I went full BTC again when I had a chance to buy back at a few percent profit. I'm not good at being bearish.

To da moon? Anyone? Damn it.

Hey, people on wall street would kill for a few percent profit. You're not getting even a "full" procent at your local bank with your savings account. Be happy! You made a successful trade!

Thanks, it already feels a little better. Full BTC has been a decent position historically, so let's say I just made a few percent gain on my future millions. Cheesy
Only, if you are trading on Gox you actually lose money even on a few percent gains. I still haven't figured out how that works.

Sorry for my ignorance but what does this chart actually mean?
Nothing, which is why I have it ignored.

Vigil: And how do you know this?
How do you know that Ken "has to have a few knowledgeable engineers/programmers" working for him? I bet he is trying to do it all by himself on his own. He does not trust other people and cannot delegate responsibility.
That is why he is so stressed out.

Ken can't be a one-man show in this operation... he has to have a few knowledgeable engineers/programmers, who are not his nephew and niece, working with him. eASIC had to have at least seen the FPGA prototype for the ASIC actually functioning, etc. before agreeing to this contract. Consider the statement from eASIC:
Quote
"VMC has used its vast cryptographic algorithm experience to take full advantage of the advanced performance and power reduction features in our eASIC Nextreme-3 28nm architecture", said Jasbinder Bhoot, VP of Marketing at eASIC. "This has allowed VMC to architect a very high performance Bitcoin miner, while reducing overall power consumption", added Bhoot.

That is past tense... suggesting they had already seen a working prototype running on FPGA.
I'm saying, he has to have a few knowledgeable engineers/programmers if he is realistic about getting things done and for eASIC to agree to the contract. eASIC had to have seen something that made them believe that it was possible for this to work out. They would have wanted to know that there were sufficient talent tasked with making this work.

I'm wondering how USD and other currencies can be exchanged in a decentralized manner through color coin. Or will that require Master coin or ripple? Of course this may be too off topic.

Colored Coins can be used for any virtual asset.

Damn Vigil you are lucky.  In the last 3 days you are the only one worthy enough to feel the warm embrace of our great leader.  Perhaps tomorrow he will appear from the clouds and speak to us mere humans
You can look at Ken's silence in a couple ways... either he has no positive way to answer the questions or he would prefer that information to remain a mystery and is working hard on getting things hashing.

Has anyone attempted a burnt offering?
486  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: December 16, 2013, 12:57:51 AM
I see there are still no takers on the 0.1 BTC bounty for proof of working hardware. You'd think someone would at least post a pic of the shipping notification, for what that's worth.

If Ken indeed shipped the first products, how long would the shipping times be, I wonder?
He could also have been talking about VMC delivering units to Active Mining.
487  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 13, 2013, 05:32:26 AM
In the process of purging this thread. Come on people, I don't care if you fud or have unpopular ideas, as long as they are at least somewhat on topic.
Seriously. The fact that I had to subscribe to this thread so that I could proactively moderate it speaks volumes.

If you see an off-topic post (this post excluded, since this has become bad enough that I feel that this post is necessary) PLEASE just report it. DO NOT REPLY! The moderation team is quite sick of spending over 30% of their time babysitting you guys. If you get a PM that says that your post was deleted by a moderator (not the starter of the thread), take it seriously. I'm tired of this crap.
Why was my post deleted when all I did was contest an inflammatory and derogatory post by Crumbs? Not sure why I should be getting a slap on the wrist for doing nothing wrong.

Well, well, well... What do you know?
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCoin: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: December 11, 2013, 08:20:23 AM
How many MCs were given for every BTC donated to the Exodus address?
100
One more question... how do I get a MC wallet, or do I need one?
MC wallet is just a bitcoin wallet completely controlled by yourself (not something like the address in the exchange), but it's better to use a client you can specify the sending address.
OK. I sent my MCs to a bitcoin address but it just says that they are bitcoins. How is anyone supposed to tell the difference between MC and bitcoins if they aren't distinguished?
You can check your MSC balance with http://mymastercoins.com/,   http://mastercoin-explorer.com/, and http://masterchest.info

To a normal BTC client, what you received are just a very small amount of BTC, but according to the MSC protocol, you received certain amount of MSC and the amount was encoded in the blockchain and has nothing to do with the amount of BTC you received. That small number of BTC is just there to satisfy the anti-dust requirement.
OK, I think I get it. The MCs are basically piggy-backed on that negligible amount of BTC to my address and the BC...

Mark it. $200 by Friday.

Uhh... that was a joke, nitwit. Made obvious by the tone. I was quoting someone else.

Hard to tell what is and isn't a joke with you, I guess.  Sorry bud.
"Mark it" is from "The Big Lebowski" - you would have to be culturally illiterate to not understand the reference. And to think I believe we would really be heading as low as $200...Huh

There will be probably a correction before moving above the all time high at $1163, that correction could be a nice buying opportunity for who is looking for a good moment to buy.

Pretty on point so far.
That blog has been wrong pretty-much on everything.

Yeah, because you've been totally nailing it.

In fact, if you recall I predicted the last price point before the crash to the 'T' - $1010. I then correctly called the drop while all you bulls were claiming we were headed to 1500. I sold at $1230 and bought back at $610 - its hard to be any more right than that. But even still I don't claim to be right all the time.

Here we go. Its crash-a-thon time.

Nope ,,, we will go to $800. Thats not a crash but a healthy correction.

Relative to the choo choo heads calling for a freaking train ride and this latest boost to 1060, that is a crash. Exactly why we didn't want to buy in to that fake pump and dump.

You guys can argue figures all you want with your fancy percentages, but at the end of the day there's going to be more dividends flowing into shareholders wallets than all the mail in crumbs' bitcointalk inbox.
