I don't even know what I should receive.
Sounds like you need to learn a little more about this before spending any fiat on it.

The peer-to-peer-ishness probably makes the whole notion academic: Clearly this character would be peerless among mortals.... Sigh, back to the drawing board.
Actually, his powers could be drawn from his relationship to his crew of anonymous "miners". Better yet, he could be the Frankenstein monster created by a genius (Satoshi) experimenting with genetically modified human DNA, drawing his strength from a nebulous network of mysterious individuals located around the globe. His kryptonite would be the 51% attack on his personal network which his nemesis is always scheming to discover.

Nice work. This character seems destined for dark comedy.

It got me thinking.... how many bitcoins are already lost forever due to PC's destroyed in fires, HDD's crashing etc.. Is there even a way to know? The only way to know is to go by what is reported by users. There is no way to tell just by inspecting the blockchain which bitcoins are "lost" and which simply haven't been moved yet (ie, savings).

I dont like this price curve it is going up too much and too fast.
Those were almost my exact words when it jumped from $9 to $11.

I am pretty sure when you click "Buy Bitcoin in 10 minutes or less" you are seeing paid adds.
That is only an ad for blockchain.info's own services. If you'll notice, there are fees involved for those services.

This might be a weird or newbie question but I'm curious.
Let's say I invest $1,000 into BitCoin. That $1,000 turns into $2,000. I then want to take the $1,000 and buy more Bitcoin. Is there any way of doing this without withdrawing, paying fees, waiting, re-investing, paying fees, and waiting?
What is the quickest way to double down without taking a loss in time, fees, and a rising market?
If by investing into Bitcoin you mean exchanging your USD for BTC, then the only way to arrive at 2X the amount you invested is to exchange the BTC back to USD once the exchange rate has doubled. The USD has to come from somewhere.

I can also tell the growing awareness of bitcoin from stats at The Bitcoin List. I went from averaging between 4,000 and 5,000 page views per month to over 10,000 page views in March, almost exclusively referred by search engines.

I have no idea why I just said howdy, I'm not even from here. Anyway. I'm working on a tech startup and dabbling with bitcoin for awhile. I'm really interested in building locally based tools and services that promote bitcoin. I've been trading some BTC with guys here locally so I finally decided to put together a meetup on March 16th. Come on out, we're right downtown on the east side, free parking, and I think we'll probably rustle up some free beer (sponsored by bitcoin...). Check it: http://www.meetup.com/BitcoinCryptocurrency/Austin-TX/282741/I believe you mean April. If I'm available, I will definitely try to make this meetup.

FYI, it's not proper netiquette to hijack a competitor's thread to promote your own service.
I was asking for help! It would still be more appropriate to start your own thread. Discussing your site here detracts from discussion of Bitcoin100.

I'm wondering if this is something that the people who originally donated the money would all approve of. True, $1,000 USD is only about BTC13 now - a fraction of the BTC100 we originally planned to distribute to each charity - but still, this does stray a bit from part of the initial goal, which was to convince charities that accepting Bitcoin is beneficial to them (global donations, no fees, no chargeback risks, etc).
I'd feel better if 100 individuals agreed to donate a fixed amount, say 0.25 BTC. I think it makes more sense to measure things in BTC and to refer to "100" in some way even if 100 BTC is no longer practical. I've begun to build BTC Aid ( www.btcaid.org) a Bitcoin chairty very similar to Bitcoin100. I need ideas and input, I can hopefully get a few well renowned people from the UK on board. FYI, it's not proper netiquette to hijack a competitor's thread to promote your own service.

Eight years with Joomla... ouch From Wikipedia: "Initial release 17 August 2005" You are from the future? Or you were using Joomla before it was publicly released? 2005 was 8 years ago It's not August 2013 yet... Well, he didn't say exactly eight years ago. I believe it falls within a reasonable estimation.

Now that I've thought about it a bit, I think I do have a site that I'm willing to part with that almost meets your criteria: CryptobillCryptobill was earning a few bitcents a day from ad revenue when I first launched it but I don't really have the time to promote and develop it like it deserves. If you're interested, I can let you have the whole thing including the URL, the code and put you in touch with the person who programmed it for me for 15 BTC.
