Joke of a launch...

Setgenerate true 8, nets 300h/s, but current mining @ 246,000 H/s, so 1000 times more than a regular pc.....

You have given links to 2 miners, but ZERO instructions of how to configure them for solo mining.....
Looks like someone is having fun mining all the blocks to themselves...
Looking forward to the chain being reset to ZERO when you explain how regular miners can mine this coin

You can increase hashrate by at least 20% simply by using Linux or WSL under Windows or even Docker

https://github.com/KarboDuck/karbo-wiki/wiki/Mining-in-WSL2

https://github.com/KarboDuck/karbo-wiki/wiki/Karbo-mining-in-docker

Join the mining community in Telegram https://t.me/karbo_mining instead of nagging here

Good to know that you think asking questions is NAGGING
I'm using LINUX...
Also can you please post any relevant info here.
We should not be having to join telegram to get info (Most of us can't use Telegram from our workplaces), or how's about using DISCORD like all the other devs???

These are my LINUX speeds if it helps anyone
5600x
1 thread  = 40 H/s
2 threads = 75 H/s
3 threads = 105 H/s
4 threads = 130 H/s
5 threads = 138 H/s
6 threads = 140 H/s
9 threads = 175 H/s

Have to agree with the Newbie.

Had a 5600x mining 9 threads, for 7 days straight.
Not ONE block!
Completely pointless to try mining this....

Clearly, someone out there has a much better way of mining this, that they are not sharing....
Until that is fixed....totally DEAD coin.

Update
Well there goes KARMA

Literally posted this, and won my very first block....
7 days, 8 hours and 35 minutes to win 2.22 Karbo (10 cents) - like i say, absolutely pointless
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ARG] Argentum || A New Begining || UPDATE YOUR WALLET || on: April 12, 2022, 11:53:43 AM
Guys
If anyone wants any ARG, forget the $20 a coin the other guy wants, i'll happily accept $1 a coin. Will sell in multiples of 5 coins upto 200 coins

J
I proposed ARG at price 20.63 USD/ARG, not 20 USD/ARG.
Price is high, because I was been scammed by dirty rat's on WavesPlatform.
So who want to help me, can buy this coin, and do whatever they want with this, then.

By the way, how much can you sell, at all?

I have 200 coins to sell, @ $1 per coin
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Seeking for Chia mining answers on: April 12, 2022, 11:36:29 AM
If you are running a chia mining build your attention is needed, I want to get some accurate answers about chia mining, I know its less profitable compared to GPU mining but what about chia build power consumption? Is it something that can work on a raspberry? How efficiency is it compare to running GPU rig?

Hi,

Since CHIA has been out over a year now, thier are all the answers you seek and much more.
You simply have to do a couple of google searches, and watch a few YT videos.
It will only take you a couple of hours to find out all you need to know.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Time to shut down Raptoreum rig? on: April 06, 2022, 10:19:04 AM
I have 7 ryzen CPU that I use for raptoreum mining and it was so profitable when raptoreum coin was at its ATH but now its not even worth mining, is it time to shut down my rig? .

Out of interest, what are your rigs please? cpu / ram ?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining CPU, RAM, SDD/HDD on: April 06, 2022, 10:11:17 AM
Hello friends,

Another question, I've heard time and time again that CPU, RAM, and SSD/HDD does not affect mining.

I want to know the specifics as to why it does or does not. If anyone is able to break it down for me or lead me towards the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

When mining use the GPU, how can affect the CPU the mining hashrate - right in no way. This is a no brainer

Only generally true, mainly for ETH....depending on the algo, and other factors, the cpu/ram can make a considerable difference to hash rate...the possibilities are endless, but i mine 1 coin that requires 1 core (not thread) and 4GB system ram, per GPU,  if i run 6 cards on a 4t/8t 16GB system i get less than half the performance as 6c12t 32gb ram...like i say, it GENERALLY makes zero difference, but some algos are very tricky.....advisers should not assume that the poster only wants to mine ETH, etc.

Same goes to newbie posters, please give as much detail as possible in your questions? What coin / algo, what specs of pc are you using / considering....all info help us, help you

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RE: [ANN] Gold Cash(GOLD)| A Rare Cryptocurrency (POW) on: March 31, 2022, 09:27:36 AM
Hi guys,

Just looking at coingecko....it says this coin if worth $0.00005938
So, it would take 100,000 coins to be worth $5.9
BUT block reward is 0.5GOLD, so you need to mine 200,000 blocks.
Block time is 5 mins, so 200,000 * 5 mins = 1,000,000 minutes, or 16666.6667 hours, or 694 days, simply to mine $6....

Am i missing something, or is this completely pointless?

I think someone releasing a Linux wallet (or simple compile instructions) for the latest versions of Ubuntu / LinuxMint would also help....

Hi JayDDee,

Love that you have made a GPU miner.

For us Windows guys, who have a go at compliling under Linux (i usually use LinuxMint 20, or Ubuntu 20), would you mind putting together a more comprehensive set of installation instructions.

I know i'm a dummy, but one thing i struggle with every time, is driver and cuda installs.
I get the latest driver, then cudu ses an older one, or cuda installs but then screws up the driver, then x-org, then crashes...total nightmare !!!

Clear step wise instructions assuming a completely clean new install of LM 20 or ubu20 would be great.

Looking forward to trying it.
Thanks

HI,

Downloaded wallet 2 days ago. (LinuxMint20.3)
Run for 2 days on 1 PC with 2 cores (50h/s) and 1 PC 8 cores (200h/s)
Neither PC has mined any blocks.

Any idea how to mine a block? Seems pretty pointless asking for 1000's of people to mine this coin if you don't even get a block a day.
Even 1 block a day is only like 10 cents a day.
Am i doing something wrong, or is this pointless to mine?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Mining: you WON’T pay for that card (with assumptions) on: January 17, 2022, 11:39:21 AM
20 cent power is high.

you need to understand 5,6,7 cent power is solid for mining ⛏

10,15,20 = risk ,more risk, high risk

Hi Phil,
Try the UK, residential power is now over 20p (£0.20) pkwr, plenty of miners making money over here though...just don't mine what the sheep mine
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 42-coin Development Discussion Thread on: January 13, 2022, 04:19:12 PM
Trying to mine 42 coin... The only pool is https://mcmpool.eu but I only get ORPHANS.  Not working.  Any advice. Thanks

Hi, if you look at the first page, you will see 42coin has been POS for years now.

I keep seeing random pools from it, but the block reward is always ZERO.

Although it says Zero + TX fees, in the last 2 years i have never come across anyone who has mined a block and got anything other than zero....
Also, i have 0.00004000 42 coin, and in over 2 years it has never staked once.

All in all, pretty dead coin really.
