Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL?

It is not a good idea to dump coins immediately, better hold it for a long time. If you hold it for a year or two then you can get reasonable profit.

Sometimes its very good to HODL your bounty reward for some period. For instance I participated in coinlancer bounty and I got 40k tokens immediately after I was given the token I dumped it on ED for $1800. When the coin hit normal exchange what I sold for $1800 now worth $23000.

I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017.  Not long, in the scheme of things.  But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP.  At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.

For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking.  So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion.  I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens.  Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.

So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.

But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive.  Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount.  And that's when it struck me...

Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.

But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct.  So, my question to you is...

Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL?  Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.

i am a bounty hunters and i live in less. I realize that so many daily needs, all of which really force us to have money immediately.
therefore most of the bounty hunters community in my area, will immediately sell tokens when they get it from a bounty project.
but I myself have a slightly different decision with them.
when i get the token, i will sell it gradually. that way, I can have money for my daily needs immediately and can also hold for the future until the Devs really develop their project.

Its not advicable to sell some bounties rewards immediately and on the other hand some bounties rewards are worthless as long as you keep them the price keep dropping. 6 to 12months is okay to hold a coin and during that time you will know whether is a good project or not.

Most people I know doing bounties mostly sell their tokens because they are afraid the coin might lose its value and would go to waste, while some including myself would prefer holding them not because we expecting it to reach a higher value in the future but we consider it as a form of savings. I don't think out of all these tokens you receive in bounties would be worth nothing, so we prefer to just hold them instead.

Whether to hold or sell bounty coins would depend on the project. If you participate in a bounty campaign for a good project, I would recommend holding as if you invested your own money. Gain are gains; regardless if they can from bounty coins or not.

Depends on their projects.. few bounties are not so worth full to keep in our wallet. Few bounties can perform better which gives multiply. In such a way better sell worthless bounties and keep good bounties for long term.

Bounty rewards for altcoins are generally paid for promotional reasons. You can dump all at the beginning or you can hold but I do think its better to hold many coins if you believe you re doing it with right ones.

Better hold, cause almost all bounty hunter who get free token will sell their imediatly and will make the price fall.I would not be the first choice to sell, I will choose to hold, because I liked the tokens, and participate in the bounty thread get tokens, low cost, holding long-term is worth it.

Since bounty rewards are considered "free money" for our efforts in promoting them in various ways, it really depends if we wish to cash out or just #HODL it a bit. As for me, I mostly hold the tokens I have in airdrops and bounties, and only cash out a few when it's necessary.

If you think that their project doesn't seem to gain traction in the upcoming months, then you can sell it if you can for quick cash. However, if you are impressed with their roadmap and future developments, it's completely up to you if you want to get bullish on it.

I think it is better to hold the coin. If it is a large bounty that takes some work such as a signature campaign, then you should only take part in the projects that you believe in. And if you believe, then there is no reason to sell.

If the ICO project has confidence and confidence in the promise of the generated token, it is best to keep it until the token grows to a decent price, and then look at the circumstances. If there is no certainty in the token, then it is better to sell it immediately as soon as it appears on the exchange, because after that tokens fall in price many times. However, if money is not needed for other purposes, of course, you can leave these tokens and watch their movement. Some projects are very long in terms of their implementation time and that the token grows well in price, it takes a year or more.

I'm a Hodler and I am keeping every tokens I got from signature bounty campaigns because I never sell them even when they hit Crypto Exchanges because I know that the coins that I have now will soon have more values than today.
Thanks to my full-time job that is more than enough to support my family's daily needs. Now I can hold my Crypto Assets as long as I like and watch them grow and soon I will use them to fund some projects like building a house, buying a new car and investing local businesses in order to have multiple number os income sources.
That's is why I never sell my coins when they hit Crypto Exchanges like most of the members did.

I think it is better to hold the coin. If it is a large bounty that takes some work such as a signature campaign, then you should only take part in the projects that you believe in. And if you believe, then there is no reason to sell.

I am holding my coins whether they're few or more coins.
I've been getting tokens through joining a lot of signature bounty campaigns since last year and now they're still on my wallet because I want to watch them grow and I'm a hodler and an investor for long-term so I think holding my Crypto Assets would offer me a lot of opportunities and possibilities on reaching my goals in life.
Building my own house, buying a car and investing into local businesses because I want to make more income sources so that I will then not Crypto dependent in my whole life.

For me as long as you are contented with the profit you got from the bounty rewards it's ok to sell.The best thing in bounty is you got it free,so even you sell it or you hold it you still win from it.If you want to hold the tokens from the bounty rewards always review the roadmap or the purpose of the project if it will be helpful or it will last longer.But I suggest to sell it on it's ATH and look for another good project for bounty.

Well it depends on the price if i can see x2 of ico price i would sell all my coins but selling early is not good especially if the coin has a potential to grow

I try not to sell coins/tokens unless I really need the money to invest in a new coin or ico or if there are some bad news about team/coin and I see no future for it. As I see it the more coins/tokens I have the bigger chance it is I will be filthy rich one day..lol

Most of the  bounty I have participated on get dump after some months and there of a one I promote that as at the time of lunching at the exchange site it was above  $2,000 that my stake worth but I later sell it out of disappointment at $300 last December.I do sell my bounty immediately there get into exchange in other not to have a repeat of what I experienced last time. I have a plan to keep faith with any projects but since my experience in December I have to change my mind and follow what other are doing.

I see bounty rewards as an investment that does not involve money so it's better to HODL them than sell it immediately because even if the coins you've got became bubble there's no loss for you because you did not invested though effort is just wasted but if your coins became one of the most demanded on the market that I think is a great profit for you.

If you joined a campaign then you must have believed to the project and what it can offer to the world. If you believe to the token to have value when the project is developed then I guess you should be holding it otherwise why join a campaign. But if you are like those who has nothing on the table and badly need it, then no one else can better justify but you.
