501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading for newbie on: September 02, 2017, 06:25:56 PM
Decide what you mean by profit. Is it dollar profit or BTC profit. Do you want an in come in dollars or you want to grow your amount of BTC. Your strategy will be different...
502  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HAVE you tried daily trading using SMA on: September 01, 2017, 10:19:53 PM
I would not mix Long SMA with such short timeframe trades. For shorter timeframe trades i set moving averages to lower values. But anyway, did not test this so much because i dont use SMAīs alone.
503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: starting to trade on: September 01, 2017, 10:13:56 PM
To start i would advise an exchange with lending option. Like poloniex or bitfinex. Start by putting the money on margin lending wich is less risky than trading and use the time you are around the exchange to look at the charts e get confortable. Only then you start trading.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 31, 2017, 03:45:59 PM
What do you make of the comments voiced here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/xmrtrader/comments/6wxh7e/why_i_sold_mine_now/

Are you still expecting 200 by Oct, 1K by March?

Seems very bullish Smiley

Those comments are predicated on the notion that all crypto are created equal endowed by their creator with certain natural rights which are common to all but this is not true. In fact all crypto are created very unequal, some endowed with marvelous potential which has yet to be realized, others with Ponzi fatal flaws, many of which have already fallen by the wayside. Monero will not fall by the wayside, because of the capabilities of its community of developers and supporters. Even when a serious flaw in Monero has appeared in the past it is always been dealt with in a disciplined and orderly manner, allowing Monero to overcome hazards which would have rapidly strangled any lesser coin in its crib.

Today 40 XMR make 1 BTC, but when the economic potential of Monero is fully realized 40 BTC may make 1 XMR.  "People" may not care about privacy, although they are fools if so, but they do care about fungibility, whether they know it or not. They also care about extortion, taxation, theft, embezzlement, and kidnapping. Monero protects you against these things while Bitcoin does not.

If I were to produce a physical Bitcoin today the obverse would bear a vivid image of Cazes hanging by his neck in a Bangkok jail cell. So, yes, I am expecting 200 to 300 this  year simply on the basis of speculation discounting future fundamentals, and 1000 sometime next year on the basis of the emergence of a new functioning darknet economy, and furthermore expect fomo to rapidly push that up to 2500 before that bubble pops.

You certainly are eloquent my friend.

Thanks for taking the time to write back to me Smiley

Iīm very ignorant in this crypto world, although this one and a half year journey as thought me so much. If i had to choose one "new" word or concept i aquired itīs fungibility. Itīs so important and so interesting. I can say i aquired it in this thread. so thanx for the the posters who take their time to atually share knowlegde here.
505  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin save Venezuela? on: August 31, 2017, 11:18:06 AM
Althout iīm not a very right wing liberal iīm far from being Socialist/comunist. So with that kind of government that proved so many times in history that is unable to deliver i donīt thin even BTC is going to save the country. However it can save or help individuals who start to use it.
506  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fibonacci indicators on: August 30, 2017, 11:12:56 AM
Almost every trading indicator is tested with high volume. Low volume markets usually are very risky because the indicators fail to often. Almost all crypto markets are low volume so there is your answer. apart from this Fib levels are usually seen as a part of a broader strategy with more indicators than to be used alone.
507  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Friends I need to buy bitcoins weekly to sell via p2p in Brazil on: August 30, 2017, 07:51:56 AM
Just follow some simple rules and people will not call you a scammer. NEWBIE asking for BTC first forget it. And if you donīt want to be painted red just offer to use escrow. Easy.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 30, 2017, 07:47:05 AM
Aha okay, thanks... RangeDriver, you there bro?  Paging RangeDriver Paging RangeDriver Cheesy

~0.026 marks the 38.2% retraction and coincides with previous resistance.

That should be a pretty reliable floor if you're able to get in there.

I think we will dip below 0,026  Wink

If so, I shall be very, very happy to buy them.
If Monero can drop down under that price, I will comeback margin trade and putting all my money, lol Grin!
I do not think Monero can dip below 0,02 BTC again like earlier of this year.
I remember someone sayng here that it would be impossible to see monero bellow 0.015 again. and it did for several weeks. At that time it seemed very reallistic to see monero hold above 0.015 as it seems reallistic to see it hold 0.02 now...
509  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds stuck in Bitfinex! on: August 30, 2017, 07:41:04 AM
Sometimes I have a feeling there is some kind of insider manipulation involved in all these "stuck transactions". It's as if they will not respond to you while they inject the funds in the market and gain something from it. You might then hear from them when market conditions are not in your favour. That's if they even decide to respond or react to your support request tickets.

