2BTC each over the next 100 days (keeping everything constant). Since nothing is constant, I expect one unit to make 2BTC in double the time, without paying for colocation and/or power TBH .. if you get more than 0.5BTC for a unit (excluding shipment), you're lucky. check.ebay, $1400 each. I have one person interested at $750 waiting to hear back. Minersource ... $999 ...in stock...obviously "used" ... http://minersource.net/products/spondoolies-tech-sp10-dawson-1-5th-bitcoin-miner ZiG Never heard of that site. Anyone want to meet locally in North NJ near Morristown/Parsippany we can make a deal. I am willing to take BTC.

That will be really quiet cause the BTC will just sit in my vault.

SP10 is an awesome product if it sells second hand like this! I hope that everyone is happy in your case., and those units had their ROI.

Yes, the person is very smart, they are going to turn around and resell them to double their money. BTC seems to be in an uptrend, so I hope they make even more on them.

zvisha, have you guys underclocked SP10s? If so can you give us roughly power consumption for whatever settings you tested?
I think this will help SP10 owners to prolong their mining if they can get higher efficiency. Just like how Bitmain did to their chips
In my tests I got them down to 1Th/s at 700W. Set start voltage 0.610ish and max voltage at 0.618ish. The miner will start to mine from 0.608 up to 0.616. Let it a couple of hours to settle and then adjust the numbers from there up or down to get the optimum speed/power consumption.

Both are too loud for home use, neither make sense for hosting.

If some one wants a whole lot of SP10's including hosting, I may consider serious offers.

Is there a way to force the SP30 to re-calibrate the max power draw from the power supplies? I'm running off of 208V but most of my SP30's are showing limits of 1250W which seems low, and that limits them to 4.3-4.4TH/s. All settings are stock, firmware is 2.3.46.
There is a limitation of 1250 on 208 volt because of PSU limitation. There is no calibration for 208V. To go more then 1250 one needs 220V. Will the SP31 & SP35 have the same problem with 208v vs 230v?

I don´t know the exact make and model of PSUs used in these enhanced sp30s, but performance should always be slightly better on higher voltages.
