21  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 12, 2014, 05:03:16 PM
How the hell do we get a guy with the title "AM Bagholder" representing the shareholders and posing questions to Friedcat? In the real world, no ceo would talk to some random rude kid, just because the kid demands it.   I thought Friedcat was extremely kind to answer his initial questions to begin with, given newsfeed.dude's obviously hostile and rude tone.   Now he feels entitled to questions answered every month - when did Friedcat agree to that part???   Anyway is it even in AM's best interest to satisfy this rude questioner's curiosity?   How old are you panicking people anyway?  So much supposition, assumption, jumping to conclusions - from bagholder and others here; is this a result of the crystal meth epidemic I've been reading so much about lately?

I don't even ...

Thank you very much for your appreciation, that I took a time for gathering and forwarding questions from all shareholders. It was my free time. Now I am "rude kid". Oh, you're so kind. I don't feel, that I am "representing the shareholders", I am just a messenger and I had a time and financial interest of doing this after friendlypumpkin told me that he doesn't have a time. "My initial questions?" that questions are from a lot of shareholders gathered in this thread, like always. Its not "my questions". There was a discussion here about appropriate time for next round of questions and general consensus was once per month, also there was a boardmeeting. "In the real world" full name of CEO is widely known between shareholders and public, here we're trusting a guy with nickname "Friedcat" with millions and you are bothering with my signature or whatever. And that "crystal meth" part ... this speaks for itself ... waste of time answering or attacking you back.

Back on topic about ASICminer.
22  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 12, 2014, 11:47:56 AM
I don't think our Q&A request is going to corner cat to talk about anything before he's ready to.
I think we asked such specific questions, we're going to have to wait until he CAN answer those questions, before he does.
Which means that some of those questions are not ready to be answered yet.

He doesn't need to answer every question, but nothing at all? Unacceptable!

A "Nope, not sold out yet." response would be devastating.

Why? Better than nothing.

...this company has always under promised and over-delivered.

Like with gen2 performance? Like with gen3 performance? Like with blockchain based exchange? Like with maintaining 10% of network share? Like with dedicated PR person? I can continue if you want... this company is long time after "under promised and over-delivered" period.

I just hope they do it soon...  Smiley

Yeah, sure ... Hope & Believe™

24  Economy / Services / Re: TGH ABogados & Spectra Corporation now accept BTC on: July 08, 2014, 10:01:52 PM
Are you a representative or employee of that company?

seems like  www.tghabogados.com is only in Spanish and I can't google "Spectra Corporation" , maybe you can provide links? Thank you
25  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 06, 2014, 04:39:39 PM
Oh, good to know, that Bitmine is child of ASICminer, now competitor with own chips and still boardmember.

With so many umbrella companies and companies divided from original ASICminer, AM seems like tunneled Swiss cheese.

@bitcoin.newsfeed:  Thanks, weren't you once accused of being crumbs? Cheesy

Yes, in WannaBee thread I was called many names, including crumbs, before and after I sold my sharezzz for 0.0045 and 0.0059  Cheesy
27  Other / Meta / Re: Should Notlambchop/Crumbs be re-banned? on: July 05, 2014, 09:18:02 AM
Voted. No.

reason : Just because what are they writing is not what you want to see, it doesn't mean that they are not right and you are. The truth is often scary or/and ugly here, we're not in pink-glassed wonderland. Also I find myself entertained by these posts and some of them are really smart, precise and informative.

I see gargantuan potential here, maybe get IceDrill Will interested?
Sure, if you never want to see your payouts or hardware again.

29  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 03, 2014, 06:33:25 PM
Isn't the 80/20 split done after the power is paid for? That way it is the profit you are splitting. It doesn't make sense otherwise.
That would actually be a lot better. The profit looks really nice like this.

Yes, great point. It is.  Smiley

... franchising will get 20% mining profit when deduct the electric fee .
30  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 03, 2014, 05:01:52 PM
So I can buy 100 shares for 20 bitcoins, put them up for collateral, get 20% of the mining paying my own electricity costs out of it and at the end of it all, I get my 100 shares back?

You're still owner of shares, that shares are *receiving* dividends as usual plus 20% of mining profits from that 15Th/s (seems like that to me)

Well guess what.  At 0.15 cents US per kW.h and Bitcoin at $650 USD your power costs ARE  20% of what you could generate today!  You get nothing but loss from this venture.

