341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!] on: September 02, 2019, 03:33:02 PM
You can use your GPU rig's CPU to mine MHC coins.
It requires just a little % of your CPU to run the Metagather app.
No open ports or such needed, just a 24/7 running PC. They will lend you the first 1000 coins
so you can start earning your own MHC coins.

Tried this out.
For first 1000 coins - "you are 11 in the queue" wtf? "keep your wallet to receive faster" i don't understand.
@whotheff any advice?

I'd be a little suspicious about this.....cna't be used from a mobile IP, only a "HOME" IP, hmm, how do they differentiate between a "HOME" and "WORK" IP?
I'm suspecting that you are allowing your PC and IP to act as a node, for a network, doing who knows what.....
I'm only guessing, but i'd read alittle more about first i think

I found this, it might help

Ah..i've about 300,000 ish
While you not spend this, you can raise the blockexplorer, connect this coin to the mining pools, an begin PR.

You do realise this coin was worth loads, over a year ago, but is now completely worthless.
It had an explorer, and an exchange.

Why try bring it back now then the block reward is 1/4 what it was, and there is no one wanting it.
The only reason i have so many laft, is cryptopia died very quickly and i got cuaght with them.
The 300,000 is just 1 wallet, i have about 12 more wallets....

LemonCoin will live forever. Cheesy Too bad it's not on any exchanges now
We can exchange it here.
For example:
Quote
Want to buy/sell 1 LEMON for BTC at price 1.47619048 LEMON/BTC,
just because total supply is 31,000,000 LEMON / 21,000,000 BTC ~ 1.47619048 LEMON/BTC.
Same for LTC, and all another crypto, and maybe - tokens.
If you agree - contact me PM.  Grin

Thank you, but I do not want to buy right now; I have a few LemonCoins too. Wink

When you say, you have a few...how many is a few?

Really not too much, I have mined it with an old laptop for a few months; I have mined 1200 coins so far. I had much more than this amount when it listed on Cryptopia (and Cryptopia existed).

Ah..i've about 300,000 ish

anyone mining with a raspberry pi 4 i would like to know what the hashrate is

i get about 25KH/s with a self build Ubuntu Server 64bit Image. Will probably be slower on standard Debian Buster (32Bit).

Is that the 1,2 or 4G pi4 please?

I get the same result on the 1GB and 4GB Model.
Would you happen to know your power consumption?

No. Sorry.... It's just hooked up to a 5V 2.5A USB PSU.

How are you getting on with the heat issues....is it in a case? with fan?

I'm using a passive Cooled FLIRC case. When Mining it hits ~60°C on the CPU. So no throttling.... Also no low power warnings.

That's real quite impressive.
Thanks for details.

Hi guys,
Is "m-wallet v1.4.6.2", still the latest desktop wallet please?
Thanks
J
Yes!

Thanks

Which is the best miner for Ryzen? I see they are all pretty old now

The 1 thing i don't get about MAGI, is why people are still mining it.

I mean, with 250khs, you're earning around 0.00003 BTC a day, so about 23p a day in the UK, but my power costs equate to 87p a day to produce it, so why not simply buy.
I know the price can fluctuate, but its been similar figures for over a year. I can only assume most people mining it, have free power.

Heard of too many scam recentyl I don't understand why is it that easy nowadays to CREATSE such projects. Why does Bitcointalk administration do not filter posts? Is this project a scam or this is a real project?

It's not a scam, but when Cryptopia delisted this coin, the project was abandoned (if I remember correctly).
, lol , i have seen a lot happen since the start of lemoncoin, and each time i thought that the end is reached some people pick it up again , think i start mining again , just for fun and you never know , it is crypto

Tell me about it, i never stopped mining it Smiley never had less than 2 cores on it for nearly 23 months

Hi all!

This old node working for me.
Code:
addnode=5.39.83.88:22331
To make the node, need to enable server in config.conf, listen the port, then make the port forwarding, test port is open, and then your node will be
Code:
addnode=YOUR_EXTERNAL_IP:PORT
Use DDNS, if you have dynamic IP.

I will not do my own node because I haven't free space on my disk to synchronize full LEMON blockchain.

I have the above noded added, but it seems not to be connected.

The only node i can see is 45.32.180.199:22331

J
Yeap, I checked the port for that host, and then write in console
Code:
getpeerinfo
and see this node too. So previous post was been edited.

Need to make the more nodes, because so many traffic will go there, if one node will be connected only.  Grin

Try 146.198.18.29:50999

You do realise that there is absolutely no-one mining this coin, and there is no explorer, or any exchange....and its quite diff to mine Smiley

I'm sorry, but WHAT are you talking about? Scam this, scam that, Administrators?...why don't YOU put in a little effort and read the first few pages, from way back in 2016 and then you'll answer your own questions.

If you can't be bothered, then i guess you'll prbably end up get scammed at some time.

This project was as real as it got, but over time has simply run its course, and is now dead....or at best in hibernation...
That tends to happen a lot in crypto...
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LighningCash-Gold --- NOW CPU-ONLY - The FASTEST bitcoin-based cryptocurrency !! on: August 29, 2019, 12:37:34 PM
Hmmm, i had 4 hives, there was work left for 1000+ blocks, then I updated the wallet version and they are marked as expired. What nonsense ?!

