621  Other / Off-topic / Re: Be vigilant with phishing on https://www.myetherwallet.com/ on: July 19, 2017, 07:16:03 PM
Looks like the scammers are getting increasingly interested in getting their efforts payed in cryptocurrency. So people should be even more alert than they would be with fishing of their bank accounts.
622  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: July 19, 2017, 07:07:51 PM
I assume itīs the future and we still are in present. So even now with BTC prices in the thousands we can consider ourselves early adopters and this market can only grow in the future. So make money of it.
623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum ?, on: July 19, 2017, 12:39:30 PM
Considering all crypto world high risk investment, BTC is the less risky so i would put a bigger part in BTC. Moreover, even if BTC fails at solving escalability and fungibility problems it will remain a good choice for storage of value. As for ETH, i think it is a great project but with lots of garbage and projects built on top of it. So when one or two BIG startups mess up, eth will take a serious hit.
This being said ETH is in my portfolio but it a lesser extent than BTC

625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now... or on July 31st? on: July 17, 2017, 09:33:06 PM
Iīm more inclined to the hipothesis of Segwit successfull activation. However 80% miner support is an estimate, not a sure thing. If you want to make a good buy, and not aim to he best buy, i would buy now. If you have some money that you wouldnt put in BTC unless a crazy price appears, risk waiting and you might get lucky at 500$ BTC.
626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose only if you sell on: July 17, 2017, 09:28:21 PM
I agree with most of it. Just think the hit will be harder if it forks. If it start to deep nose down hard we could see it under 500$. Below that i donīt know exactly where there will be no more sellers. Bellow 500 are BTC with more than old. Those Holders wont sell.

628  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you won a (usd) $2 million dollar lottery on: July 16, 2017, 08:10:49 PM
If I won 2 million dollars i would spend 15% on a home 5% on a car and i would invest the rest. You cant live off 2 million dollars forever but if you invest it wisely in grey area business ventures you can.
The average person in my country will never earn 2 million in there lifetime... Even for me... if i have until 90y/o it would be 3.300 a month. So i believe one could manage with that amount....
629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does every single BTC exchange suck?! on: July 16, 2017, 06:46:10 PM
As for the crashes... Itīs called insider trading... They just take advantage of there knowlegde. This is a good example taht he market doesnīt regulate itself.  But maybe that is some part of the fun of Crypto jungle.

As for the part where your friends couldnīt set up an account on any exchange. Come on... You can argue they donīt wanīt to. But writing an email address and password and the rest of the setup process is the same for any other site, being a BTC exchange, an online casino of a facebook account. For the confirmation process ( i donīt like it) but is as difficult as taking a picture of yourself holding a card on your hand...
630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Advice... on: July 16, 2017, 06:40:07 PM
Everyone who got into alts and even BTC this semester are holding bags. Either that or sold at loss. The ones who sod more times at profit than loss are the winners. My self have some winners, and the loosers are in hold. Looking at the market long term some coins are good to go in right now if you must. For me  BTC, monero, DGB, XBY and KMD. But as stated above i donīt think they touched the bottom just yet.
This is probably true for the ones you are considering.
631  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question about the price of bitcoin on: July 16, 2017, 06:24:27 PM
Bitcoin reached a long waiting 1000$ in the beggining of the year bringing old and new users, then we had the "gold level" where 1 BTC equaled and passed the value of one once of gold. Truthfully it has no meaning, but it was very symbolic and allowed for a lot of ink on that. And the price was climbing, and as for BTC volatility a BIG correction was expected. On top of that you have all the FUD around August 1st and a possible BTC split. So first half of the year some Bullish events and now a good drop made worse because of the possible split. the usual speculators are making money on this. People who invested money they COULD NOT afford to loose are panicking. If you can HOLD, If you know how make money, if you have some to invest go in anytime from here to august 1st. More or less gain, BTC will overcome the problems and shoot again.