 15 TH/s generates 0.4485 BTC per 24 hours
 1 kW.h @ 0.15 cents US = 0.000230769231 BTC /kW.h
 15 TH/s of AM GEN3 uses ~ 16.5 kW
 16.5 kW.h x 24h x 0.000230769231 BTC/kW.h = 0.091384615476 BTC
 20% of your production (0.4485 BTC per 24 hours) =  0.0897 BTC

As you can see, it sucks.  Also, when diff goes up, it sucks worse.
Check my math but I think I'm right.

That math is correct. But for somebody who has access to really cheap or free electricity, this deal is no brainer. Even with 0.15 cents/kW.h , you're making free 0.09 BTC (ups , I forgot about electricity cost, so yes, with 0.15 cents/kW.h you are making zero for you) every day + you're contributing with another 0.3588 to AM dividends for all shareholders(so you as miner get cut from this too). The more I think about this ... mastermind idea, also it helps decentralization  Smiley

edit : what about combine this with some hosting in Iceland ?
31  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 03, 2014, 04:20:40 PM
So for every 100s of my full shares I can get 15Th/s of mining gear for free from AM ? And I will get normal company dividends for that shares, plus 20% of what I mined "at home" as franchise? And that shares are held as collateral in case I get robbed, I run away, or don't provide expected hashing power to the pool(cheating, self mining, not mining for AM but myself). Good.

If this is the case, it's nice franchise program also for small miners and nice bonus for us, shareholders Wink

Interesting idea

EDIT : AND it creates a demand for AM shares, because if you want to be franchise(in this program), you must own shares.

Shareholders questions were submitted to Friedcat.

Thank you all for taking the time to participate in this round of shareholders questions.

Quote
1) Could you please provide an estimate on:
- When the next dividend can be expected ?
- When ASICminer will become cash-flow positive ?

2) Regarding self-mining and franchising:
- What is the current status of self mining and franchising ?
- What partners are and will be working with ASICminer ?
- What do the respective partnership agreements entail ?
- How many PH (including percentages from franchising) will -directly- contribute to ASICminer mining income ?

3) How many PH/s of gen 3 have already been sold/shipped by now ?

4) Has the "60 PH/s batch" progressed any further ? When is it supposed to be completely done ? How much has already been sold ?

5) Given the ratio of 1/3 retained and 2/3 paid out of the revenue, is this after deducting costs for upcoming batches/expenses or are those part of the 1/3 of retained capital ?

6) AM sells chips to multiple mining companies including Rockminer, Datatank, Bitgarden, Hashratio is it possible to get some clarity on the relationships AM has with different groups ?

7) Is Asicminer selling chips at cost already ? Rumors have been going around that it is known in China that the chips are being sold at cost. Can we please have a confirm/deny on these rumors and explanation why ?

8 ) The last post mentioned that average sales cost is about .5$/gh, is this still the average ?

9) Has AM any stock repurchase plan for now or in the future ?

10) Regarding Gen 4, can you give us rough (plus/minus a month or two) estimates on:
- When tape-out is expected ?
- When production is expected ?
- When the first chips will be in hand ?

11) Personal question from shareholder freedomno1 : Hi friedcat I have been receiving several requests for replacement baseboards/ power boards and parts for the block erupter cube and was wondering if their is a repair service or parts store available that I can relay to those individuals to contact with if something breaks.

Dear shareholders,

we've gathered 10 questions so far, still 2days until forwarding them to Friedcat. If you want to add something, don't hesitate to write it here, or in PM. Closing time for this round of questions is 29th of June 2014 12:00 UTC +01:00

*The closing time was moved because of practical reasons

Damn you NotLambchop , giving everything away for free for bitcoin securities investors? You're so generous. You should do an IPO for this table for at least 100BTC(round1), then put a tip address under the table and pay out weekly "divs" to "shareholders" from received tips.

EDIT :
Another ideas for maximizing profits for your 90% of private shares(from ehm "private venture capital round"):
1) Moderate this thread. If someone wants to post something here, he must pay 0.001 BTC/post fee to Table Holdings Inc first
2) and of course listing fee 5BTC per "company" , with referral program to gain some cheerleaders on reddit

Anyone knows which day FC will post an update? Last thing I remember it was supposed to be at the end of the month so in 4 days?

after next round of questions on 1st of July, we can expect answers and update around ~5th of July I guess

I like question 6, but I would like to put special emphasis on Datatank, especially regarding the recent rumor that Datatank might become a franchising partner of AM.

DataTank doesn't want to disclose any further information about that deal until the deal is actually done. I guess we'll get more info about DataTank cooperation when they will be comfortable/ready to provide some. Also we can't force the answers. Answers from Friedcat to any question are voluntarily.
