Anyone want to fulfill this thread's purpose and provide some insight as to where we are headed?

Lol am I the only one who made not $1 profit from this dip? Missed the 500´s because I thought we go way more down and in seconds we were back at 630 so I thought it will be a mistake to buy because we´ll go under 500 after that jump and now we´re back there where we were yesterday...
How were you awake? I was fast asleep at 4:00 AM.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 11, 2014, 01:28:40 AM
That was the bottom of the bear market. I've seen it several times before and that's what it looked like.  You can quote me on that.

LOL. All big dumps from here on out will be profit taking and not people cutting their losses. The weak hands lost their grip and gave us their coins. We're coming out of the valley and onto the plains, building up speed for the next mountain range.
There haven't been any cheap coins if you are trying to purchase from Coinbase. They are still at $700 aside from the 5 minutes this early morning (Eastern Time) when they went down.

https://bitcoinfoundation.org/blog/?p=418

the dev team will not approve mt.gox's proposals, gox is going to have to solve there problem another way. this is gana take weeks....

It's cool, they are most likely insolvent anyway.
How can they be insolvent? The Bitcoinfoundation needs no funds as the members hold large stashes of bitcoin. No one should be sending them any donations.

Ken, its passed time for the share verification process to begin. You have been telling us for weeks (or months) that we would have access to our shares.
128  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: February 08, 2014, 01:26:55 AM
Here's a way this may play out on Monday.

Gox had 40,000 Bitcoins stuck in their withdrawal queue. On Monday, they will have zero, because they are cancelling withdrawals and crediting amounts back to customer accounts within Gox. That's already happening.

This allows them to begin a new round of jerking customers around. All their customers will have to resubmit their withdrawals. Gox then has lots of ways to stall them - they can request reverification of customer identity, claim the destination Bitcoin address is invalid, and such. They've done all of those things before. Then they can stall on moving transactions through states of "pending" to "processed", which they've also stalled on before. Then they can process the outgoing queue slowly, which they've done before.

Meanwhile, the usual Gox shills will be saying "everything is fine now", to discourage people from doing withdrawals. This may buy Gox another month.

Exactly what i was thinking never required verification before will now demand it i sent in verification 2x they denied it i scanned never told me had to be photo I am forecasting making customers jump thru hoops that customers won't be able to  complete people will eventually give up most likely scenario. It takes 2 weeks now to get verified imagin how much longer they will stall the process if they go that route.  It will take gox weeks and weeks to solve a technical problem that dosen't really exist. I have seen this scenario countless times in these type of schemes . They all start out with support ignoring not responding to customers that is the first step gox has already put people thru.

gox already blatantly lied by saying that the stuck withdrawls were limited to a few users or whatever when in reality it was 6,000 .
It doesn't have to be a photo, that is why it says 300 dpi. You can scan it.

How many of you really think Gox doesn't have the coins/money to cover the transactions? or do you think this is just a technical issue with their wallet?

So, where's the floor people?

Time for a new poll Adam
I'd say it is around $450.
just like the last crash...

Nah, not going that low, we're not far away from bottom I think.
Maybe not now. It will go that low in the coming days/weeks.

This fall is based on nothing tangible at this point.

Gox faltering on the brink
Apple bans blockchain app
Russians planning on outlawing BTC
Huge orchestrated dumping across exchanges
Gox finally shutting down BTC withdrawal

Lots of reasons for this dump today
Go easy on him. He's a perma-bull.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 07, 2014, 07:33:35 AM
How much downward pressure can this Russia move have? How low can it take the price? Does only $50-$100 seem legit or are we looking at $200-$300.

We hit bottom already... strong upward trend now as ppl scoop up all the cheap coins.
This isn't over... maybe for right now. But more to come in the following weeks.

Yes we need to find reasons why its dropping. Fud blah blah. Anything other than this is the E wave.
Exactly, just excuses from the mega bulls as to why we aren't going to $10,000 in two weeks.
136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 06, 2014, 10:47:46 PM
The Gox response is automated... there have probably been many accusations or questions regarding whether their coins were lost/stolen or that Gox does not have all the BTC. Thus, they wrote that reply.

Funny, I just noticed this bit about account setup at UMC.  I really doubt that UMC would build masks for a customer without an account, so that means no 55 nm tapeout yet.  Based on Ken's promptness on getting shares tradeable, I guess he'll tape out in May.  If they have the money...

Weekly Update 2/5/2013

This last week has been very busy with our Project manager and engineers working with eASIC on our 28nm custom chip.  We have receive the first results back and the chip is expected to run at 30 GH/s, we are working on improving this number.  Also, we have received the quote on our PCIe board and our project manager and engineers are meeting with eASIC and our board engineers this week to keep our project on track.  We are also meeting with UMC to finalize our account setup.  We are also thinking about going to a 20nm custom chip and skipping the 28nm, if we can get it produced fast enough.

I wondered about that as well. We were supposed to have taped-out in mid January.

Whatever can get hashing going as soon as possible is the best option.

Gox dropping again!!!

WOOHOOOO!!!!!

Wait no, not so fast!

a 1e -8 transaction just took the spot price back $860 on Gox. The bottom is in and the recovery is on!
What?