The real nonsense is people not reading what was posted above on 8/25, then blaming the new wallet for all of life’s troubles.  All you have is yourself to blame.

I think the real problem, is why all the forks? Like most people i dont check this every week, and now find out i have been on the wrong chain for days....not cool.
Besides, who forks a coin just before a Bank Holiday weekend....mind you i guess miners aren't supposed to have a life.

Mining to Optiminer HOdlcoin Mining Pool at the moment with an old V.3 wallet you get incoming payments like before the fork. The V.4 wallet is not working to Optiminer HOdlcoin Mining Pool yet.Blocks from optiminer pool can not be found at hodl explorer. Also i know that a V.3 wallet can not be used after the fork.I also upgraded my second hodlcoin wallet to V.4 and every transaction after the 4th of august is gone after a while. My question is what are these reward hodls coming in the V.3 wallet from mining at optiminer pool? Are they valid? You can not transfer them with a V.3 wallet nor you can have them with an upgrade to V.4 wallet!Block rewards at optiminer pool are 50 hodls, like before.

You are answering your own question....
Clearly the optiminer pool has not been upgraded yet if its rewards ae appearing in the v3 wallet....so effectively you are wasting your time mining on the old chain.

Just use the new wallet, and suprnova....quite simple really.

Hi,

Just saw the link, got very excited, and had to go look.

First up, i love your product, and would love to buy one....
However, sorry to say, but i think especially in the UK, your pice now seems way out of touch.

I mean fully loaded with psu and sd card, iys over £320 before shipping and taxes.
When you compare that to how ridiculously cheap 2nd hand L3+ now are...well, i don't really know what to say

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bitmain-Antminer-L3-504M-Scrypt-Litecoin-LTC-ASIC-Miner-504-MH-s-Bitmain-PSU/133149577170?hash=item1f00554fd2:g:aTIAAOSwbShdIxob

Look, i sincerely wish you all the best, and will still happily refer newbies to your product (as i say, i am a supporter, and it IS a prpbably the best starter device on the market), but one is bad, but by the time you buy 2 or 3, i mean you could have 1-1.5ghs from elsewhere.

In my mind its no more than a £200 device, fully loaded.

Just my 2p worth....
J

Thanks for your thoughts but not sure why people keep comparing it to L3s and telling me thats what they "should" be priced at. Its price exactly where it needs to be for me to make it, and pay my bills. This product cant even be compared to an L3 on any metric. Also im not bitmain that is losing 100s of millions of dollars a quarter. I actually operate in the real world where I have to pay my suppliers out of pocket (hence pre-orders), and cant sell something for a loss just because everyone else is.

Your buying a brand new product (not something 3+ years old), thats nearly twice the efficiency, made in the USA, incomparable sound level, and not to mention software updates for this will make it into a full blown casa node, that alone costs 300 USD. Personally I think I am selling this way cheaper than I should be, but im not in the business of unfairly pricing products for pure greed.

Like i said, just my initial thoughts when i saw the price...
However, i guess the reason it gets compared to the L£ it, well becuase they are both "scrypt" miners....erm, its the only competiton for the L3, so is obviously going to be compared.
I absolutely agree...of course you have to make money, how else will you be around to make even more great products. I don't follow Bitman, or who ever they are, so have zero idea that they lose money on their products...seems daft if they do
Don't have an Apollo, so can't comment on noise, my underclocked L3 is okay-ish noise wise, louder, but not as annoying as the moonlander 2's i have, which screech like banshees....
No idea what a Casa node is, so completely irrelevant. (I'm buying a scrypt miner)
Made in the USA, well I'm British, so that means absolutly nothing to me...i know China, whilst making lots of crap, also make world class products, its all down to picking the right suppliers, and managing them. I guess The US of A makes good products too.

Like i say, i absolutely WILL recommend your products to people i think they will suit, and to be honest thats just about every newbie, who wants to dip a toe in, and every "family" guy/gal who wants a beautiful product that can sit in the living room, being a talking point...they look a wierd thing of beauty....i simply think for the more seasoned miner, especially if you want to ramp up the MH, and certainly from a UK perspective, with shipping and taxes, they look a tad expensive ( i never said a complete ripoff, just a tad expensive)
If i ever get offered a 2nd hand one at a decent price, i will happily add it to my collection, and give it a decent test...i actually think, its about as exiting as the original Zeus miners, off which i have about 10, and all thou completely out dated, still make me smile mainly due to their simplicity, and elegance, something i also see in your product. ( like i say i havent seen an Apollo in the flesh, but on YT, etc, they look bloody sexy - for a miner)

The one thing no-one has yet confirmed to me, is can they solo mine directly to a wallet, as the moonlanders do, or not? Thay would actually be the make or break point for me, since i only ever solo mine.

TBH, this coin should have died a long time ago.

I foolishly re-downloaded the wallet a while ago, and started from scratch with it agin...BUT, 8 days later, i still have over 700,000 blocks to go....it's an absolute joke !
I'm running a modern Ryzen system, plenty of ram, fast ssd, fast internet, and ...well enuff said really.Shame cos i got quite into this coin at one stage, but with the syncing issues and diffciulty, it was only ever going one day.

Shame really, cos i'm a die hard scrypt / scrypt-N guy, but the numberous alternatives simply work better

RIP