633  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you won a (usd) $2 million dollar lottery on: July 16, 2017, 05:36:32 PM
Quit half of my dayjob hours. That way i would free up some time to decide wisely what to do with 2 million. And of course i would invest some in crypto. Probably a Mix of BTC, Monero and one or two smaller projects.
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon on: July 13, 2017, 06:42:59 PM
I canīt find the article again. From what i remember it related the number of coins available to the storage space rented or sold. And arrived to a value in USD. then the value of 89 sats was related to the price of BTC at the time.
What iīm trying to see here is with constant mining of new coins (incrinsing suply) can we expect a real epic monster moon from current prices? Is this good store of value? or more of a good day trade/small profit coin?

I don't think Sia is the coin for you, it is probably best you move on. Investing in Sia now is like investing at the Venture Captial stage, and this risk is not for everybody.

Not moving on right now:) too many Siacoins in my wallet to "simply" move on. Anyway i was trying to see if anyone had the answers. But it seems that the project itīs new and we will have to wait and see what the future brings.
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: which coin will best tradding for future? on: July 13, 2017, 02:33:38 PM
My sugestion to you before you trade a good cryptocurrency, BTC for another that you donīt know, you should first decide what do you want.
Is it a Coin? I mean an Altcoin that is aimed to served as currency, like monero? Or Something like ETH or Komodo that aimes to be mainly used to pay for several smart contracts built on it? Or a token that backs a crypto fund like TAAS? or? or? or? or?
636  Economy / Exchanges / Re: exchange bitcoins to paypal on: July 13, 2017, 02:27:53 PM
How many BTC are we talking about. What is the rate you are looking for to trade. Have you chosen an escrow to midiate the deal?
There are several trusted escrows around. There are a few threads ofering this kinds of deals.

To answer you r question directly: You canīt "move" BTC to paypal. What you can do if find someone with a paypal account that is willing to buy you BTC.
637  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need Help on: July 13, 2017, 02:22:13 PM
My friend you already have another thread on this matter. You have been warned several times by several users. You are asking for a service so you should gather the conditions for it to be hassle free for anyone who helps.
1- NO one will send first to you.
2- YOU can decide to send first to someone trusted.
3- USE escrow. stop making escuses about the use of escrow.

TRADE WITH EXTREME CAUTION OR DONīT TRADE AT ALL WITH THIS GUY.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟 BESTCHAIN 🌟 ICO ENDED 🌟 TRADING AVAILABLE 🌟 HEADING THE BEST OF CRYPTO 🌟 on: July 13, 2017, 12:55:47 PM
Probably:)

As was stated earlier the only hope for this is if some whale wants to artificialy pump it to get out. Or if some pump and dump group picks it up. Expecting anything from the development part would be irrealistic IMO
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon on: July 13, 2017, 12:52:09 PM
Sia got hit harder than most alts... even though the entire crypto market took a nosedive. Some coins are straight up shitcoins but Sia has good long term potential and a solid team behind it. So I was really surprised that it would get hit so brutally.

There was a bit of panic around the Obelisk uncertainty and funding but it seems to have been sorted out.

They have 1200 Obelisk pre-orders and they will move forward with the production (people who ordered will get an estimated 250GH/s now)

The received a $400K grant from Li Xiaolai, a well-known billionaire in the crypto space who believes in Sia's future

NBlockchain provided the grant so that the Sia team can focus on development and not on fundraising. "Don't worry about money, just have things well done,” said Li Xiaolai, founder of INBlockchain.

So, the price drop did hurt me a lot... but I'm also more confident that it will recover. What worries me the most is if BTC rallys to $5000-$10,000, shouldn't the ratio of SC/BTC drop even more? Otherwise, I really do think SC has been oversold, especially since some of the uncertainty has been relieved and the team can fully focus on development for the next year. But I do have a bad feeling that the downtrend isn't over yet... and SC could potentially drop as low as 150 sats.

Sad

I was reading an analizes that considered the "real" price of SIA, and by that they meant the price of SIA related to the rented/sold storage space around 89 sats. That being said everything above that would be from hype/speculation. What are your opinions on this?

I really have no idea where the "real" price of SC should be... how did the calculate 89 sats as real price?
