1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Exchanges shutting down on: October 18, 2011, 01:50:32 PM
It was actually pretty scary (I remember reading it in 2005), but thankfully never ratified, as far as I can tell:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_establishing_a_Constitution_for_Europe
+1 see? Europe is better, ElectricMucus.

Well, for what it's worth, I remember reading a draft of this treaty back in 2005 and it scared the shit out of me.  I'm currently trying to dig that up...  France and the Dutch held their ground against this thing for a reason.

And, I live in the USA and I am a proud American and I love my country, so please stop hatin'; however, I will defend your right to hate. (but only so far on any given day ... depends on my mood).
oh im not hating, we just better than you, except for making burgers Tongue

But yous are haves bad grammar  XD
oh yes, im not a one native English speakering.

1886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if Vidalia/Tor goes down while I'm using the Bitcoin client? on: October 18, 2011, 12:49:15 PM
Hi there,

What happens if Vidalia/Tor goes down while I'm using the Bitcoin client? Will my IP address be revealed or will the Bitcoin client just stop working? (I am using the socks2proxy settings).

Best

MountEverest
just stop working.
1887  Economy / Speculation / Re: Exchanges shutting down on: October 18, 2011, 12:48:31 PM
link to the EU Patriot Act, please?
I don't know what it is called where you live, every nation has it's own implementation.
can you even imagine a world without it?

1888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Restoring Lost Bitcoins on: October 18, 2011, 12:47:18 PM
If you were lucky enough,
also if you are lucky enough, you can jump out of the window and not hitting the earth.
the recover lost addresses, is just unlikely. even if every atom in the universe, could generate 10mio addresse per second. and had done that since the beginning of the universe, they would with 99,9999% certainty not have found two equal addresses.

Remember 2 things people: DCMA (well most probably weren't even intersted in 'this stuff' back then)
and the US Patriot Act.

Both have their equivalent all over Europe and the Asian industrialized nations heck even the whole world. Don't be that naive  Angry

don't be so damn practical.

all the Bears have an agenda; why else would they spend all their valuable time here bashing Bitcoin if they truly believed it was worthless?

Yes, just because I believe bitcoin is in a decline, and will be in a decline for the near future, means I "truly believe it is worthless"  Roll Eyes  I just think stupid people are stupid for making bad trades.  Like this guy koko, he could've sold/traded/bought and have a lot more btc/money, but since he's the aforementioned stupid person, he doesn't, and only has 10 bucks.  Especially since he bought in before the bubble.  But from your "getting paid to diss" comment, I can see you are another one of those people.  Good luck with that!
im not stupid. sorry mate! and yes i could have raped the price, but i chose not to(it goes up: i don't care, it goes down: i don't care). i could actually cashout now, and still have profit.

the reason why im only having 10 bucks is becuase im a poor student, and im glad that im not in debt.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GET OUT! on: October 18, 2011, 11:56:06 AM

OK! this is to all you bitcoins haters, pessimists, and people who have lost faith in bitcoin.
GET OUT! SELL YOUR COINS! CRASH THE PRICE!

This is not just a sell before its to late, comment. I will be buying. and so will all the people who care it about also.
if you are only here to make BIG MONEY, and don't really understand how innovative bitcoin is. GTFO!

GET OUT! and let people who care about bitcoin built the economy.
and don't come back crying about early adopters, and unfairness, YOU DID HAVE THE CHOICE.
come back when you are forced to because its the currency of the world, and no one accepts your fiat money.

i currently have 47.26696412 (please increase it: xxx) in my wallet. and 0 USD in mtgox, and 50 DKK(~10 USD) in my bank account.

Why? This is called "Bitcoin Forum" and not "Bitcoin Lover Forum".
not just the forum. the whole economy, don't only close your account on the forum, but also on the exchanges, and online wallets.
simply: leave it alone.

1899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Exchanges shutting down on: October 18, 2011, 10:03:03 AM
For all I care they could all shut down.

A decentralized exchange method will come up.

There's also a good chance bitcoin will be prohibited under US FINCEN rules, which would cause the whole thing to move underground.

But rather than a decentralized techno-darknet, I think the replacement would be more like how drugs are distributed now, with a shadow distribution network.

Wouldn't it be ironic if weed were regulated and taxed like alcohol, available for purchase in stores, but bitcoins were illegal and had to be bought in person?  "Sorry honey, I'll be home late, I'm meeting up with my bitcoin dealer after work".
FUCK THE US.

im from denmark, and mtgox is in japan. Tongue

can't touch me!