This kind of manipulation as been around frequently. There are lts of coincidences between certain market conditions and exchange problems being them withdrawal issues, order delays, stop limits that dont work and so on.
510  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: August 30, 2017, 07:38:47 AM
I would think of three to invest as well as three not to. But to answer the question good volume and high volatility are two reasons for the short term investment because the daytrader can use the market swings to profit and limited suply to the mid to long term as it drives the price up.
511  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds stuck in Bitfinex! on: August 29, 2017, 09:44:25 PM
Huh

Funds from selling have been stuck like this for almost a month. No reply from the help email!

How to resolve or am I screwed?

Thanks for any help!

Can you explain what is your problem better? is it the 2 dollars you have in "funding"? because looking at the image i see all your funds as "available".
Sorry for not clearly understanding what is your problem.

512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NEO] (Antshares) Speculation & Discussion on: August 29, 2017, 09:40:25 PM
If they ban, it will be a good buying opportunity for the rest of the world after the panic sells..
But regulation is something that is to be expected all over the world... As the business grows states and governments are getting their apetite for a slice of the pie...
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Letīs Speculate a little on DGB? on: August 29, 2017, 09:37:34 PM
SO, i  was really happy with my DGB at 350 thinking it would grow much further. It retract with the whole market and now iīm wondering where can we expect to see it...what would be itīs value mid 2018?
514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your favorite trading exchange ? on: August 29, 2017, 09:33:17 PM
I donīt have a favourite...I really have three. Poloniex: even with all the issues with support for me itīs still the easiest to use, have the lending option and good volume. Number 2 is cryptopia to play around with low volume low price coins. Some good profit to be made and some bags of shit coins around the corner as well. Liqui for pos ICO trades and TAAS.
515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the moon!!! on: August 29, 2017, 09:31:03 PM
SO is this the moon already? so letīs head to mars! end of the year 5K. And with some serous whales coming in..lets see where it stops. Just hope its not on the ground:)
516  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 29, 2017, 09:29:37 PM
Price stability is a must  for a currency to be widely used as a currency. The use cases are low, so i really think if price is too stable now the interest would be lower. With high volatility the interest to see it as a speculative asset grows...
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: August 29, 2017, 09:23:40 PM
Is it a currency really? or itīs current value comes from being a store of value asset? the use cases as a currency canīt explain nearly part of the value of BTC. But speculation and store of value...
518  Economy / Economics / Re: Major Gold investor is entering Bitcoin market on: August 29, 2017, 09:21:45 PM
The big players are begining to notice. for a small fish like me that could mean some financial independence from a  relatively small amount of BTC:) let it pump!!!
519  Economy / Economics / Re: Pump and dump is the name of the game. on: August 28, 2017, 08:05:20 PM
Recently. That is something to laugh about. Small volume, high volatility, no regulation. Can only lead to market manipulation and insider trading. This can only be stopped either by market self regulation via decentralization and volume ( i donīt really believe that the market is able to regulate itself) or by adding regulations and regulatory entities that goes against the the very soul of BTC. Letīs profit from it and wait for what the future brings.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: August 28, 2017, 03:23:45 PM
What is there to market when it is still being developed, its a bad decision to market something when they can't specify any specific dates when the developments are coming out. It would only look that they are releasing a hype news.

I beg to differ.
Agama - the multicoin wallet app is at full product phase, just needing bug fixes and enhancements, which are always in progress
Jumblr - the KMD and soon to be BTC anonymizer is complete, just needs GUI
BarterDEX - a true decentralized exchange is also pretty much complete, GUI in progress

This is way more than any of the token ICOs out there has to offer. From what I can tell, most only has a whitepaper and look at how much marketing are involved in those projects.

If anything, KMD is a bit behind on the marketing department, but there has been talk in slack about this and I think the team agrees.  It seems marketing will likely ramp up quite a bit over the next several weeks.

Edit: oh yeah, and let's not forget that Zcash, the crypto from which KMD forked barely has a GUI. They also just recently demonstrated a very basic atomic coin swap - something that Jl777 has had working and had been perfecting for over a year now.

I agree marketing is very importante nowadays. But marketing without product is something that mines credibility in the long run. Trash like Dash as the best marketing. When people realizes what it really is it can mine the credibility of a industry that is still seen as a whole. BTC and the other crypto are a block. People are not looking at it has the VERY diferente projects there are.
