1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost over 80k because i sold too early (newbie mistake) on: February 16, 2018, 05:34:23 PM
You didn't lose money. You lost an opportunity to make more. What I do most of the time is dollar-cost average my coins purchased on dips and sell half at every price double. Worked like magic.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Is Broken on: February 14, 2018, 12:26:51 PM
How about forkdelta? I don't wanna use ED but for now we don't have much alternatives. I've read they've forked ED but still use the same smart contract after the hack has happened.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Journey - 1 Bitcoin until the end of 2018 - 01BTC on: February 14, 2018, 11:15:41 AM
I like this. Aiming 1 BTC from a few hundred dollars. If btc won't rise really high this year, this could really be achievable. I started last year and I can say you can really reach 1 BTC by a few hundred dollars because when I first saw it it was still about $1,000. But yeah, good luck on your journey. Would definitely follow this.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron (TRX) I missed the opportunity.. sad... on: February 14, 2018, 11:12:42 AM
Never touched that coin in my life. I like to watch Charlie Lee troll Justin on twitter tho.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: February 10, 2018, 12:07:20 PM
Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: There are about 100-200 ICOs every month and less than 20% of that is legit and less than 50% of that 20% is even gonna work. Everybody needs to read it all about and not follow the hype. 1-2 ICO participations every month is a good call. Spreading it on different months and different projects which you've read thoroughly. And stop screaming moon about it.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties and airdrops on: February 09, 2018, 04:05:14 PM
I really love the internet. Some would really do a lot of research for something, lessening the effort I need to do on almost everything.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Kucoin troubles on: February 09, 2018, 04:03:47 PM
Still a young exchange. Give it time. I had one problem in depositing some ERC-20 accounts in their exchange and I've just waited for a while, contacted support and got it fixed in the next 6 hours. Some delays for the dividends, but it's all still good for a go. But I would really suggest not keeping almost everything on any centralized exchange.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: February 06, 2018, 03:29:38 PM

Quote

DRGN is an ERC20 token which accesses the Dragonchain platform. In the future, DRGN may be swapped to a token which runs on the Dragonchain platform instead of Ethereum.
Can't wait for that to happen! Once it does. FOMO will really kick in! I am holding a few and too bad I missed the Looklateral Presale.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500 Portofolio on: February 06, 2018, 03:28:15 PM
I'll stay 20% in BTC at least. The rest will be in long term holds. It's hard to day-trade in crypto with that value. It's not worth your time. Work hard instead and continue purchasing cryptos by dollar-cost averaging each one.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy BTC? on: February 05, 2018, 11:28:39 PM
Buy buy buy!!! "Be greedy when others are fearful, be fearful when others are greedy." Correct me if I'm wrong but SEC meetings are on today. And I believe this is a bullish news
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: February 04, 2018, 09:31:07 AM
Some guy compiled the profitability of ICOs year-to-year. I can't seem to find where I've seen it. Bottom line, ICOs have lesser and lesser profitabilities in comparison with the previous years. More and more people flip ICOs, sure it's the best way to make profits without drawing lines on a chart. But it needs a lot of research. Will it die? No. Will it be profitable? Probably. But you know, SEC is knocking on the doorway. So, we might see less and less of these things this year.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asian coins to look out for in 2018 !! on: February 04, 2018, 09:25:09 AM
Look for coins that penetrate huge industries. Blockchain has applications to many of it. Look for the coins that have more use-cases rather than the hype. I've been flipping ICOs that has hype, but I don't hold the for log(e.g. TRX, VEN, XVG). I prefer coins that would disrupt some industry with its usecase, and with less hype, so I can accumulate(Maker token had no hype for 3 years).
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could the Bitcoin price by the end of 2018 only 4000$ - 6000$? on: February 04, 2018, 09:20:54 AM
Could be possible. Market dominance of Bitcoin has gone down to less than 40% from 80-90% at the beginning of 2017. With fiat pairs on other cryptos available incoming, most of the new people enter the market without even purchasing bitcoin. Even with what we say, the lightning network or any other upgrades that will come on the blockchain of bitcoin, there would still be no other use for it but just a store of value. From the 6k bounce, I think we might not see another exponential growth but a less volatile and more stabilized one.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the biggest changes in your life caused by Bitcoin? on: February 02, 2018, 08:29:47 PM
So sad, I have always had same thoughts on suicide, thinking I should kill myself, but at the same time feeling afraid of dying. Bitcoin really helped me, I had a lot of problems, I wasn’t able to feed myself or do anything. I wasn’t able to achieve a single thing just because I had no money, and nobody wanted to be my friend. I was being neglected by everyone, and I felt like no one needed me anymore in this world, I felt like I’m supposed to end my life… then I discovered bitcoin. I tried my first year, but through out my first year on Bitcoin I earned nothing. I wanted to give up, but there was no other option to choose, so I had to continue with it. Luckily for me, now things are changing, I’ve been able to achieve a little with Bitcoin and thanks for how far I’ve been able to go.
I can still remember how desperate I was back then thinking life was really pointless. Graduated from college and had a really hard time to do so. My first post here was about how to earn these. I even stayed 12+ hours a day just to claim on faucets. Now, even when the market's crashing I'm still doing pretty well. Now I have a job and I trade during the night. Crypto gave me a huge opportunity last year to trade and invest with just a few cents.

This makes me worried for those who are losing big time at the moment. The unseen victims of those who manipulate things in life.
Ditto. But it could've been worse. I think this is just a 2013 remake.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: January 31, 2018, 05:17:57 PM
This is a really old topic. I'm not surprised it hasn't died yet since this is a general question. I remember the day I posted in this thread asking the same question last year. Sounds kind of nostalgic. But well, this year it won't be possible to earn this much money in a month if you're not willing to bleed some.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC to reach 200 day moving average and previous high in Nov 2017 (?) on: January 31, 2018, 05:12:57 PM
Remember how BTC moves, when it goes down hard, it moonshots in the next rally. That's what I want to think this year, but I feel this one's different. This could be the year where BTC could be dethroned as the top 1 market cap. If that 200 MA is broken down, it could be the beginning of the end, or the end of a beginning, depending on what perspective are you in.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $300 into a million? Possible? on: January 31, 2018, 05:05:22 PM
Yes, it would be possible. It is even possible that tomorrow would be the end of the world. Probable? More likely less than more. Trading is much of a probability case than possibility case. You could probably reach that goal amount, but don't expect you'll get it in a year.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the biggest changes in your life caused by Bitcoin? on: January 31, 2018, 04:29:48 PM
It took me away from suicide.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: kucoin still waiting for ETH after 9 hours. (Solved, eventually arrived) on: January 20, 2018, 11:16:39 AM
Deposited my INS tokens, 200+ confirmations and 1 hour. I should've used less gas if this was the case.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: January 16, 2018, 06:18:43 AM
Similar story like the one with the guy who paid 10 000 BTC for 2 pizzas back in 2010. Poor guys  Embarrassed

That's actually a different story. That was a milestone, a sacrifice meant. Had that transaction never happened, BTC could still be a neopet currency.
